  1. We could totally have an Obsidian Book Club now.
  2. The nice thing about the PS4 is I get a lot of non-gaming use out of it. Yeah, it's a bit expensive for a blu-ray/media player, but it fills that role well and I get to enjoy a few games I wouldn't on the PC.
  3. Cool, I just got it for my KIndle as well, thanks Sarex.
  4. Val Kilmer makes that movie. http://lebeauleblog.com/2011/05/05/what-the-hell-happened-to-val-kilmer/
  5. Sam has to get cut and clear waivers to be signed onto the practice squad. He had a good preseason, but he is still undersized and the Rams are pretty deep at DT. It would not be surprising for another team to pick him up though, but at the worst he'll be on the practice squad. David Fales made the Bears lineup as the 3rd string QB. That kid will be starting by next year, I guarantee it.
  6. At it's heart, Saint's Row has always been about parody. SR2 is simply the most subtle of the parodies, which is why it holds a special place. edit: And not everybody gets parody. ;-)
  7. I agree that Harry was the worst character arc. Was he in the first movie? I don't remember him at all. That being said, I like the family history angle where Peter's father basically lays the groundwork for Spider-Man being possible. It's an interesting twist. Harry was super unreasonable about everything.
  8. It may be the best, but it would be a shame if they recycled the same formula every time. SR3 & 4 had plenty of good surprises to make them worth the price of admission.
  9. Amazing Spider-Man 2 - It was great. Electro was extremely well done, just a masterful use of special effects. The Gwen Stacey/Spider-Man dynamic is fun to watch. It was just a fun superhero movie.
  10. You have no clue what you are talking about Bruce.
  11. Typically this just creates jobs in other sectors. But John Henry knows the woes of this path. http://youtu.be/xxReOxRwS-g
  12. Yes, what could go wrong with an out of control, lawless government? Well, let's look at a country slightly ahead of us on the curve: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/11059138/Rotherham-In-the-face-of-such-evil-who-is-the-racist-now.html That's a terrible story, but you understand that we can point to terrible situations like that in both the US and the UK throughout history, right? Sex trafficking has existed for centuries, cults, serial killers, etc. We had slavery, we had segregation, we've had lynch mobs and riots. But we also have modern statistics that show crime falling, we have better technology and responses to bad situations, and we have a society which is much more open and tolerant. So you've got a long way to go if you want to make the end is nigh argument, because our history ain't all that peachy and we are still chuggin' along.
  13. Geez, the Saint's Row people are brilliant bastards. I'm hooked. I need to continue SR4 actually.
  14. That is solid gold. His responses are good, and then there are just some golden retorts.
  15. My Ford Fusion hybrid is pretty fantastic, and I bought it used for like $14k. Doesn't get you the tax benefits, but 40 mpg is a pretty nice break when it comes to buying gas.
  16. http://witchwind.wordpress.com/2013/12/15/piv-is-always-rape-ok/ This is what we are dealing with folks. They can not be reasoned with, have no problem destroying lives to further their agenda, and are likely in need of mental health services. Yikes, it's like I fell down the rabbit hole reading that.
  17. I agree, it's very entertaining. The opening theme is one of the best I've seen.
  18. In a moment of weakness, I bought a PS4 and Madden 15. It is pretty nice.
  19. The amount of money I spend on a game never affects how long I'll play it, some of my $5 games have kept my attention raptly to the end, some of my full price games barely kept me engaged for a couple hours. Granted I'll never buy a sequel for full price if that happens, but I don't force myself to play something I don't want. Life is too short, and there are too many great games to play to be overly committed to one.
  20. I really doubt it will ever become mainstream. Heck even 3D is already losing the steam it gained from Avatar.
  21. That was an insane article. I'm not even sure it can be called an article. Time to restart the tone it down campaign.
  22. This is the achievement you get for finishing the game, and only 3.4% of the players who own the game on Steam have it. How great can the game be if people don't even bother to finish it. It is a very long game. All I care about is if the game is fun while I play it, I dont have some obligation to complete everything. There are a ton of games that this holds true for.
  23. Which one? Wind Waker? No, A Link to the Past. I do want to buy Wind Waker but it's a bit pricey. It was fun playing A LInk to the Past and telling my daughter how I used to play it when I was only a bit older than her. I still remember quite a bit from the intro after all these years.
  24. Grabbed Legend of Zelda off the Wii U store last night, it's fantastic.
  25. Maybe not the best time to drop off the mail?
