Well, the current expansion has taken almost 2 and a half years, so it's unlikely we'll see another soon.

Guild Wars is barely a MMO though. It's really just a series of chat rooms with small instances you can join. That means it's much easier to manage. DDO is the same way, except they charge you money to play every month.

Well, I don't mind talking about the Bioware/Sega MMO... I think the setting will be fantasy, because every other frickin game that has had success has gone down that road. I would prefer a post-apocalyptic setting. Basically a Fallout MMO. No damn vehicles either...they should come up with some oil theory behind that.

Actually, they cancel their games if they suck. Ghost probably could have been thrown on the market a year ago, but Blizzard wasn't happy with the project. The same thing happened to Warcraft Adventures, they were far enough along in the development, but it wasn't outstanding enough. I don't dig RTS games and I don't like Diablo style clickfests, but Blizzard is the only game company I know that releases perfect games every time. Seriously, no one is really even close to their quality control. I trust them implicitely.

In my NHL07 season, Phoenix is going 22-3-0-6. Of course, EA can't seem to figure out that old guys like Roenick and Nolan aren't playing the same way they did a few years ago.

Datsyuk is awesome, but his supporting cast isn't good enough anymore. In fact, their goaltending is so bad, they'd be better off just skating 6.

Silent Storm did not have Starforce. Hammer and Sickle did. It's a moot point now anyways, as Starforce is easily removed.

I didn't think Fantastic 4 was too bad. It was much better than Daredevil. I'd say it was worth watching just because the Thing really does look awesome. In fact, the ordeal that Michael Chiklis went through to wear that outfit deserves an hour and a half of our time.

Games have been $50 for years, but the costs for game development and production have risen tremendously. Your statement is not economically viable.

Advertising is an important step for the gaming industry to take. TV, Radio, and magazines sustain themselves almost solely on advertising dollars. The gaming industry needs tools in order to show that people actually pay attention to such advertisements. If y'all want the quality of games to continue to improve without raising the costs to the consumer, y'all need to accept that advertising is the industry's best option.

Really? Then how do they get the numbers like "10 million people tuned into Lost" and such? Questionnaires seem like they would be terribly unreliable. I know that the Neilson ratings system actually puts a box in homes that keeps track of viewing, and you have to volunteer for that.

Although I wouldn't put it past EA to bundle spyware, the truth is they are just tracking statistics like how long players look at the advertisements. The whole "tailoring advertisements based on your internet cookies" thing was debunked rather quickly. How do TV stations and radio track what people are watching?

I just saw The Prestige, a fantastic movie with a top-notch cast. It was just an extremely good movie, I highly recommend it.

It's an impressive expansion, for sure. It's way above the EQ expansions in terms of value and appeal to casual gamers. The areas seem pretty gorgeous as well. I'd still like some sort of player housing eventually, but with the maps it would have to be an instanced housing arrangement, like FFXI.

I'm just confused why they chose to give this project to a rookie director, particularly if the budget really is ballooning towards 200 million. If Jackson was actually directing, instead of just producing, it might have a shot at being a decent flick.

During the Olympics, I was waking up at 3 AM to watch hockey. It was awesome, I basically spent all morining doing it. It was during a vacation week, so I figured it was destiny. I even bought a new couch for the event.

So the reason they are torturing Sawyer is probably because one of the Other's got shot. That Deadwood chick is either dead or messed up. The voice that was yelling during the torture scene was not Henry Gale, so it's probably the Deadwood chick's man. He'll be clearly pissed off.

Hmm, you could right click on any merc, and then ctrl-select all the portraits. I usually just drag a grid around all the mercs, but I guess if they are too far spread out, that doesn't work.
