  1. Yeah, not looking forward to playing swtor soon again after a couple of months. That's one of the big issues I have with SWTOR and its overload of abilities. It is hard to get back to it after a break.
  2. The ending was fine, I've seen way worse in television and movies. It wasn't great, but it sure as heck didn't ruin the other 100+ hours of entertainment I've had playing out the trilogy.
  3. Why would Wrex be vaporized or stuck on earth? Plus I was just happy the crew of the Normandy survived. They are on a pretty awesome looking planet, and even if the Normandy is busted, they are going to get rescued eventually. They've got a well deserved extended vacation. I thought they ending was a bit unclear, I took the middle path where you absorb your DNA or whatever. Were the relays destroyed, or just overloaded for a brief time? Even if they were destroyed, we still have faster than light travel. Wrex will get back to Tuchanka in a year or so, big deal.
  4. I've gotta say, there were a lot of characters from ME2 that I didn't connect with, but when I ran across them in ME3 I found myself thinking fondly about them. Thane is a good example, I never really dug him in ME2, but his short cameo in ME3 was fantastic. Overall I appreciated the care ME3 took to pay service to all the relationships I had built up in the first 2 games. I was given plenty of closure over the course of the game, so the ending itself wasn't really a problem for it. I mean I guess I could try and analyze it and get upset about it, but why would I do that over a video game? My story of Commander Shephard is over.
  5. I just finished the game. I thought the ending was fine, maybe not the best ever, but hardly worth getting up in arms over. What I really enjoyed was talking to all my old friends in London before the final push, and then heading into battle with my best buddy Garrus and my girl Ashley. Anyone else never really feel attached to Anderson?
  6. I also will probably give D3 a pass. Of course I said the same about Starcraft 2, and I still broke down and bought it a couple days after is came out.
  7. So what about when a player leaves via free agency? I agree with your loyalty sentiment, I don't like it when a team throws a player under the bus to drive value down. But with the Sharks I just see misguided attempts to improve a team that hasn't won a cup.
  8. I don't remember them trashing Heatley. They traded for Havlat because it freed up cap space and gave them a speed option to replace Setoguchi. Management had nothing but good things to say about Heatley and his time in San Jose. Nabokov was also a case of finances, they felt they could get away with a cheaper goaltender. That seems to be a foolish choice now, but I still wouldn't say they trashed him.
  9. I've never fully understood that stance because there are so many different ways to exercise. Find something that works for you. I burn a ton of calories playing hockey, for example, and I don't consider that boring at all.
  10. I've always had back problems, due to a mild case of scoliosis. As the others mentioned, stretching and exercise are the best bets, you want to strengthen those back muscles. An occasional visit to a massage therapist is also good.
  11. My Sharks are broken. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but as a whole the team looks pretty bad. I haven't seen them get outshot like this on a regular basis in about 7 years.
  12. I had a pretty crazy weekend. I went to Vegas for a hockey tournament, we swept our division and I made the all-tourney team. It was also my first time in Vegas with friends, I went many years ago with family but it was pretty boring. It was a lot more interesting this time around.
  13. Prometheus looks great. Maybe I saw a different trailer, but I didn't learn much about the plot from it. Granted I also only have a cursory knowledge of the Aliens universe. I watched "John Carter". While it was enjoyable, I think it needed to be a bit shorter. I really enjoyed the premise and it is a shame we will not get to see a sequel that gets deeper into the lore. I guess I can read the books. It's a shame they couldn't make this flick with a reasonable budget. I also wasn't blown away by the acting, it was decent but they really needed someone to shine.
  14. 21 Jump Street - Hilarious tribute/spoof film about the 80's TV show. There was a lot of humor that really only makes sense if you were a fan of the series, but I thought they did a great job if you were.
  15. Santorum doesn't just have differerent political views, he's running a campaign that openly looks to oppress women and gay people. For me that is just vile. I am much more comfortable to know Romney will just avoid the issues. Not happy, but at least I know civil rights won't be forced to step backwards.
  16. My problem with this statement is that it's a meme that the media have promoted since before he even entered the race But it's true, his party support is minimal. He also hasn't ever really threatened to gather much in the way of delegates. He's done surprisingly well given his politics. I've said before, it is great to have him out there, because he keeps a fresh take on the issues, but he's a lot like the Ralph Nader of the Republican party.
  17. That's a pretty famous drink, the first time I had it was actually in Canada.
  18. You forgot the s in scumbag. Gross.
  19. I don't consider Romney a lunatic, I will consider voting for him depending on his choice of running mate. I would never vote for Santorum, and that is something the republican party should be looking at. I am a complete moderate, a voting base that is really up for grabs and will probably decide the election. Paul could probably grab a lot of moderate voters like me, but he doesn't have a real shot at the nomination.
  20. What are they looking to seize the land for, GD? I always thought that was more a state and local issue than Federal? Just playing Devil's advocate here, as I was disappointed that he didn't approve it, but wouldn't his nixing of the the oil pipeline be good for those worried about imminent domain concerns?
  21. It is odd that they even allowed the budget for John Carter to get so crazy. It was actually a big controversy when James Cameron spent a ton on Titanic, and movies like the Pirates of the Caribbean are expensive, but I don't think the original was so costly.
  22. What do you mean by stake Boo? It is the President, so I'd say every American has some stake in the election. My worst case scenario is Santorum. It is my hope that I will see gay marriage in every state before too long, and Santorum will halt that in its tracks. I don't like to see discrimination like this on a Federal level.
  23. Huh, I guess I should have got the Kasumi DLC afterall. I only did Shadow Broker and Arrival in ME2.
  24. It looks to be set up for failure, but if the word of mouth continues and it keeps getting a strong international showing, it might be able to pull off a profit. I think there was an expectation that it could be the next Avatar, but the difference is James Cameron is known for these big budget successes while this director is known more for big animated films. That being said, the guy who did the Incredibles did a fantastic job with Mission Impossible, so it shouldn't be that surprising that an animated director can make the jump to live action.
  25. But the Afghan people aren't the enemy. That whole line of thinking causes huge problems in the first place. We are supposed to be there to help the Afghani people.
