  1. Are you serious? "Some Girls" and "Sticky Fingers" 75% of their songs received serious radio play. Those are my two favorite albums, but I'm sure I could name a few more if I look through them. I don't want to sound like a fanboy, but most groups don't get radioplay from an entire album. The Beatles, Led Zep, The Doors, Metallica...those bands have albums that are simply top notch all the way through.
  2. I'm serious about Amped 3. I don't even like snowboarding games, but it's very enjoyable. The sled crashing event is gold.

Well, I hope the Sharks sweep Vancouver for you Oiler fans, because you really need it. This is going to be down to the last game.
  4. I think the Stones have earned the right to tour endlessly and charge exorbinant (sp?) ticket prices. They released some of the best albums EVER. Look, even if you don't like a specific music style, you should still be able to give props where they are deserved. I don't like Madonna or Mariah Carey's music personally, but I can still recognize that they deserves credit for what they've done.
  5. Henry might just be messing with Locke...
  6. Amen. Whiniest group ever.
  7. Get what, that it's a bait article? It still lends itself to discussion. Uh...why did you post it if you don't expect people to discuss the list?
  8. I agree with a few of his choices, but yeah, he's too focused on lyrics. I listen to White Stripes because Jack White plays an awesome guitar. I don't care what he's saying. I'm also completely against having Beck on there. One, Beck doesn't get a ton of exposure, so I don't get how he's over-rated. Also, it's not his lyrics, but the combination of beats and the odd sound of his voice that are intriguing. And what's with Rage Against the Machine being there? Seriously, this list is lame. James Blunt hasn't even been around long enough to be over-rated...give him a couple albums at least. Here is a real over-rated list: 5. Metallica (I like them, but seriously) 4. Limp Bizcuit 3. Gangsta Rappers in general 2. Ozzy Osbourne 1. Bon Jovi
  9. I sure wish these games weren't only on the PS2.
  10. I've been thinking about buying less CD's and more singles off the internet, but I'm not sure what's the best service. I don't have an Ipod, so I hesitate to use Itunes. I do have a PSP and, once I buy a better memory chip, I plan on using that for more music. Personally, I prefer to use Windows Media Player to play music on my computer. I'm also not looking for free music, I'm just looking for a decent value. I don't plan on collecting thousands of songs either, probably just a hundred or so of the ones I have trouble finding or I don't think are worth the cost of a CD. Any suggestions?
  11. I thought Martin was kinda interesting. Uh...he's the new king guy. It's true though, NPC character development is still a weakness for Bethesda.
  12. That's be an interesting trip. Hades: Hey Jesus, can you step into this time machine? Your followers are bugging the heck outta me. Jesus: Sure man...hey, you're a bit pale, want me to cure that? Hades: That'd be awesome...hey this is way better than a tanning booth! Jesus: Thanks, it's called heavenly tan. It doesn't even turn orange.

Ouch...although Modano tweaked his knee last night. I have a feeling teams will be zeroing in on that.
  14. Bleh, the Catholic church has a ton of this stuff under lock and key. Many religious folks don't seem to understand that there are numerous interpretations of the bible, and the new testament wasn't put together until 400 years after Jesus lived. There is only one real constant, and that is to have faith in a single creator. Everything else is human interpretations. It's a complicated religion.
  15. First off, you can save way more money by eating home cooked meals than you can eating fast food. Those 4-5 dollar meals add up quickly. It does save time but looking at how many people watch American Idol, I don't think lack of time is a real issue in the US. It's bad time management. People who say they need a quick lunch need to wake up ten minutes earlier and make something for themselves. Now on the health front... Seriously, you CAN cook just as unhealthily as McD's, but most people who spend the time making a home cooked meal also care enough to make it a bit healthy. It's not a matter of calories, its an entirely different mindset.

Yeah, Edmonton got robbed, but I still think Vancouver will be the one to miss the playoffs. Hopefully San Jose will make it easier on you Oilers by sweeping them in the two upcoming games. Although honestly, I feel bad for whoever faces Detroit in the first round. They look incredibly solid and, unlike in previous seasons, they haven't slowed down at the end. Anaheim and Colorado haven't wrapped up anything yet either. 5-9 is a crapshoot. I'm pretty sure LA is dead at this point.
  17. I actually hate McDonalds, or any fast food, in general. It's bad food, it leads to obesity, and it's way to prevalent in our society. I also think it's a good idea to preserve our rain forests, but I recognize that many of these Brazilian farmers are probably way below the poverty line and just doing what they can to survive. It's unlikely that they are rolling in the dough...only the corporations who buy from them are doing that.

Darryl Sutter only managed to get the Sharks past the first round, and then the team tanked the next season. He was a great coach though, and I blame Owen Nolan more than anyone else for that. Ther were a few casualties from that tanked season, including Sutter, Kiprusoff, Nolan, and the GM Lombardi. Under Ron Wilson they managed over 100 points for the first time in franchise history and went to game 7 of the conference finals. That was LAST season, or at least the last season played. It's odd that no one seems to give the Sharks much credit. I mean they didn't start the season out well, but even before that, the media seemed to give them little respect. Now the Thornton trade pretty much fixed San Jose's problems. They are still a bit shaky on D, but the young talent is there and will be even better next year. I'm also not too worried about Nabakov, he'll regain form eventually, and his backup has been near unbeatable in the last 25 games.

It IS the next season... Actually they lost Damphouse from that team, which is a major cog. Every good team needs a solid playmaker. I'd say they still have a very solid chance at competing for the cup but, like any team, they need a goalie to stay hot. Anyways, I'm feeling rather fanboyish in this thread, but I can't help it. I'm way psyched up about the playoffs. It's going to be an awesome year.
  20. Can anyone fill me in on the last couple minutes? My Tivo cut off with Hurley talking to Libby on the cliff. I take it he didn't jump, but I'd like closure.
  21. The Movies was enjoyable, and I'm one of the few that enjoyed all 10 hours of Fable. This is kinda "meh" news, though, as I don't see how this really affects Lionhead. They were already pretty closely tied to Microsoft.

Nabby in San Jose has won a couple rounds as well, although his job as starter looks pretty weak right now.

The Sharks are actually in a great spot. It looks bad because they are still hovering between 8 and 9, but they've got more games left than all the teams in reach. With seven games, they need to win 4 to really wrap it up. They also need to at least split the 2 with Vancouver. It's a pretty messy situation, but I'd rather be the Sharks than Vancouver right now. Vancouver needs to go undefeated to really keep themselves in it.

Phew, Sharks just technically passed Vancouver to move into 8th. 7 games to go...I don't know if my heart can take this.
