You can cure vampirism quickly by visiting a temple right away. If you let it fester, you have to do a long quest.

The only folks responsible for 9/11 are the folks who planned it and flew planes into buildings. Blaming politicians will not resolve anything. There are also quite a few people on the radar as security threats. People act like Osama Bin Laden was numero uno before 9/11. He is now, but you can't predict stuff like this. The blame game is a waste of time. Let's play the "enact change for the better" game.

I'm still playing NHL 07 every night. It's still very challenging, but I'm a bit frustrated at the lack of goals. I had an exciting 4-3 win in OT last night, but usually games are 2-1 affairs.

I'll keep watching it to see if it improves, but I think the 4400 was a lot more interesting off the bat. Some of the stories are painful, like the druggie guy. I like the Japanese guy.

Silicon Valley.

I'll always take Sturm in any pool, since I've got a soft spot for ex Sharks. But he's actually a pretty good pick up, as he'll be top line in Boston and as long as he's healthy, he's consistent. Comrie is about equal, I would think, but I haven't looked closely.

Oh man, we are having the same problems! You can't even lift a guys stick with getting a penalty. I'm hoping it will calm down a few games into the season, but my team was in the box pretty much the entire game last week. It wasn't like the other team was getting called, either. The penalties were 15-5.

Nolan played in an adult league during his rehab out in San Jose. He was playing defense, but he didn't dominate or anything. He had something like 8 points in 6 games.

Uh, my fantasy football team is 1-1. It's like a RPG/strategy game where real people get hurt.

Making games doesn't seem like any easy business to me, particularly the complex RPG's that Troika was tackling. The fact is, we are still playing and talking about games like Arcanum and Bloodlines, so they clearly did some good stuff.

They didn't fail as game developers. My guess is they had a bad business model and weren't meeting sales expectations. From what I remember, they didn't have a really good business team in place. They didn't get good publishing deals and they weren't realistic about the RPG market.

I'm enjoying it. It's a definite improvement over the sticky pucks of the previous games. It's far from perfect, there are some odd things that happen, but I've seen odd things happen in real games.

Are you using the skill stick? I didn't even know there was a spin-o-rama option with that, all my skill moves are done with the stick. On the 360, change player is the same as pass. Anyways, I've had less one-timers, but they are pretty rewarding when I've connected on them. I'm thinking about upping the difficulty to the max, as I've only lost one game and that went to a shootout. I'm 5-0-1. It's not that I've had easy games, it just seems like the other team can't score enough.

The cinematics in Fallout were pretty awesome.

The Flames did make some great changes, and Tanguay is a serious weapon. Still, I don't think they did enough to their offense. They seem to have one awesome line and then grinders.

I doubt he'd do The Hobbit after covering the whole trilogy. I'm a bit surprised to see the Peter Jackson criticisms. I can understand not liking the movie, but not if you're a fan of Tolkien. What movie did you expect? It was long, but so were the books, and it captured some pretty amazing scenes from the series. I thought it was an amazingly good book to movie translation. I definitely don't see how he could have improved on it, except maybe including Tom Bombadil.

I watched the second goal over and over again, trying to figure out how to replicate it. He gets the stick around the opposite side of his legs, instead of in between. It looks super hard.

Mark Bell is on my team, and the rosters all seem pretty current. He put a couple hits on. He's not facing prosecution in the game. I picked it up at Best Buy. I'm a bit surprised EB doesn't have it yet for you. It should be out today, I'd imagine.

Alright, first game report... I started a season with the Sharks, and spent a good hour tweaking lines. There is a farm system, and they had most of my Shark prospects, so I was happy with that. I set the difficulty to All-Star, which is a notch below the hardest (All-Pro?) I figured with the new skill stick system, I would have a bit of a learning curve. My first game was against the Blues, a good match up for my newbieness. A few minutes in, I managed to knock the puck into my own net. It was poor Matt Carle, but he'll redeem himself later. The controls were a bit difficult for a few minutes, mostly because I kept looking for a turbo button. But before the end of the first period, I was figuring out how to line folks up. My first goal was rather accidental. Thornton put a shot on, and Cheecho kinda shoved the rebound in. I didn't actually shoot it, but I was happy to score. The puck physics are pretty interesting. They aren't perfect, but they are way better than the sticky pucks we are so used to. Mark Smith blasted one home to put me up 2-1. I think the Blues goalie is just bad...I'm afraid of going up against a good one. St. Louis then tied it before the end of the first with a real goal, not one that I put in myself. It was a faceoff win, and then a blast from the point that my goalie didn't see. 2nd period was more defensive. I really got the hand of hitting. It's very rewarding to line a guy up and use the skill stick to shove him into the boards. Matt Carle scored on a powerplay blast from the point. I took my 3-2 lead late into the 3rd, and then Michalek sealed it with an open netter. It felt good to win my first game. I didn't dominate, but I felt good about it. The Blues took quite a few penalties, which helped me out. I'm definitely enjoying the new system. It is an entirely new way to play, and shooting the puck is a good deal more fluid. I still struggle on the deking aspect, but I imagine practice will help.

NHL 07, woohoo!

I just watched the first season of 4400, and I've really enjoyed it. I've got the 2nd season on order. I watched Rome religiously as well...I'm surprised it got cancelled, but the budget was probably pretty huge.

I'd say I'm 2, but that might be arrogance talking. Seriously though, I've had a few decent RP experiences in MMO's, but they are few and far between. I do enjoy the social interaction, though, and I've had some great friendships over the years in various MMO's. While the friendships are rarely permanent, as real life takes precedence, they are still looked upon fondly.

Mad Mike Milbury strikes again. It really is pretty comical, I wouldn't worry about 15 year contacts becoming a trend. Maybe there is some good escape clauses in it, though.

Hehe, I must have been pretty tired

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/732/732023p1.html It's looking like I'll be buying the EA hockey game this season. After playing with the stickhandling concept in the shootout demo, I've deceided it's a very good step in a new direction. NHL2k6 looks great, but it's not much different than the previous titles. Anyway, I plan on picking it up this week, and I'll keep y'all informed.
