  1. That sounds pretty deep.
  2. It's like I played a different game. I don't even remember a fedex quest, and I'm not sure there were even enough quests to qualify as repetitive. I just remember impressing people with my giant bee head and getting a shiny axe from my wife after giving her a bit of black screen time.
  3. I hate shooters. I love Bioshock because the atmosphere and story.
  4. I'd hardly compare Fable to Diablo. One has you fighting wave after wave of attackers, and the other barely has any combat at all. Seriously, I'd call Fable more of an adventure game than anything else. I've also seen a lot worse dialogue out there.
  5. Wow, that figurine is way more impressive than I was expecting. I figured it might be 2 or 3 inches, but that thing could do some damage. Um, I'm refering to the Big Daddy. Err...
  6. I enjoyed Fable. It was a fun little RPG that didn't take itself too seriously. Unfortunately, it seems like a lot of people wanted more. Of course, I've never knocked a game for being too short, as I'm more likely to quit a game if it goes over 20 hours.
  7. I'm not sure on cost, I know they dipped a bit recently. There are only a few truly exclusive titles, but I'm always happy to see these games available on both the PC and 360. Dead Rising is the only one I can think of off the top of my head. Games like Gears of War and Mass Effect will likely make it to the PC eventually. If you have an HDTV, and your computer isn't top of the line, I say the 360 is a good investment.
  8. Yeah, we have another spoiler thread, and I'd rather play through without. I'm about 3 hours in, and it's awesome so far.
  9. I actually heard that one flying over Deadly's head. *whoosh*
  10. I, in my mind, believe that I have recieved just punishment for every law I have been caught breaking. Then again I very rarely have the desire or need to break any laws. Let the punishment fit the crime. For mainstreet's example, if your friend wished to press charges it would be a misdemeaner due to the value of the items stolen. The punishment may not require you to go to jail but may gain a fine. It's interesting you bring up the concept of pressing charges. Currently, the only time illegal immigration charges are leveled is when the immigrant has already been convicted of another crime. So if there are no district attorneys willing to prosecute an illegal alien simply for being present in the country, have they really committed a crime?
  11. IMO, I think that is one of the biggest motivators for religous belief. People dont want to believe its over when they die. We are such wonderful creatures that of course some part of us will exist for eternity! Id like to ask of the believers, do all living things on Earth have a soul or just humans? Interesting question, and one that will likely get all sorts of different responses, depending on faith and personal beliefs. My shrt answer would be yes. But my hamster doesn't really have a range of emotions, she doesn't seem to feel remorse. She's lacking the complexities of the human spirit. On the other hand, dogs and cats seem to have a bit more complexity in their souls. They can mourn and have ersonal attachments. Emotions are key to what I consider the soul to be. But really, this isn't religion, this is spiritualism. Yeah, you need to be spiritual be religious, but you don't need to be religious to be spiritual. I see each individual spirit as incredibly unique and fascinating. I don't believe it simply disappears when the body dies.
  12. Sand, that's exactly the reason he used the word crusade. It's like you missed the entire post and just read the last line.
  13. This is the first time I've really envied Bok.
  14. Yeah, I think it's fun to think about this stuff and try to put it into words. I guess if I didn't have these forums, I'd have to write my opinions in a journal or something. Dear Diary, Pixies is dreamy!
  15. Hey, these are all just opinions here. The answer to the question of whether God exists has always been personal, and I suppose it can never be fully answered until you die. Science is great. It explains all sorts of amazing stuff. But faith is great too, and since God can mean something different to every individual, it will always remain relevant. It seems silly to me to try and argue over which science or religion is the most logical or powerful. Everyone should form their own beliefs and not let others meddle in them, because it's a personal belief.
  16. There is no god. I really don't think he could have created the earth, or anything else for that matter... What? So you are saying there is no God, and then you are giving him a gender and saying he's not resonsible for the Earth. Do you understand why this makes no sense?
  17. "How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?!?"
  18. It's pretty easy to avoid the romances, just be like members of this forum.
  19. Sounds like a rental.
  20. Ugh, I thought this was a dead topic. We are on to immigration now, get with the program!
  21. You know, I was sitting through a leadership video today at work, and it was all about how everybody's goal should be to create an upwards spiral for all parties. Basically it was about not getting stuck in the philosophy of one winner and one loser, but finding alternatives that allow all parties to spiral upwards. This strikes me as the purpose of the law. We have laws to create a better society. It's not just about locking people up who break the law. That's why we have rehabilitation programs, probation, and many other measures. In that same vein, it strikes me as a lot more productive for everyone if we create a system where these immigrants don't need to break the law. Who is benefiting from this punishment? You personally? Because that's really ignoring what is best for all parties involved. I'm just saying Sand, your attitude doesn't only create a downward spiral for those illegal immigrants, it hinders the entire forward movement of both the US and Mexican societies. It's much more effective to lift each other up.
  22. The vast majority of Mexico and probably central America is already in poverty. That's really missing the entire point. Are you saying that, because they are already in bad shape, it's no big deal to make things even worse?
  23. Yeah, that's like hiring a magazine editor and having them work as a book editor! Insanity! Eh? George was a writer with Westwood and Turbine. He's now a writer with Obsidian. What exactly does your comment mean? The implication seemed to be that MMO writers are somehow tainted and shouldn't be allowed to work on single player RPG's, but perhaps I'm reading too much into it.
