RPGs of 2005
I hear you. One would think that being neighbors and all we would do better at understanding each other. Ah, the bitter irony... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If he talk in portuguese I can understand what he says, Portuguese isn't very different than gallego <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sim, ouvi dizer que haviam algumas semelhan

Etymology
Why, yes mister taks, that is correct As for my username.... no surprise: I have played RPGs for several years, from tabletop to electronic versions, and the concept of playing a role stuck on. Hence, role-player. Nothing deep, mysterious or particularly insightful. As for avatar... I tend to change it every once in a while. My current one is basically me. Or rather, a photoshoped photo of mine. I'm thinking of a new avatar, but I never seem to stick with one I like. Same with my sigs and ranks (when I can have a custom one, that is).

Violence in Video Games
I think any depiction of violence has an influence in human psyche, in the same way everything - one way or another - has effects on the human psyche. However, I just feel its rather hypocritical of some to condemn and actively oppose violence in videogames, or rather it's depiction, while not going after other targets. If the concern for violence and how it affects people, specially children, is honest, then at least apply the standars to all instances of it, not just videogames.
