  1. Well, that was an interesting read.
  2. "My fellow libertarians, we can no longer tolerate the oppression of the supernatural! It is time we take action against those filthy capitalist ghosts that threaten to turn our children into cheap TV show fodder! ...And, at any rate, we can conclude that America sucks! Who is with me?!" Well now. That explains why the most supernatural thing that's ever happened to me is my keychain repeatedly going missing for no apparent reason.
  3. Yeah, that's what I thought, too.
  4. At any rate... what's to prevent me from taking the test over and over again until I finally get a perfect score?
  5. Don't do it, Gluupor!
  6. Those are all good points as to why the d20 scale isn't well suited to measure the real world. You would think that is just common sense, but apparently, it's not so. I mean, this thread was started just for fun, and here are you guys making statistical analyses. At any rate, I think I read somewhere that the average IQ wasn't 100, but more like 85-90, which kinda conflicts with the test threshold. Oh yeah mkreku, it looks like you went to considerable lengths to associate d20 stats with IQ results, but you forgot to take into consideration attribute modifiers gained at level up. Which means that, at the end of their career, a gifted child could be at 22 INT. Which is yet another absurd, since intelligence decreases with age.
  7. What you want is Battlefront 2. Yeah. Like the Sky... er... thingy on Onderon.
  8. No, he wasn't. It's a blatant CGI sequence. I'd like to see you try and perform a lightsaber fight choreography, and then perhaps you'd have a higher opinion of a 60+ year old man doing the same stuff. That kind of tricks are really lame and result in pretty awful sequences. Well, I think that Palps was pretending, and probably he was not trying to kill Mace. Which isn't necessarily the same as hold back.
  9. Commissar wins the thread.
  10. That's probably the one of the most ludicrous comments I've ever read in these boards.
  11. I really don't see why you are so interested in people proving their supposedly superior intellects to you. Most likely they can't, but we already know that. We already know that lots of people live in a perpetual state of self-delusion. So, again, why do you care? Do you feel like you have something to prove?
  12. Again, the duel is slow because it's a duel performed by real actors in contrast to Palps vs Yoda that is CGI. Do you know how old Ian McDiarmid is? That is NOT a solid argument.
  13. Sorry man, it's not my problem if you have an obsession with that smiley. And again, instead of posting inane complaints, you could be doing something useful with your time. I guess. Maybe. Perhaps not.
  14. indeed.
  15. Thread Duplication At Its Finest.
  16. Don't be a rolleyes smiley spammer. )
  17. You know your heart wouldn't be able to resist it if I told you. Please tell me who is putting a gun against your head to read these topics so I can report the crime.
  18. The torque could be countered by having two layers of "saucers", spinning in different directions. But I don't think such a device could generate impulse because a wing needs an edge to create the pressure differential, which a flying saucer lacks, at least in the direction of the spin.
  19. What you are proposing is to make an object static with respect to the aether. Since there is no such thing as an universally static system of reference (or aether), to do such a thing is simply not possible.
  20. It needs a brand new ruleset. The "tweaked" d20 version sucks ass, big time.
  21. kthxbye
  22. Experts? On what exactly? Electroshocking combined with sleep deprivation works much better than other, more conventional, methods of torture. And on the other hand, it's not like they let Iraqi prisoners watch a bit of CNN before they were tortured.
  23. You make a bind of that and then use it when you take down one of those Black Hawks chock full of soldiers... with a tank shell.
  24. The compat settings have helped me run a lot of older games, and trust me, they work. Not always, though. I hear that the ACT is even better, but it's not exactly user-friendly and the only time I had to use it, the problem didn't really lay with the OS.
