  1. Ah, my bad, I must have misunderstood him then.
  2. To be fair, the movie does look good and will probably make half a billion dollars when all is said and done.
  3. Awesome GD. My wife has an uncle that teaches at one of the universities in Mexico, but I think it is near Rosarito.
  4. If you liked Silent Assassin, you really should try Blood Money. I too loved SA but BM is the best Hitman game to date. Looking forward for Absolution, it first seemed like some shooter but that E3 walkthrough made it pretty clear it's still the Hitman I like. I like the hits from Contracts the best, the level design from SA, but Blood Money feels like the most well rounded. Although the clown level was a bit too strange for my tastes. Blood Money is also the only one that looks great by today's standards. The others haven't aged all that well.
  5. I like that they let me just unlock them on Steam instead of downloading them, it is easier to keep track of all this stuff that way. I'm not rich so I went with $15, I figure that's fair.
  6. The beautiful thing about hockey is it is actually a low impact sport if you avoid the hitting aspect. Lidstrom uses position and stickwork in order to be a great defenseman, and because of that he has managed to have a long career. Speed and hitting are a young man's game, the best players learn to be effective without those. Of course Gordie Howe played a physical game, and he managed to play in his 50's, so there are also just exceptions.

  8. While the appointments are political, once a judge is in office there is really no political pull left to be had with them, meaning judges often ignore the agenda of the party that put them in office. You also don't get into the Supreme Court without a lot of experience and a lengthy interview process, so they are hardly lacking in merit.
  9. Cleary this was their goal.
  10. Yay! It's taking a long time, but so far these discriminatory acts and props are getting struck down in every court they reach. Which is exactly as it should be.
  11. I remember arguing in Jr. High over what was better Cyberpunk or Shadowrun. They were both cool though, so I'm happy to hear this.
  12. My WoW account was hacked, and Blizzard has never been able to actually fix it. I've petitioned a couple times and they always say "clean your computer, change passwords, blah blah." Then they unban my account, and a few hours later they ban it again. It is ridiculous, it is clearly a problem on their end, I've done all the steps to protect my account. Luckily I have no desire to play WoW again, but it concerns me when I play a game like Diablo 3.
  13. That's always a weird attitude to me. It's a business, their entire purpose is to turn a profit.
  14. That's a great poster.
  15. Good to hear from you Tarna, keep that awesome attitude up!
  16. Welcome to the forum, new person.
  17. I'd say the nature is pretty important when comparing Mexico to Syria. A large majority of the deaths in Mexico are people involved in the drug trade, a smaller part is law enforcement, and innocent civilians have not been targeted much at all. The opposite seems to be happening in Syria.
  18. I understand being wary of the online requirement, I lived out in the country for awhile where my connection was spotty at best. I went a week without one time and was unable to play my recently purchased copy of Starcraft 2. But at the end of the day this is a video game and I have a very small investment into it. You take a risk every time you purchase something. I can't really think of anything that I spend $60 on that I expect to last for 6 years. I also learn what products are best for me, for example after the Starcraft 2 debacle I avoided buying any online only games for awhile. As for 'owning' games versus 'renting' them, I don't really care. As I said, it is a small investment. Leasing a car is a much worse deal, and people still do that.
  19. What is really messed up is the need for a EULA in the first place. Using the legal system because you are unhappy with a video game is ridiculous.
  20. LA over NJ in 6. They will be the first team to win the Cup as an 8th seed, but the way they've dispatched other teams has simply been impressive.
  21. I only had one character die in ME3, and I'm pretty sure it was unavoidable. It was a great moment, so no worries from me.
  22. Were you playing Hardcore?
  23. Ok, current predictions are as follows: Hurlshot - 8-6 Kor - 8-6 Krook - 5-9 Volo - 4-10 A lot of previous folks didn't seem to make predictions in the last round. We all did a pretty decent job with that one, now for the tricky finals. I'll just choose the opposite of Kor to avoid the Thunderdome tiebreaker.
