  1. That's what freedom is all about. But I suppose that's a wee bit past beyond your grasp. When you are done with Sesame Street, ask your daddy to explain it to you. I'm discussing based on the info I have, nothing more. Unlike you, I don't make up excuses or imaginary arguments that may or may not be true to justify my claims. If you read the first post (yeah, I know, reading too much might cause you an aneurysm) it clearly states: Heh. So, again, you're proving you're arguing about something whose actual relation to reality is totally random. Yeah, you really do know how to craft compelling arguments. So says the guy who doesn't need facts to back his claims. Priceless. Get a clue. Socialism does work. Europe is the living proof of that. actually, it's not socialism. it's called social democracy. there's a difference... Social democracy is a form of socialism.
  2. Eh? That doesn't change anything. They were laid off despite an overall company gain. No matter how much you try to simplify things, the facts are there. a) No. b) I told you before, but I'm a patient person. Don't make up corporate excuses that nobody cares about. You don't know if any of that crap is true, and even if it was, it's not justification enough. I already explained and backed this. On the other hand you provide, uh, nothing except 'that's BS cause I say so'. Your debating skills would be unparalelled if this was a kindergarten nap room. I guess you know what you're talking about since you've already proven you're the dodge master around here. I do. However, those aren't good enough reasons to enact mass layoffs, no matter how loud you cry. That's probably your stupidest argument yet. However, I'm convinced you will outperform yourself in the future, though. If there's something you have shown is talent for inane coments. So, if you own something you can do whatever you want with it, is that so? Ok. I own this nice aluminium baseball bat. Since it's mine, I can do whatever I want with it, such as crack someone's head open with it. Hey, it's mine. Don't you dare tell me what I can and cannot do with it.
  3. Right. But that difference doesn't change the fact that you said you were forced to leave your job. That was the only assumption I was making, and judging from your original post, that's what anyone would understand. You later changed that because it was convinient to you, but that's irrelevant. So your point is moot. It doesn't really matter. It's just an example of how 'solid' your posts are. You dodged the other part of my post though, in which I said you were just making assumptions. I only spoke about the facts, that is, a company which has had benefits this quarter, is enacting mass layoffs. Then you went on mumbling corporate excuses I couldn't care less about, because for starters, your guess is as good as mine. Anti-freedom? You have a rather amusing concept of freedom. Freedom is not a state of mind in which you do whatever you please whenever you feel like it. Surprised yet? Funny how people associate freedom with the level of despotism one can be subject to in his job, but then overlook things as individual rights and liberties, that incidentally, are being reduced every day in the very place where you are allowed more 'freedom' from a business standpoint. Oh but that's right. You aren't discussing the real world. It's your world we're talking about, and that one changes whenever it's convenient for you. I never said they had won. But anyway, with their law on their side, they stand a good chance of winning the lawsuit. You would know those things if you had actually read something in this thread. Oh well, better luck next time. Great job at dodging the issue! I wasn't talking about promotions, but about layoffs. You already knew that but you'd rather give me the astounding tale of a honest worker in the land of meeting room sharks, which has nothing to do with what we're discussing. Please, next time you feel you are about to go off on a tangent, make a clear warning, so I can skip it altogether and not waste my time reading the product of your mental diarrhea.
  4. Huh? Can't you remember what you just wrote or is it you're just lying? Well, that's just a mixture of assumptions and plain lack of reading comprehension skills. There were no such 1.5 million employees. 1.5 billion were the profits of the company. Feeling confused, are we? But don't worry about all that stupid real world nonsense. All you should care about is the little world you have made up in your head in which you run your company as you like and don't give a f*ck about anything else. No, in Finland, you don't. Let's just hope the example will be followed by more countries. You lose. Do you really believe that? Boy, you're even more gullible than I thought. The actual worker efficiency is only one of the many factors that come into play when deciding who is to be fired. And it's definitely not the one with the most weight. Get a clue. Socialism does work. Europe is the living proof of that.
  5. Yep. With that, I must agree, to a point at least. You have a certain advantage over Atton, and that's that all of your levels are Jedi levels. But it doesn't matter because at that level, combat never lasts more than three rounds. Either you die, or they do. I think the devs realized this a bit too late, and gimped the AI so you don't have to be constantly reloading. That's what happens when you stretch the ruleset too much.
  6. He's talking about the regular Sith troopers that you have to kill with the turret before taking off with the Hawk, not the assassins.
  7. Priceless. I wonder why there weren't more smooth talking options like that.
  8. Feh. That has an easy solution. They just let you control Atton as he faces Sion. Since he can't be killed, eventually, Atton would get owned. IF and only IF Sion used the Force powers and combat feats he's entitled to as a high level Sith lord. Let's just say he goes around spamming Force Storm, Force Wave, or an almost irresistible Kill. Would you be happy then? The problem is not that Atton is an unstoppable juggernaut, because due to enemy scaling, Sion will be too. The problem is that you are used to absolutely unchallenging combat. Do you really think that if the AI behind Sion used the character to its full potential Atton could beat him? Think again.
  9. Uh, that's what the topic was about at the beginning...
  10. I think I should go get me some EA shares.
  11. Um, you have a point. However it's not the story or the scripted ending that's wrong. It's that Sion & Co. are so ridiculously easy. If instead of rampant leveling and enemy scaling there had been a more 'by the book' approach to the original ruleset, we wouldn't be having this discussion, because the Sith Lords would have been fearsome, worthy foes. Or at least we would have had something like Malak. "
  12. Whoa, whoa! I know you weren't telling me what had happened in my game. The reply wasn't aimed at you, man. Peace.
  13. No, I was too busy replying to little trolls that tell me what happened in MY game to pay attention. I'll try to do better next time. Some creatures used grenades on you? You mean boma beasts and shyracks used grenades on you? And you ask me if I have been paying attention?
  14. Still, it's another plot hole. If you aren't familiar with the d20 ruleset in which that skill is explained, there's no explaining how Kreia couldn't sense them. To be honest, I hadn't thought of it.
  15. Well, I'd say it's pretty focused on the removal of the limb, since the camera displays the hand lying in a pool of blood, if only to show the power of the lightsaber. And in KotOR 1 you have our lovely Malak having some fun with Bastila in the torture table. Sure, no blood, no hacking limbs, but electroshocking is as fine a torture method as any.
  16. Force sensitives can develop a skill that allows them to hide their presence from other Force sensitives. Since those assassins had supposedly killed quite a lot of Jedi, it makes sense that they would be proficient at being unnoticed around targets that could detect them beforehand.
  17. I'm starting my second playthrough, DS this time around. The first time I didn't use room wiping Force powers, just my lightsaber, and that gave the Sith on Trayus academy plenty of time to use their Force powers if they had wanted to. That would be OK if those damned Sith Marauders used flurry or power attack instead, but they didn't. And what's funny is that the regular Sith lords dealt way more damage in melee than the marauders. I'm guessing that due to the way the enemy leveling was done, if they used combat feats or Force powers regularly, the game would be insanely difficult near the end. And why the hell do they look like bantha herders?
  18. Huh? Care to explain exactly how did you arrive to this conclusion? Well, saying that the story should suffer because the power balance throughout the game is poor is a weak argument at best. I know it sucks to have a Sith Lord that goes down in two saber swipes, but that's not an excuse to have a badly resolved plot. Some fight back, some just die, some run. Um, I saw Luke's hand severed, just as I saw Anakin's and that poor sod's in the Mos Eisley cantina. I saw Dooku and Palps use Force lightning against defenseless oponents. I saw Han Solo shoot first ( ). From what I've read, the scripted ending didn't have anything worse than that.
  19. Um, no. Sion only broke down my protections the first time I found him. That's about all the Force he used. I just brought them back up, and proceeded to give him the beating he was entitled to. Nihilus didn't even bother with my protections. He just tried to saber me down. I'm not overly fond of uber lightsaber upgrades, so I didn't have a one-hit-kill lightsaber for any of those encounters. Guardian jump is not a Force power like the others because it's activated automatically to attack distant enemies if the line of sight is clear. But even if it is as you say, that doesn't explain why the other bunch of Force sensitive enemies you fight in the latter part of the game don't use Force powers either. The same for combat feats. I've tried both difficult and normal, and it doesn't seem to affect AI behaviour.
