  1. Just an idea, but since they are in good relationship with inXile, and both companies are using the same Obsidian tools, how about Wasteland spin-off, with more fallouty mechanics with Tim Cain as Project Director and Chris Avellone as Creative lead. Wasteland: New Vegas

I would love some SciFi rpg, with upgraded PoE's stronghold mechanics for spaceship, which could be used as a transport al'a kotor, with more open world approach taken from fallout 1-2 , tactical turn based combat (again Fallouts but also Jagged Alliance) and placed on beautiful prerendered backgrounds of Pillars engine. Maybe they could fit somehow Avellone's Star Wars pitch?
  3. Well, actually it was the first thing that came to my mind, seeing how many different companies are doing low budget WH40K games for mobile and PC, I wonder however if they would be able to afford such license as Firefly.
  4. I believe we don't have any details about it, but let's speculate a bit. I think this time they will try SciFi or Space Opera setting, I also believe that they will use the Pillars engine, as it will reduce time and money needed for the project. Do you think it is possible for them to license some property or they will try once again to create their own?

  8. I played DMoMM for the first time about a month ago, and was quite suprised how good the game is. I wonder how good it is in multiplayer, anyone played it this way?

    The should release the damn teaser trailer already, so the wait till the february 11th will be much sweeter. And as far as I remember they did it this way with Fallout 3, first Trailer, and in about a month the details about the game.

  18. So if Bethesda will finally kill the brainless Interplay zombie (shoot Herve in the head!) Do you think that OBSIDIAN would be able to change it's name to Black Isle? It's still much more recognizable brand than Obsidian. It would also be nice to see new products with Black Isle logo.
  19. I didn't played english version, But in Polish the dialogs were fantastic. But as far as I know, it is one of the reasons that CDProjekt is looking for a new Publisher, because they weren't satisfied how Atari handled the translation. It wasn't so much the voice actors that I didn't like (well maybe a bit), but more the text and dialogs that I felt were flat. Did CD Project made only the Polish version internally? In that case, I'd believe you then. Perhaps Atari screwed it up. I only heard that this is the reason why they have abandoned Atari. Don't know the details. Either way, they should hire professional english writer to improve the translation, I hope this will be the case for the sequel. By the way CDProjekt just confirmed that the game is no longer based on aurora. It's their own engine now, it's name will be revealed along with the official anouncement. We should expect this to happen soon though.

  21. Alchemy was pretty sweet, espesially when you played on hard: some enemies were impossible to kill without the potions or oils. Also the game is too easy even for today's standards, the combat gives you no challenge at all, I hope they will fix it in the second game. Because even though the hard level of difficulty gives more satisfaction, it's still too easy.

  23. I believe the answer has to do with a window maker, but I could be wrong. Besides Eric Fenstermaker I think it's pretty safe to assume that Bill Gates is also quite good Window Maker Is he a product of FEV then? But he is very far from the perfection of a crate... Arghh! so many questions!
