End of Adventure Rewards
Longshot11 replied to Volk13's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)
Well, you can't get the allies for the same reason you can't get a second Skill feat if you finish the same scenarios twice, so there's nothing to fix really. And yeah, all the jumping through hoops you described for getting 2 copies of a Loot - that's exactly the reason I don't understand why they decided to go with the current "1 instance of Loot per Party profile" approach. It's beyond stupid and inconsistent, and serves no purpose at all. -
Gold Timer still broken in 1.0.3
Longshot11 replied to fallond's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Did you try force-closing the app (not "Do you want to quit"-minimizing it) and restarting? -
OR, since the name of Meri starts to come up too often - maybe the issue is with her. That 'discarded' Guidance, did you see it in your Discard pile, or you only noticed it on Deck Rebuild? I'm asking, 'cause the other day my own Meri cast a Swipe - and I even got the 'banish' animation and all - but then I looked into my Deck (not my Discard!) - and the Swipe was there, as if I recharged it automatically!?

End of Adventure Rewards
Longshot11 replied to Volk13's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)
You only get them once per Party save profile, for some reason. It doesn't make much sense in the context of every other reward being awarded depending on weather you completed the scenario with a specific character, rather than on save profile basis. So, if you want to use two Impaler of Thorns loot weapons with different characters - you'll have to create separate Party profiles for them. -
There is different FAQ that deals with cards being 'set aside' until their ultimate action is decided - such as spells, which are by default 'discarded', but can also be 'recharged' or 'banished' depending on player Skill and check success - so, yes, a 'limbo' of a sort does exist. When you played your "Guidance' against the villain - the card left your hand and was moved over your discard. At this time, it was not in your hand and it was not in your discard pile and it was not banished - this is your 'limbo', where Guidance would remain until you dealt with the villain (at which point it should've been banished, as this action was still a part of the Villain encounter). Note that there's a distinct difference with 'displayed' spells - they specifically remain displayed until the end of turn -as written on the card itself- and only then it is determined if they're Banished/Discarded/Recharged. Since you never get to that point when you defeat the villain - they never get banished. Yes, it is against the 'spirit' of the "Scroll use" idea, and if you played the card game you could house-rule the card is banished either way; but the current implementation in the app observes the 'letter of the rules' and as such functions as intended.

Story Mode not awarding Gold
Longshot11 replied to teddylockhart's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Unfortunately, Normal and Heroic difficulties of every scenario only award Gold the first time they're completed. Only Legendary difficulty will grant you Gold each time you complete a scenario. -
Your case seems to be a fluke. in my experience. Spells/items played *for effect on a single check* usually ask me for recharge before ending the scenario (I'm not saying, however, that the "banish for lack of Arcane/Divine skill" logic doesn't operate differently and maybe the "banish" fails to trigger where the *recharge* doesn't. On the other hand, while when you defeat the villain you *resolve your encounter* and you *close the location* (with all powers and effects following from that), you DO NOT *end your turn*. Therefore, any spells and items displayed for *effect until the end of turn* correctly (at least by current rules as written) DO NOT banish, even if you hero lacks the appropriate skill (in Meri's case, two examples would be displaying an Agility spell or Flask of Shock item - if you always preserve those cards solely for your ultimate encounter with the villain - you should be able to preserve them and carry them from one scenario into the next)

End of Adventure Rewards
Longshot11 replied to Volk13's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)
Yes, of course, why wouldn't you be able to? -
Yes, that's also in the physical game and in the Rulebook (can't quote the exact text). Also, I think the way you played it makes much more sense than the 'official' version, so if you're comfortable with home rules - stick with it. ("Yeah, sure, I'm throwing away a backpack full of epic-level artifacts, but for the life of me I can't find a decent set of Thieves Tools!" ... Riiiigth.)

Update 1.0.3.1 Patch Notes!
Longshot11 replied to Mikey Dowling's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Announcements & News
Let's hope this means "can't be won by forfeiting UNLESS you have obtained at least half of the obtainable/eatable allies in the scenario". Also, I didn't see it mentioned in the patch notes the much bigger issue with HCtF - that it doesn't unlock your progress if Magga eats the last card of the scenarion. So let's also hope this is just an oversight in the patch notes. -
Alpha-Strike Screen shots
Longshot11 replied to da_mayor's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)
Over at Paizo, they reported some pretty wild numbers in WotR , but as you say - it doesn't really count when you can throw buckets of d20's. My best result in physical game was in RotR (maybe somewhere in AD4 or 5) - 161. My second best result ... also 161 ! I couldn't believe my eyes when I added all the dice. I mean, what are the chances of that? How many players? Our best (so far) was somewhere around 60 with 4 players in AD 1. 6 players, with Amiri as our dedicated boss-slayer. Everyone threw 2-dice combat blessings, and there was also upgraded Bereserker and +3 discarded weapon involved. So, I had at least 13d12 + d10 + 10 before getting bogged down in details like the weapon dice, Val and/or Lem presence, one or two Strength spells, etc.. -
Most hated bane
Longshot11 replied to chainsawash's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)
I'd rather hope the bug is that summoned henchmen activate that bull**it power at all... -
The spell Swipe has both Arcane and Divine traits, and since it's the card you play to determine your skill for the check - it also adds its own traits to the check (in a similar way, a Bow would make the check Ranged, even if you play it with Merisiel who doesn't have the Ranged skill). So, in the end, when you play Swipe with Seoni to fight, the check is: Combat, Magic, Attack, Arcane, Divine ,Charisma.

Role/Power Levelup bug
Longshot11 replied to Maelwys's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I , for one, CANNOT see how this is your fault. It was the sensible assumption to made and the case you're describing is absurd. You can still take a lesson from it - never *assume* anything interface-related in Pathfinder Adventures. I always try to go about the functions in the most 'literal' way possible and keep to a minimum the UI stressing, avoiding all weird combinations and action orders, if possible. I love the game, but it has a list of issues as long as my arm (like, literally, I'm keeping track of those) . -
Wand of Enervation resets dice
Longshot11 replied to Eldicor's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
If I were programming it, I'd do just that , instead of bothering the voodoo doll. If the Wand was reducing the "difficulty to defeat a monster" - it might be important as many evasion effects care about the difficulty to defeat. As it is, it reduces "difficulty of combat check" and I, frankly, the implications are minimal - it would matter for cards like Waterfront, Warlord, Ambush, Scythe etc.that care about the number of dice rolled on a check - less than 10 in total, I believe. The purist in me would prefer to have the Wand implemented as intended, but as you say - it seems it's just not worth the programming overhead and stability issues. -
Luckstone vs 2-combat Villain
Longshot11 replied to Maelwys's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
3/ Yeah, exactly. And I've done 5 years of software QA in the past, and have no problem helping out with this kind of thing now... I hear you. I also did a year as a QA before moving to game design, and I agree that I've passed on reporting some bugs, because the lack of details I can provide is - wait for it...- bugging me. -
Orik Shield
Longshot11 replied to Dezea's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I'm out of ideas. You can try PM one of the devs, but it may take a while, so in the meantime - I'd recommend you try replaying the scenarios on Legendary, maybe one of them just didn't register.
