Wand of Enervation resets dice
Longshot11 replied to Eldicor's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Hm. I lost the dice, but I was able to drag the discarded cards back into my hand (it automatically knocked back in my hand the revealed card) and then added the dice anew. Are you saying that if I press Cancel while the dice are gone - I won't get the discarded cards back in my hand and be able o play them again and make the dice appear anew? -

Over at Paizo, they reported some pretty wild numbers in WotR , but as you say - it doesn't really count when you can throw buckets of d20's. My best result in physical game was in RotR (maybe somewhere in AD4 or 5) - 161. My second best result ... also 161 ! I couldn't believe my eyes when I added all the dice. I mean, what are the chances of that? -
She's got it...

Yeah. Sadly, Black Arrow Longbow dropped from a chest in my solo Lem game (Str d4). Because, of course that's how it's going to happen.... -
Wand of Enervation resets dice

What exactly is this 'cancellation' bug and why is it so bad with the Wand? -

Hmm, the only thing I can think of - the fix in patch 103 wasn't retroactive. Did you complete any of these scenarios on Legendary *before* the patch? Did you do it it any *other* party than the one on the screen? If so - you might have activated the bug. Basically, try to replay all scenarios on Legendary with the party that first completed any of the Adventure 1 scenarios on Legendary. -
Yes, what I was saying is - currently the Cloud *does* break the "one card per type* limit, but by doing so it actually plays closer to its original intent, and as such I'm eager to disregard the 'bug'. If it was up to me, I wouldn't change the functionality, but I'd add a "you can play this spell even if you played another spell" to the wording.

In the Gallery, the scenario states that the Reward is a Skill feat, while the correct rewards is a Power Feat. This possibly is also connected to the Quest Mode issue where Level 30 says it should grant Skill but gives Power feat instead. So, good news is - functions as intended, but the text is wrong.

I believe this currently only applies to Harsk, who can gain Divine skill post-role, but in the next sets it's a rather regular occurence (and generally one of the better power upgrades). It seems to me it would be much more clean and intuitive, if the gained Skill is placed on the Skills screen (as it's a regular skill for all intents and purposes, as opposed to powers like "When you play a Finesse weapon, you gain the skill Melee: Dexterity +2")

Well, I just deleted one 'experienced' character that was never used and suddenly the portraits of my experienced heroes in the Build Party screen got all wonky - like up to 9 of them missing at a time. If I press Story - I seem to have all of my Party profiles intact, and I seem o be able to start a game with each one. However, when I select a Party and on the scenario selection screen eneter the Build Party screen - I always have different characters missing at the top. Damn weird that is. EDIT: If I'm reading your post correctly - you never deleted a hero in the first place, so apparently that doesn't have a bearing on the issue?

Orik Shield
Longshot11 replied to Dezea's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Hold on a sec, this was supposed to be fixed with 1.0.3. OP, are you sure you completed all the AD1 scenarios on Legendary? EDIT: Also, looking at the skull icon shouldn't be necessary anymore. I think they fixed the scenario completion indicators (on the scenario selection screen), so you can just look at the checkmarks - if all scenarios have all 3 checkmarks (i.e. 'all difficulties completed') - that should unlock the shield, or otherwise, the unlocking bug persists. -
Spread your people so you can temp close and minimize blessing loss from Mammy Graul's firs encounter (where she's always undefeated). Better yet, make sure all chars have some means to Evade (you should probably be doing that regardless of scenario) and just lock Mammy into her lcation when you encounter her. Then you can just close two locations (i.e. you only kill 2 Henchmen that raise Mammy's diffiulty) and spread you heroes back to cover all bases. While you dedicated boss-killer is grinding Mammy's location to find her, you make sure to optimize the other heroes' hands for max support (blessings, ranged weapons, support spells). And yeah, don't throw it all in on her first encounter - I forgot this a couple of times and it cost me the scenario.

Ok, I have a question
Longshot11 replied to Kgk4569's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)
I don't think it 'means' anything, just seems to be one of dozens minor UI artifacts. I believe it appears when one of my cards has been eligible for the 'blue glow' during the scenario, and afterwards it just doesn't clear for some reason. Ex: I close Fort Rannick and it's power kicks in; I have Father Zantus in my discard which now glows blue to indicate that can chose him to shuffle into my deck; at Deck Rebuild (and I think sometimes even during the scenario itself) Father Z will continue to glow blue for no reason. -
wand of enervation + animal trick
Longshot11 replied to nsr's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Wow, hahah. That's one awesome bug right there. 'Bout time we caught some break with those EDIT: Though, for the record, I don't believe you're able to have a +5 to Animal Trick at this point? -
Luckstone vs 2-combat Villain
Longshot11 replied to Maelwys's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
1) I'm not sure about how this should work. On the one hand - you're right about it breaking the "one card per type per check" limit. On the other - maybe the second Luckstone ability is treated as "triggered" , so it's always allowed when the trigger condition occurs (even then, in the card game, I would probably rule it as illegal play, as it says "may" , i.e. you're given a choice to *play* the card, you're not just following a triggered instruction) 2) This seems completely in line with this bug, and my working theory on it: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/87310-barl-gimmeabreakbones-beating-his-fortitude-check-defeats-him-outright/ 3) This would be a great idea. Not in as much as would benefit from it as player, but it would seem we do a great deal of QA testing on the game (I'm not knocking Obsidian's own QAs, I realize the complexity and volume of the project), and indeed it would be easier for us to report correctly what and when went wrong, which in turn would make it easier to pin down and fix the issue. -
Black Fang Bug since New Patch
Longshot11 replied to Lenecallad's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Hmm, this does sound somewhat similar to Seelah's Inspired Grace bug... -
As a note on Mending, in case the devs browse here: the whole "Exchange 1 card from your hand with 1discarded card " tooltip seems a little confusing. Ttiphis is a two-part process, and it would seem more intuitive to have 2 separate tooltips: "Deiscard 1", which then becomes "Draw 1 from discard pile". This would also make it easier to track if the effect bugs out by not registering your discarded card as such, or by not allowing you to draw to appropriate replacement card.
