  1. Those are just glitches - I've had a few card images appear displaced sometimes, but the next time I see that card, all is well. Whatever is causing it, I could bet it's not worth the dev load to track down and fix, for all the impact it has on the game. Abadar knows, there's plenty more urgent fixes that need doing (like making 3-3 actually detect your wins)...
  2. The original wording went something like "When a character encounters a bane, display this card..." - so it wasn't 'played on a check' and you could stack it with your own combat spell check. In fact, you can see the original post of Obsidian here: http://paizo.com/paizo/blog/v5748dyo5li9h&page=3?Whats-New-With-Obsidians-Adventure-Card-Game A get why they couldn't fit the Clouds in an exclusive 'phase' of their own, this is all good and well. But the way the Incendiary Cloud works now seems perfect - you can just stack it with your combat spell, which was the original intent. Basically, it seem all Obsidian has to do to achieve the original functionality is to make the Clouds not count towards the 'one spell per check' limit.
  3. Yeah, I actually reported it as a bug a while ago, I couldn't event allow that this was the desired behaviour. You're probably doing what I did - reusing the same Party 'save', only with different party make up. Currently, you need to start a different Party save with your other characters to experience the dialogues. Ironically, the 'location' dialogues (Sawmill, Habe Sanatorium, etc..) are unaffected by this and you need to skip them every time, even if they're mostly the same for any character.
  4. I think I got it now - that poster was looking at the AD# of the cards, but he was, in fact, only seeing Basic cards - some of which have different AD# than 0- that's also why he reported seeing AD2 cards. And yeah, this is a major thing to screw up and really sucks the life out of character advancement (I still got a couple of Acid Arrows on my casters, and the lack of "spell' locations doesn't help any)
  5. This is a pretty good deck. In my opnion: Lem's a pretty good support character. He does suck a bit at combat though. Rather than trying to turn him into a combat spellcaster - go heavy on Dexterity (at least the first 2 skill feats) and get him the best crossbow you have. Xbows don't require proficiency, so don't waste your Power feat on that. You'll be pressed (by end of AD3) into taking the Armor Proficiency. It's another matter if you'll decide to take an Armor card feat as well. If you think you'll do - get it at the end of AD2 and get the Loot armor (Snakeskin Tunic) - it adds +1 to Detexterity, which is what you'll use for combat. If you decide against Armor card feat - you can at least 'borrow' armors from you warriors without worrying you'll have to banish them (Light Armors only!) Don't get a second weapon feat! Until late game, Deathbane +1 is the best weapon you can get and you want to make sure you always start with it - getting a second weapon will dilute that chance to 50/50. (You guessed correctly: "favorite type" guarantees you start with a card of that type. There are no drawbacks, and there is no reason why you would ever chose something other than a weapon) I run with 1 Cure and never recharge it. If you recharge it - it goes on the bottom of you're deck. If you don't - any spell you get (from your deck or from location) is an emergency cure waiting to happen (you just swap it for the Cure in your discard at start of turn). This is one of the strongest abilities in the whole game. For card feats: with the exception of the above argument for Armor, it all depends on you party size and composition. Allies, Items, Spells or Blessings are all good choices, but if you run a party of 6 - you'll probably need all the extra explores granted by Allies and Blessings Good luck.
  6. I thought when a card is assigned its Rarity, the code automatically assigns the correct border frame. It's possible however, that if the border is set manually by a programmer - they set the Icy Hammer as Rare, but failed to assign it the proper border.
  7. I successfully healed others with HP, so the issue might be with some particular combo, not the card itself.
  8. As long as they let us select them during Deck Rebuild post-AD3, I can live without the letter (but they *should* be coded as Deck 0 cards essentially).
  9. This sounds like the Collapsed Ceiling scenario - have you tried dragging and releasing the Boa in the right part of the Screen?
  10. Actually, by the *real* card game rules, this seems exactly right. (although, timing-wise, the Cloud should be played when you encounter the monster). I remember they said they changed the Cloud cards due to some technical limitations. Seeing as the Cloud now seems to work just fine - I hope they bring in line all the other Cloud spells (currently, only the Toxic Cloud, which I haven't been able to test)
  11. I experienced the very same bug. I also got the 'gold' outline, but when I checked my Gallery - I had received a Rare card. Way to put down my excitement, guys...
  12. People reported that problem. It would seem rebuilding works as intended with the other card types, except Blessing. EDIT: Ninja'd by Brainwave... and it would seem now there're contradictory reports of if this works at all as intended... EDIT 2: Here's the report that Spell selection worked correctly: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/87177-bug-rebuilding-deck-between-scenarios/
  13. This is a bug. Failing to acquire the item should've still granted you the Temp CLose as you DID defeat the Goblin Raider.
  14. Well, the scenario is strongly luck-based, if anything. The best 'tactic' you can employ is - start at the locations with the most allies and explore them quickly. Once you've acquired all the allies in a location - just leave it be and move to another one. Oh, and hope the Magga 'eats' from empty locations at least a few times.
  15. I can't speak for you case, but I did encounter the Goblin with Seoni. When I attempted to use her Arcane Blast , the game correctly prompted the Wisdom check, and then allowed me to cast my spell.
  16. This is not a bug with Myriana - this is the good ol' standard "Lini's Beast Form being funny again" bug. You may consider marking the thread as solved so we don't add more confusion to the list of present bugs.
  17. I second that. Don't know if it's the same or different bug - I woke up, the timer was 21hours and change (which was correct) - but to see the timer, I should've collected my Gold first. Which I obviously didn't.
  18. Well, that's a bit ... unethical. I figure the whole point of the Daily Gold (which I purchased) is to get more chest so you can collect the Treasure cards. And now it turns out that while my subscription is expiring day by day, I literally can't get anything for my Gold. You bet we should get clarification which cards are available and which - not, instead of wasting my money for literally nothing.
  19. Hey , how do you get your deck to display like that in the character selection screen?
  20. Well, any speculations? When did you get the "unlock' message? Did you do anything unusual that game?...
  21. I *almost* always discharge nearly entire hands from every character once I've nailed down the villain, except for the character that will fight said villain, for the chance to load up on any ally-assisting cards before the final fight (blessings, ranged weaps, etc). Yeah, I always like to imagine this process taking place as an 80's action-movie montage, with an inspiring electro-synth theme on the background.
  22. Uh, bad news, there. You never remove Basic blessings from the box. Why not ?!?
  23. Wait a sec...So it appears I completely misunderstood. I thought that, for example, in 3-1 they'll cull random 5% of all Basics, then in 3-2 another 5%, and so on... While it turns out, they'll cull out different cards every scenario, so we can't even talk about 'removal from game' in that sense. Well, on the bright side, this means those Cures should be available - and not only within scenario decks, but in fact, with this system, there's no reason at all why there would be 'removed' cards during Deck Rebuild. They can just give you *all* the Basics - and it's obvious you won't pick the bad ones (which you would've normally RFG in the card game), while you can freely select from the good one (which you wouldn't RFG in the card game). So, that's good in my book. On the flip side, depending on the %'s of removed cards, it could mean in AD6 I might encounters Goblins, even if I already killed twice very existing Goblin ever back in AD5. So , that would be a touch anti-climactic. I get why Obsidian are doing this, which doesn't mean I have to like it. I'm highly unlikely to ever play multiplayer, so if I find my game is crippled for it - yeah, I'm not a happy camper. On the other hand, if I'm correct in my assumption that you'll get all Basics at deck rebuild, regardless of in-scenario culling - this actually sounds good enough, and maybe even better than the card game (if the culled % advances faster than I could banish Basics in the card game). Oh, and my happiness level will be severely influenced by the fact, if after I've defeated 2 Sirens post 5-1 (celebratory cause for me in the card game) , I continue still to encounter those b**ches way more than I should. Bottom line, I'm grumpy about this but I'll reserve my right to moan depending on the perceived impact Obsidian's new-fangled system has on my games. PS: Your thoughts on we at least being spared the 'acquire/banish Basics' dilemma are spot on.
  24. Yeah, removing the decision what boons and when should be removed from the game sounds like a major gaffe to me. If they do, though, I can only assume it's going to be somewhat curated, instead of a blanket "remove 20% Basic boons for each scenario in AD3" - otherwise, by some weird chance, there'can be no more Blessings of the Gods left, and so, not enough blessings period. And if they do curate it - then maybe some specific cards can be exclude from the removal clause - like Cure, Strength, Agility, Sage or Troubadour which remain awesome all the way to AD6.
