  3. Dragon Crown is free to create whatever they want, but we are also free to ridicule them for doing so.
  4. Indubitably. But much like Oby, we put up with it because our community is awesome at debating the bizarre
  5. I wonder about the price ticket of these Hollywood celebrities. Purrrlease. It's Keifer. His career has been in a near death experience for almost 20 years, except for that series momentary boost. Nobody wants him. He's gonna do all the "acting" work in one week or so. All he can ask for this is 40-50k. I think you may be mistaken. He is a very busy actor. His voice shows up in a ton of stuff too, he's got national commercial voiceovers and those pay bank. That being said, I don't know what the going rate is for voicework in a video game, but I'm guessing he got the high end of it. Voiceover pays bank when you're voicing Homer Simpson, making you irreplaceable. It can also pay if you're in a good relationship with the studio and you're voicing one of their big budget pictures. That's all the scenarios I know of. He's replaceable. His voice can't be recognized, you won't hear "KEIFER SUTHERLAND AS A DONKEY" in a trailer because he's not Eddy Murphy, not even close. His voice is nothing, really, just like his acting. The reason he does that is because it's quick pocket money and it's the only kind of job his agent can get him nowadays, cause quite honestly he's a low tier actor. I mean, if not for his father and his connections, Keifer would be the Michael Dudikoff of our times. You really don't recognize his voice? http://youtu.be/RwHMIxdDdu8
  6. The obvious problem is that modern technology and production values require larger audience for games to be profitable. And it's not just the boob size that's getting cut. Just look at the dumbing-down in the gameplay department. Are we really putting boob size and gameplay side by side?
  7. You seem to be arguing about something completely different. I am talking about the grossly exaggerated garbage that the OP keeps putting up. I never said I had a problem with female characters. I even used the new Tomb Raider as a good example, and she isn't exactly wearing a burqa. Speaking of TR, Drowsy I agree with you that the story and seriousness of the new one is not a direction I am interested in. But that really has nothing to do with her diminishing cup size. This looks ridiculous. It's definitely not the body of an acrobat. Leisure Suit Larry is clearly marketed towards a specific group. It isn't a dungeon crawl, it is literally a game about boobs. I have no problem with that, it isn't a game I have an interest in, but it is marketed towards a specific audience and that is fine.
  8. I don't know a lot of female gamers. I do know a lot of females that dabble in games here and there, my wife included. I can tell you without a doubt that if I showed them this picture: They would have no interest in playing the game. So that is bad marketing, bad art design, and bad for the game. They are limiting the audience for no good reason at all. It is juvenile. They might have the most revolutionary game play ever created, but it crippled itself by choosing this art design. Now that is fine if this is a niche title trying to appeal to a small audience. But the majority of games should be broadening their player base, not limiting themselves to fulfill some juvenile fantasies. The newest Tomb Raider was played by a couple of my female co-workers. The fact that they went with a more realistic body, even if she was toned and had a lot of moisture shots, went a long way towards getting them to buy the game. Next we just need to cut back on the gratuitous violence and we'll have a grown up industry.

  10. Gaming needs women, so the games should be more welcoming to them. Or something like that. That's actually a perfect synopsis. I love gaming. I want more people to embrace gaming, because it is good for my hobby. Therefore I don't want games to alienate an entire gender. Pretty simple. I don't play games for boobs, so it is a pretty simple thing to give up, honestly.
  11. That vampire harpy barely looks human, let alone female.
  12. I wasn't into it at first, but then I saw the Zod trailer.
  13. It should not be a shock that a group of ladies do not want to play a competitive sport with a bunch of men. Men are aggressive in your face jerks while women are more passive aggressive and prefer to talk behind each other's backs. Obviously there are exceptions to the rule. Given mrkreku's attitude toward the women, I'm guessing they put together a club, requested practice and playing times at the field, and were denied. So they went the legal route. It's a pretty typical story. My hockey rink, which has more clubs running out of it than any other in the US, has all sorts of scheduling issues like this. We have adult leagues, over 35 leagues, female leagues, and junior hockey. My game times suck. But they are also actively trying to bring girls into the sport, which as a father with a young daughter, I appreciate immensely. Anyways, we've clearly strayed away from the topic at hand.
  14. The point he is making is that they got to "share" through no effort of their own. So if some guy who was not part of that original founding group wants to play, does he have to build everything from the ground up? They did go through some effort, they used the legal system to get their practice and playing time
  15. Waa waa, mrkreku has to share with girls
  16. She had a really good screen presence though. I have a feeling that the show will actually be guiding the books a bit from now on. Martin might have had a whole Jeyne Westerling storyline planned in the books, but decided it worked better to do it the way it was done in the show. In the long run this might be beneficial. The books were starting to drag, you can't do that with a 10 episode season. We will see, I suppose.
  17. I picked up Colonization too. Looks much deeper than Civ IV so far.
  18. You and your neighbors are probably too close to some power lines, and it is causing a degenerative eye disorder that makes you see weird things.
  19. The Planescape girls look ridiculous, as does that first picture in this thread. I don't get the appeal, really.
  20. I think there was a patch a couple days ago. I had a couple things but restarting Steam cleared them up.
  21. Why questions someone's tastes? People have different opinions about the games you like or hate. Exactly? If you post your opinion on a forum, I would think it would be expected that people would agree or disagree with it. I clearly side with the latter.
  22. DS and DS2 are mediocre action-RPG's, so I question your tastes. Also, wrong forum.
  23. I was a bit unhappy with the Red Wedding, because I felt it took away from Rob getting killed by putting all the focus on his young pregnant wife. I was actually a fan of them making her a central character as opposed to the books, but I guess they felt it wasn't powerful enough to simply kill Catelyn, Robb, and a bunch of others?
  24. I had a blast with it as well. I didn't try hacking it, but I was pretty satisfied just calling off the date in the end.
  25. Well, the ones that are blaming HBO for the Red Wedding are hillarious It's odd that so many people act like the books don't exist.
