  1. I haven't tried assaults with anything but shotgun variants. I made it to the final mission, but died heroically. I'll have to try it again. I also think I pushed the pace too much to get to the end, I don't have any heavy plasma weapons.
  2. Gorth, it's a make-up RPG. You need to upgrade your blush and eyeliner skills so they survive boss fights like emotional hallmark commercials and intermittent weather.
  3. That is weird. My wife and her friends jam quite a bit of stuff, and they seem to last in the fridge forever even when opened. Maybe it is the jar itself?
  4. Started Dishonored and using my gamepad on the PC. So far I'm struggling with the control scheme
  5. Oddly enough, earlier today I had cancelled my pledge. I hope it wasn't my fault I just wanted to put my money towards something else, and it wasn't looking very promising for them to make it.
  6. might i ask about what you're writing? One is a story about a Halfing Paladin, followed by a critical re-examination of the previous story suggesting that it is actually a popular myth combining several stories and exaggerations. Another is a story about an otherwise insignificant military officer with a backstabbing addiction. Or maybe he just hates both the people he was hired to spy on and the people he was hired to spy for. Today I'm thinking I'll write about fantasy thieves. I'm thinking a thief with a conscience. In which he steals from a little old lady, feels really bad about it, returns it, and begs to be jailed. How very Dostoevskyian
  7. The Quest for Glory series is my all-time favorite, with a perfect blend of adventure and RPG elements. Lori and Corey Cole are working on a new project, and their video shows that they've already done quite a bit of groundwork for it. It is a bit tough for me after dropping a big amount of PE, but luckily this campaign will take us into the next month so I should be able to come up with a decent pledge.
  8. The Grey - I love Liam Neeson, and the acting was decent in this film, but in the end it didn't seem to know what it wanted to be and turned out as a crappy horror flick. Kind of a shame, really. Get the Gringo - Mel Gibson in a role similar to Payback, but set in a Mexican prison. It had some real good parts, but also really lame parts. Worth a rental if you liked Payback, I suppose.
  9. Awesome! Other than PE, this was the other big Kickstarter I was waiting on.
  10. Yeah I plan on just keeping my subscription at this point. Even though I'm only playing a few days a month or so, I'd like to see them keep updating and adding to the game, and that seems to be the best way.
  11. This summer I visited Tillamook, Oregon and toured their very large cheese factory. We also had some great french cheeses at the Blue Heron Cheese Company nearby.
  12. There are clear civil rights differences between the two candidates though, one is progressive and one is conservative. I get that it comes more from them serving a certain voting base, but if I'm a woman, or I'm gay, or really if I'm any minority, I don't know how I can justify voting for Romney. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see Romney show he is willing to support civil rights. It would allow me to take him seriously as a candidate.
  13. Alien spawning? I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean.
  14. It really depends on how the coupon was written, but it sounds like it was clearly being exploited contrary to what the intent was. It is perfectly legal for a business to protect their assets from this kind of thing.
  15. I did enjoy Silent Storm, but even that was a long time ago. For snipers, I have one with the ability to hit anything the squad can see, and one with the ability to move and still shoot. I'm leaning towards the squad sight being a better choice, she just gets some great long distance kills whereas my other one has to get too close to the action. But it's nice having one of each too.
  16. I'm really hoping this was simply an attempt at humor that fell flat.
  17. I was shocked earlier that my fairly heavily armored medic got one shotted critically by a muton and died outright. Luckily I had another highly ranked medic, because I am now heading off to the big final battle.
  18. It's odd, but I enjoyed Xcom 3 a lot when it originally, but when I've tried to go back to it over the years I haven't been able to get going. It was definitely a very different experience from the original.
  19. In a lot of ways I'd say Origin is better than Steam, it seems to run smoother at least. But you can't beat those Steam sales
  20. That's the thing, if he's clearly a conspiracy nut, no jury is going to send him away for 20 years.
  21. Choosing some ammo types would be cool, just research it in the foundry or something. Although I'm really not missing having to make ammo clips and grenades. That little piece of simplification is fine by me Edit: I would love TFTD DLC. Fighting through the cruise ships was always a blast.
  22. I just can't believe how long it took for us to get a good squad level tactical combat game. It isn't magic! Seriously, it was a long barren stretch between JA2 and here.
  23. Okay thanks, but 28% is still a huge difference for the same job. Is this something that is known about and accepted or is this behavior that is actually illegal? It isn't something that is easy to enforce legally. You aren't just dealing with one company that pays men more than women. It gets even messier when dealing with bonuses and such, so a base salary may be equal, but many executives pull in more on bonuses than anything else.
  24. Yeah, I love how kickstarter manages all my pledges in one easy location. I'm uncomfortable pledging this project simply for that reason.
