  1. So you wish to have KOTOR 3 be a Easter Egg hunt, instead of a game about the invasion of the Sith? Yay KOTOR 3 can not waste time in searching for anything. To do so would be boring. Especially in a conclusion. Agreed.
  2. And that's why post counts suck.
  3. Oh well... sh1t happens. Heh. And here I thought you liked BL. Suddenly you decided to change your criteria to make a point? " How convenient.
  4. Tried to d/l it from the link at LA, but it was broken. I'll try that one now.
  5. Again, the same can be said of any war. And I still see no complaints about any other war game. Yup, the Vietnam war was a horrible thing. The wars the romans waged against Carthage were not devoid of cruelty either. The only difference is that they didn't have napalm. Um, at the time, nobody knew that the nazis were exterminating the jews, except for the nazis themselves. By entering the war against germany, the US were doing just as they did in Vietnam, that is, look after their own interests. That often involves the death of lots of people. I'm not playing devil's advocate here, it's just the way things work. You know, the soviets probably killed more people in the USSR existence than the nazis ever did. There was no war between the US and the USSR, even though there were a few close calls. None of those, however, were because of the millions that had died and were still dying in the siberian camps. So don't give me a speech about crusades in the name of good, because those aren't any more real than Santa.
  6. It sucks to be you. I know, because it's more or less the same with me... 20.
  7. Because most vietnam war games focus on the glory of a war that in reality, had very little of it. That's hipocrisy. All of the above can be applied to any war, from the dawn of time. War is nasty business, no matter if you 'win' or lose. The problem here is that the 'Nam conflict is still a sensitive spot for north americans because of the beating they took. It happens to the best of us. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. That's how wars work. If you say that you don't like the idea of war games, thats OK with me. But so far I've not seen a single comment against MOHAA or BF1942. And that was one hell of a war. On topic, I prefer Battlefield Vietnam...
  8. LOL, that's what I call subtlety. It's as if I say 'All of you f*ckheads suck donkey balls for a living (no offense)'. Great job, dipsh!t (no offense).
  9. Well, I'm keeping my vote until I finish it, but so far, I like TSL better. I find it to have a more mature tone, and it's waaaay more cinematic than the first, and in a good way. I know I used to say that people should watch movies instead of wanting 'cinematic games', but I really like how stuff happens not only in front of the PC. And um, the fact that I haven't run into any bugs and have only crashed 3 times has probably got something to do with it, too. " Yep, I'm definitely buying this one. If only there was some challenge to the game...
  10. I don't find those dangerous. I just find them random. Associating 'good' with what is evolutionarily efficient is not more logical than associating it with hot dogs with double chili. The whole reasoning's logic is utterly flawed. Other than the human judgements applied to it (ie. what's good and what's bad), the paragraph's absolutely correct. Just change 'good' for 'efficient', and you got it. It turns out that our so vaunted moral scale of good and evil is just a random conception that somebody made up to help themselves feel better in the face of an unforgiving nature or perhaps ease social relations with other human beings. There's no such a thing as good or evil in nature and there's not even an unanimous consensus about what is good and what is evil among human beings. You are just evaluating those from the value scheme you have received due to the conditions you've grown in. That doesn't make you right, the same way it doesn't make you wrong. You are just a product of the circumstances. Ok, enough with the brain fart already.
  11. No. K2 is a licensed product. If it hadn't been OE who had done it with a crappy contract, it would have been someone else, with a crappy contract anyway. LA surely has loads of devs that would do anything to get a SW license. But then again, it hasn't been a week since the game's release on the PC. We'll see about the patch.
  12. That's something I have noticed too. But then again, that's the way FMVs were in K1, the dream sequences and stuff, real lo-res. So that's really not a game fault.
  13. I just worship meself.
  14. Owned. And about alcohol... well, I just wish I could have it without having to deal with the hangover in the morning... or the rotten liver in the future.
  15. Er... I believe I already stated I had suffered a read error of sorts while installing for the first time. Apart from that, only 1 freeze so far, and I'm on Telos' surface. I know it sounds odd, but the game so far is more stable than K1 ever was. Even patched. At least for me.
  16. Yep. With all the amount of moaning about bugs and reading you had had 3 failed installations, when I suffered my first crash at install, I began to tremble... But it seems I'm in that small percent of people who isn't running into any bugs. I might still buy this game after all.
  17. Catalyst 3.10. Yep, I'm REAL lazy.
  18. I don't know but you actually get dumber as you get older... it's a fact. A sad, but true fact.
  19. I just hate those introductory chapters in which you're playing the game but you're still not *into* the game. I was bored to death in Taris and much the same way, I couldn't wait to get the hell out of Peragus. So since Peragus is shorter, Peragus gets my vote. And I want my lightsaber, now.
  20. Well, so far I've done Peragus and apart from a failed first installation, I have found zero bugs. No crashes, no graphic glitches, nothing. I hope it stays that way. And I have an ATi Card. " No. Neither have you. So quit assuming OE can do whatever they want with the license. Perhaps they can put out patches at their own discretion, or perhaps they don't. I don't know. YOU don't know.
  21. Only unrelated in your mind. Copyright infringement can be commited by Mike Gallo himself, if he doesn't count with the official support of LA. OE MUST be allowed to put out a patch by LA, due to the license stuff, at least from a legal standpoint. That can't be argued.
  22. You are not reading either, are you Volo? I didn't say LA will sue OE. I said that just the threat of a possible lawsuit is enough for OE to wait for the official thumbsup for the patch, if there is any. And in case you don't know, LA has been known for shutting down mod projects and whatnot for not complying with copyright laws and stuff. The same could happen with a patch.
  23. THINK before you post. They are not going to risk a lawsuit just because a bunch of people whine and bitch for a patch on their forums. Nobody with half a brain would.
  24. No, I don't think it's comparable to Shenmue. That one was released on a failed console, while KotOR/TSL were released on Xbox and PC formats, both sound, successful platforms. Shenmue was a rather unknown brand, while everyone knows Star Wars. K2 is out worldwide, while Shenmue 2 was only available in Japan. Those are important enough differences.
