Switzerland Threatens to Expel Immigrants
Yeah, that'll never happen.

Fable
Huh...I actually only remember about 10 quests total. I played it on the Xbox, and it's definitely been a few years, but I seriously don't remember it being a very repetitive game. It was over in about 20 hours, so I don't see how it can even reach that point. But hey, I'm an idiot with no taste, so I suppose you have to factor that into the fun equation.

So I subscribed to Fileplanet today
I've always enjoyed my Fileplanet subscription. It's ridiculously cheap, it's gotten me into quite a few beta's, the DL rates are superb, and I've downloaded a few free games like The Chronicles of Riddick with my founder's club points.

AGDC: Bioware on making MMOs
Why would I pay money for this? Because you will be able to pretend to be a woman and have hairy geeks smother you with attention?

Fable
Um, I'll state again that I only remember ever doing one escort quest, and I don't know why you would need to repeat any quests. In fact I don't even remember killing all that much, particularly compared to every other game on the market right now.

AGDC: Bioware on making MMOs
Actually, you are all wrong. It's a new universe called Rumormill. You go around collecting speculation points and get traits like Reading Too Much Into It and Baseless Opinions. It's going to be an awesome MMO.

Fable
Didn't we have this discussion a month ago? Fable is a game you either love or hate. They key is to not go in with huge expectations, it's a light game with some interesting gameplay options. I think Pixies is really making the best use of it, he creates his own storyline using imagination. It's not War and Peace, it's a trashy novel and I loved every moment of it.

Hey dudes.
Traditionally they support more government involvement. This runs the gamut of health care and welfare programs, as well as tighter business controls. Basically you will typically be paying higher taxes to support more government programs. Republicans are supposed to support more of a true capitalist model, while democrats lean more towards socialism. But honestly, neither party is very far left or right at the moment.

Halo 3 Gone Gold
I could have told you that before you played them.

Uh...is it even on the 360? Great game on the PC, though.

Underage Sex Legalized in Illinois
Uh, it's just a humor piece, I wouldn't take it too seriously. Seriously, no one really uses dial-up anymore. That's a myth, like Bigfoot or the female gamer.

AGDC: Bioware on making MMOs
An MMO can be successful with a few hundred thousand subscribers, even if it's released by a "Big Boy". That seemed to be more what he was talking about.

If you can become a woman for a week...
I'd spend at least an entire day at a gym in the women's locker room. I'd probably do so in LA, since there are a lot of hot women there.

WoW Armory
Anyone who levels to 70 and then complains about a game is lame. Seriously, no one forced you to play for hundreds of hours. http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.x...awn&n=Taran There's my guy. I levelled up to get to the Outlands, but lately I've been distracted by LotR Online. Someday I might return, but the Expansion doesn't look like my cup of tea. I'd love to see some new areas added for all levels.

Why even have reviews?
I tend to browse Amazon, then go to the company website. So where, out of those two, are you getting unbiased information? Hey, reviewers aren't perfect, but they put less spin on a product than a company website. Also, reviews aren't the only thing the gaming press does, they also put up previews and consolidate gaming news so you don't have to visit a dozen individual company websites. Amazon allows user reviews, which is great, but I don't see how those are more trustworthy than a gaming site. Heck, it could just be the game's developers posting about how wonderful their product is.

Why even have reviews?
But who sparks that interest? Advertising? Company websites? Word of mouth?

Why even have reviews?
I've never read a professional review that didn't spend time going into the detail on the way a game functions. That's not opinion, it's information, and it can be very helpful. Sure, there are some sources that spend too much time voicing their opnion, but I don't consider media, as a whole, worthless. You just have to pick and choose what you buy into.

Why even have reviews?
I can usually tell by reading a review, whether or not the reviewer and I are looking for a similiar gameplay experience. The scores also aren't the most important part of a review. Sure, a score lets me get a quick idea of a game. For example, I'm not a huge strategy fan, but if a game has a high score, I might read the review. If the gameplay elements appeal, then I might do more research or download a demo. For me, a review is just a good starting spot and also an easy way to stay up to date on the gaming industry, since I can't play everything.

NMA Fallout 3 preview and Q&A session
Hmm, Obsidian has created a Star Wars game and a FR game. Now they are working on Aliens. Do you feel the same way about them?

- Going to college BRB
Whoa, sorry if I'm not cool enough for you Laozi. So they lesson here is to attend frat parties, drink the free beer, and then act condescendingly towards the entire system. Sounds like a riot.- Going to college BRB
Wow, you seem really bitter about something. What exactly does "store-bought" mean? If you join a club (or a message board) how are the friends you make there any different than those in a fraternity? Nobody is forcing anyone to be friends in a fraternity, and we certainly didn't all get along and sing brotherly hymns together. It's just a group of guys attending the same university. It's a social circle. There are other ways to get socially involved in college, but the Greek system is the most well known. Look, I'm not some hurrah hurrah frat guy who chants brothers for life, but I'm also not going to just dismiss an entire aspect of college based on some stereotype. I always said I'd never marry a sorority chick. I based that on the stereotypical girls that came to our parties. But my wife and mother of my child is greek, and we met at a basement party at my fraternity.- Going to college BRB
Actually it was based on the college experience of one of the creators of MAD. I don't know, I wouldn't say it was too unrealistic. Hmm, our house was always a mess, there was a lot of parties, there was a Belushi type guy who never seemed to actually go to class, we had a dean who was always trying to shut us down...yep, Animal House. - Going to college BRB
