  1. I've only used Dale Keeper II once, when I got stuck for throwing some items I needed later on at some point. I was really afraid of the program corrupting my characters to be honest...
  2. "Why is Waidwen's Legacy happening?" Is what kept me playing. The looming threats to my character came after that...that and why I'm out of the sudden a Watcher. If you really need all the story exposed within the first hour of the game to keep you interested, I'm afraid Mr Avellone's style ain't gonna suit you...he has a tendency to give you small questions and once you keep answering them you get new ones until everything is revealed by the last arc. May I suggest Call of Duty? It seems to be more in line with your tastes in storytelling. Let me guess...people who played 1 hour of the game.
  3. Really dude? Well cheat then, nobody will be judging you for that at least...
  4. This is actually legitimate, I don't mind waiting for my copy, although mine will be signed so...but I think they kinda screwed up with the shipping company. They should consider maybe hiring more people to speed shippings up if too many people are having this problem.
  5. I think they shoould explain the situation to the author and give him/her the option to replace what he/she paid money to have written in game...if he/she wants to that is. On the other hand, I have zero sympathy for anybody showing the level of hatred the offended parts show towards a group of people. Nobody is committing genocide against trans people, so if you can joke about "hating all men" like she did here ( http://ask.fm/icequeenerika ) you don't have any right to feel offended for anything like this. After all for what I understood the guy committing suicide here is the deceived one, not the one dressed as a woman...
  6. True, not everybody, but a lot of important people. As for calling them the "creators of Baldur's Gate" is far fetched since the studio changed so much, it would be like having a new company called Troika with few of the remaining guys there, give them a completely different publisher and pretend they are the same and thank them for ToEE or Bloodlines. Same names, different companies. And no, the "it's EA's fault" excuse doesn't help me since EA gave Bioware a lot of freedom they hadn't given to any other studio under their clutches, so it is something they did to themselves...it's just hubris, when you have an entire community denying your faults and telling you 24/7 how totally awesome you are, you think you can do no wrong and then start to screw up. Add to it that the fact that said community uses destructive criticism and gives it a spotlight over the valuable criticism (in order to show how evil their detractors are) and you got what happened to them. It doesn't matter that a hundred people complains about ****ty combat mechanics if the only guy getting the spotlight is the redneck who "no want no fagget characters in ma gaem". I disagree that Bioware killed RPG's, mostly because one company can't kill a genre. It was mostly a concerted effort, Bioware has part of the blame, but so does Atari abusing their D&D license, Troika going bankrupt and Bethesda getting too ambitious for the talent they had. Hell I think Blizzard is guilty of hurting the genre than any of the guys I've talked about here. I can sympathise with the feeling, but remember that love, is an illusion of the senses, like hate. Sorry for the long post.
  7. Ohh bollocks...then I can just hope it gets here by mid summer...
  8. And yet you are talking as if the company stayed the same over time, while it didn't...Ray Muzika isn't even working there anymore. So no Obsidian doesn't owe jack to Bioware.
  9. I actually like how they are played, I would love their habilities to be more powerful but that is something I extend to all classes equally...lay on hands is amazing, although I don't see the aura effects I'm supposed to...
  10. Bioware is the reason Pillars of Eternity exists, as well. You can't look at just one side of things and make opinions from that. You misspelled Black Isle Edit: BTW I don't agree that Bioware killed RPG's. You could always count on Troika and Obsidian to do something with the genre when other just wanted "Click button, awesome happens" gameplay.
  11. Because then Mages would be really useless for one...I like that it limits resting, I would like it to limit also the ammount of "Grappling hooks", "pry bars" and stuff you encounter in dungeons though, it makes "being prepared" to dungeon crawling more important, but so far the system is OK as it is.
  12. I think they've been shipped together right?...I kinda dread the day since Customs are going to rape me so hard...but I'm guessing that in about three weeks, if they shipped on release, it should be here...
  13. Why? We already know who they are (Golden background in their names) so we can avoid them, besides you get to kill them in some quests, which totally makes up for it. (And they usually have really nice lewt)
  14. Don't worry, they are harder to make useful than in other fantasy games, but once they got stuff like "Confusion" they become beasts of horde control. Fireball is dissapointing though...
  15. Yep, digging it so far. Fits amazingly with the atmosphere, and contributes greatly to this. It's one of the few games I don't play with "Sonic Prophecy" in the background...
  16. It ain't so "game breaker", just do not equip stuff by double clicking. And be carefull around Adra Stones because they hug your characters so hard only reloading you'll be able to free them from their cold embrace...
  17. Do not eat them, they are poisoned and infected with Biomydia. Is like Chlamydia just uglier.
  18. Paladin is nice, but Cipher to me seems the most easy to use. I really want to play a chanter but thus far I suck at it...will try if I decide to ever downgrade myself to play "normal"
  19. It's nice, I loved the character creation, the backgrounds part, Gods and countries give me a lot of ammo to create my own personal stories with my characters, it reminds me a lot of NWN2 in this regard. The problem I have is that...it is taking forever to reach the Adventurer's Hall and get to create the rest of the party, although I heard that it is a decision to fit with the encounter balance...it just feels like I'm dragging a bunch of guys until I can get to my real party though but it's fine. I'll just take it as an extended tutorial I guess... Godlikes are, well, Godlike...Paladin Moon ones seemed to me to make most encounters (except the bear in the cave at the start) rather easy so far, I haven't tried others yet, but a friend said that Death Godlikes are also quite beastly... The exploration is what I've been loving so far, been wandering around the woods and having a bear ripping my face apart once, then reload try again and getting my throat coming out my ass made me chuckle actually, it's been just so long since last I felt this "ok, I'll save it for later, I ain't fleeing, just uhm...regrouping, outside of your reach" and it was nice to see this again. The game is gorgeous, music is amazing and I like the atmosphere you get right when you get into the first town. Superb.
  20. So...those are the portrait sizes? Nice, will get to work whenever I get some free time.
  21. Oh, no, thank YOU handsome! I've not been following it as much as I should have but I really like what I've seen. I have been waiting for a game where I can create my Elven version of Sharpe's Rifles for ages now and it is possible only thanks to you.
  22. I'm glad Paradox and you are together in this. I've been a fan of Paradox since EU2 and I like the way they handle themselves at least in the East Side of the Atlantic.
  23. Damn is gonna be sooner than expected...I've been slacking and haven't finished Stick of Truth yet!
  24. If I pledged for the Physichal and a Digital, will I get both keys the same day?
