Thorton... Thornton... maybe just call him 'Mike'?

Think of it as the counterweight that keeps the universe in balance.

Question Time: Your Interview With Chris Avellone
Gorth replied to Alvin Nelson's topic in Obsidian General
Nice So thats who the true sith were... -
Where is the John Cleese option? I wonder if it is telling that I couldn't even remember the guys name? While the queen may have been around during WWII, she can't really be seen mingling with commoners, can she? Standards to maintain and all that.

*Groan!* Bad kitty I must admit that I was speculating a bit on how far away from the Bermuda triangle it is/was. My sincere condolences to those who may have relatives on board that plane.

Yay, just the kind of stuff frequent flyers needs to read

Space Marines of course. Eldar are alien scum and should be purged with extreme predjudice Besides, Space Marine is a life time of devotion. As Commissar Gaunt puts it "only in death does duty end". Warrior Path Eldar eventually finds other paths* *unless they manage to get themselves blown up, get eaten by Slaanesh or get stuck on their path and become Exarchs, but the latter tend to be a minority.

Heresy! If Nathaniel Garro heard you say that...

What we need is *this* as a crpg (those are the good guys btw)...

The asp thing sort of went out of fashion with the Ptolemaic dynasty, didn't it? Junk food and daytime tv seems popular options these days. Running around in the Cemetary Swamp in the Witcher. I hate to say this, but the swamps in The Withcer are even better than sewers! Once finished, I'll have to make up my mind if I should pick up either STALKER Clear Sky or X3 The Terran Threat again or, most likely, go pick up Dead Space. Edit: Continued Here

The trailer isn't too shabby either (not sure how to link to the HD version) Sometimes you wish they would just make a full length feature CGI movies with that stuff.
-
That Dead Space trailer was creepy indeed. I might have to investigate that game a bit more. I remember seeing it on the shelf at EB Games. Maybe I should just pick it up I haven't heard about that Team Fortress game, but the videos were hilarious I don't know why I never got into those point and click adventure games. Maybe it is time to realise that the era of text adventures is indeed past its prime Does The Longest Journey run on Vista 64 bit?

By the sounds of it, there is a cap of 10 points for non specialisation skills and 15 for specialisation (if I understood the article correctly).

You just described sheep and cows Masochist... I suspect it is not because of the food, but because you want to do it for her then In that case, if leaving out the meat is the only requirement, isn't just about any dish available in a no meat version? Pizzas, Pasta, Quiche, Stews, Curries, Rice dishes etc. List of delicious looking food stuff
-
You should have picked up a meat lover instead Not much help there I am afraid. I don't even know the difference between a vegetarian and a vegan. Aren't there any places in Wellington where you can order stuff like that delivered from?

How to get KOTOR 2 to run on Vista 64-bit?
Gorth replied to webman1200's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Have you tried the "step by step" guide? http://forums.obsidian.net/index.php?showt...mp;#entry760302 It is possible to Kotor2 on 64bit Vista (playing it on a quad core, 8gb ram system), but it can be a bit tricky getting there. The engine wasn't made for anything post Pentium, 32bit. It works mostly fine, except it does crash on the odd occasion when transitioning to and from the bink player. That part really is a killer. -
Remember that the game stores your saves under your game characters name? I.e. if I play as 'Gorth', I can only see the saves created for the 'Gorth' character. Creating a few characters with the random name generator can be particular vexing when trying to find a previous save. As for support... we wish. Unfortunately, the MMO in development seems to be all that occupies the publishers mind these days, not support for old games (still dreams of a real 32/64 bit Windows version of Tie Fighter and other old Lucas Arts games)

Thread pruned a bit. If anybody has a problem with not using 'gay' as a perjorative (sp?), feel free to drop me (or one of the other moderators) a PM
-
Just a friendly reminder for newcomers as well as oldies (as some seems to forget as times goes by)... Discussing review processes and possible shortcomings is fine, name calling of Obsidians colleagues in the game making business isn't: It doesn't really matter if it is Bethesda, Blizzard, Bioware, Square Enix or whoever else people have a beef with. It saves me a lot of work pruning threads and sending individual PM's with all kind of nastiness if people would just stick to constructive discussion That being said, which reviewers get the best fringe benefits?
-
Oh, it gets better yet later. Like, hey, wait a sec... *censored*. What just hit me? Over the top kind of silly Chapter 4 is actually a very nice break from the pace and setting of Vizima.

You put Anniversary below The Angel of Darkness, the game typically seen as the lowest point in the series? You crazy bastard. That's like when people rank Alien 3 or 4 above the first two. I specifically said "Tombraider game that I've started". I've never played Angel of Darkness, as I stopped buying the games in disgust after Last Revelation and only picked them up again with Legends After uninstalling Anniversary (shortly before reaching Atlantis), I installed the original and a loader tool that some clever geek came up with, which enables it to run on Windows XP in a decent resolution. Played it and completed it and felt all sad that they didn't try to make something like the original game instead (that would run on post 16 bit PC's)

Will there be women in this game?
Gorth replied to Humodour's topic in Alpha Protocol: General Discussion
Seems like we are getting WoT (Way off topic here)... -
no, No, NO!, Arghh!!!! It's bad, as in really, really bad. An insult to lovers of the original dos based, GLide driver powered Tombraider everywhwere. It was *that* bad. Pretend it doesn't exist, just like Master of Orion 3. There has been ups and downs in the franchise, but it is the only Tombraider game that I've started and uninstalled before finishing. And that despiste liking some parts of Legends and loving most parts of Underworld.

You sure did. I just felt badly because, maybe I did take the "easy" way out by closing it Edit: Still playing The Witcher. Getting close to the end of chapter 3. Finishing all the little lose ends that needs tidying up before moving on. Bought a 300 Orens gold ring for Shani and she wanted a silver ring... go figure.
