My fellow obsidianites. We are gathered here today to honour and pay tribute to the life of Justin Bell, and to express our love and admiration for him.

Avellone's been on a drunken codex spam for a very long time now. It's amusing sometimes, informative sometimes, and petty sometimes. Pick your poison. Really sad if Justin Bell left. But good for him if he gets to follow his ambition, and unsurprising that he got swopped up. The man got a good portfolio for a young composer, that has to open doors.

That's 2 cents very well spent. Expectation is a prison, as everybody should know by the time they reach the age of about 20. That's a rather bleak outlook.. Bad experiences? I find high expectations are great. Especially if they're exceeded, which luckily happens often. Not with games thou, but then again, if a game sucks, it's just a game.

Hey guys, I'm having some spare free time the next week, and I thought about going to start my run. I probably only have time for one run, so I want to have the full experience. Therefore I want to hear you guys opinions on if I can play for like 15-20 hours of without having new stuff added for that part of the game in the last expansion. I know it's open world, after a few hours, but there is some early game areas near the first island if I recall from my experiments at release. Do you guys think I can go do that stuff now or should I wait for the last expansion to not miss anything?

At this point I hope they'll leave well enough alone. Another DnD game, that borrows Baldurs Gates renown for publicity? Sure. I'd buy and try that. But it seems so unlikely that a continuation would do anything good. As much as I loved the adventures I had with Minsc and Boo when I was a kid, I'd much rather play a new one now.

Hey Jackjonez. Buy it regardless of playing. Show some love and support a small developer who cares about making RPGs in 2018. ^_^ I can't recommend it yet, since I have had almost no time to play since may, because of a new job with alot of new responsibilities and other life stuff. But I'll take some vacation days and play it when all expansions are out and it's all patched up. If you have limited time, I'd suggest you wait for that aswell, and maybe not play games twice. ;D

Yes, I can agree with that. A "physical copy" always implies a disc to me, whereas to someone else it might mean as well an "activation key". It doesn't really matter what it means to you. Take a broader perspective, and maybe cut down on the paranoia. Stop feeling so entitled and self-important. And maybe ease up on slinging around accusations about fraud and scams. The baseline is simple enough, and you come into the forum and throw **** around, when you haven't even contacted the official support? Come on...

I don't see a need for more options, but if Obsidian want to expand I'd much for rather see them add some prestige classes. There is rich opportunities for that, with so many races/class/class combos to choose from. Even backstory could be relevant. I'd totally want an Aumaua cannoner which could require race/classes/sub classes/background/build and could add some fun uniqueness with a unique shoulder cannon or smth.

First of all. Nobody has complained about getting an empty box. Everybody got a working game key. You payed for a game, which you got. The medium wasn't right for you, and I understand that, as I wrote above, I think that sucks. But it's not stealing, or ripping off people. To say so is a big stretch. Getting a medium that you specifically can't use, is not the same as getting nothing. Personally I don't think it's an issue that warrants public explanation or even less an apology. It was publicly available information, thou it should have been stressed alot more. But it's sad to hear, that Obsidian isn't responding to messages sent to their support. They should obviously be doing that.

I think going deep instead of wide is a really good thing. Going wide is how you get Baldurs Gate I companions. And nobody wants that. The problem here is, that I don't feel like the companions is that much deeper in PoE II than PoE. I really like them, but they don't feel so deep, it compensates for the reduced number. I would like a few new ones to be honest, but I guess it can't be helped. Writing companions is hella expensive, so I understand why Obsidian isn't going overboard with it.
