  1. I hate golf. Also not digging much of the new member influx.
  2. You can't do it until level 5, it's called the Crucible and it is a separate place that you visit.
  3. Bungie just made Destiny for both consoles, so I'm not sure what their relationship is with Microsoft anymore. Speaking of Destiny, just reached level 8 and having a blast exploring the moon. I tried one PvP match and was terrible, but thankfully there is plenty of PvE content to keep me happy.
  4. Ah, the wonderful life of working parents. Every morning I get up, make lunches for my two kids, wolf down breakfast, shower and get dressed, make two chocolate milks for the kids, poke and prod at my son until he is dressed while my wife handles the daughter, get him to the bathroom, help him brush, carry him to the car in a blanket, then load up the car, head over to grandma's, unload the kids and all their stuff, get back in the car, drop wife off at work, then drive myself to work. It ain't always pretty, but we get it done.
  5. PS4 is $100 cheaper, and it is fantastic, so I went with that.
  6. Nice of you to check in with us Cant. Grats on the weight loss.
  7. I'm amazed at how marketable Minecraft is. It's everywhere, t-shirts, stuffed animals, lego sets. That's got to be bringing in some major scrap for that guy.
  8. I bought Destiny, and it's fantastic. Bungie really managed to pull off a great MMO shooter. It's a beautiful and engaging world, and my character with his big hand blaster and sniper rifle is super fun to play. I am not sure that they have the depth of an MMORPG, as I've only played to level 5, but it's a very good start.
  9. I just sent an invisible jet over to your house. It's parked out front.
  10. King is so dang productive, he writes just a ton.
  11. Well, I wouldn't use that game as a gauge of how the Niners defense will hold up until they start getting guys back. I don't think you can count on other teams emptying an entire clip into their own foot, reloading, then emptying the next clip into their foot. When you think about though, now they only have 8 games until they get both Aldon Smith and Bowman back. Granted they might not be up to speed, but even if the Niners go 5-3 over the next 8, they are in a good position to be getting stronger going into the postseason. Of course both Brock and Culliver were carted off today, so who knows how that turns out.
  12. It looks like an ideal game to play on a tablet, which is nice. Tablets need love too.
  13. I was pretty worried about the Niners defense this season, but thankfully the Cowboys are just going to hand the ball over and plead for mercy.
  14. Skylar, our deviant 7-year old, was upset at her brother for him beating her in Mario Kart. So she whipped up a batch of yellow food coloring and spread it around his bed and floor. We even had him apologize before we found the food color evidence in the kitchen.
  15. EA earned my enmity when they assimilated Bullfrog Software, and took them off DK3 and put them to work on a Harry Potter game. (And then they gobbled up Westwood Studios.) I doubt you can find many current EA employees that were even around for that, it was like 20 years ago.
  16. Is your space bar broken? I think your english is fine, Darth Deven, but your lack of spacing and capitalization makes it very hard to read your posts. Honestly I do remember we had a poster years back who was using a broken keyboard, and there were certain issues with his posts. It helped when he explained that to us.
  17. Bojack Horseman was amazing. It started off as a pretty standard animated show with some good humor, but then the narrative really came into focus. It was more than just funny, it was thought provoking and a bit melancholy. It was brilliant.
  18. They make six thousand per week. You can beat me with a stick for that kind of money. I read a book from an NFL bench player, and he said after all is said and done (agents, taxes, etc.), that paycheck is pretty much cut in half. So sure, $60k is a decent haul for 17 weeks of work, but it's hardly a windfall.
  19. Overcorrection is pretty much par for the course whenever you have a group that is discriminated and repressed for generations. That being said, practice squad players aren't exactly glorified, they make very little and still take a bunch of hits. I'm a bit surprised he didn't opt to go to the CFL or something along those lines. Also, if there is a decent player in any pro sport right now that is gay and is concealing it, they are missing out on a huge marketing opportunity. I know they probably grew up in a culture that spurns revealing something like that, but anyone who steps forward right now is going to be set for life with speaking engagements, book deals, etc. Then again, I doubt you become a pro athlete by focusing on that long term stuff, you are too busy trying to stay in the league.
  20. I'm not sure it's worthwhile to argue with Bester. Sure, it's fun to call him on his lackadaisical approach to trolling (I still miss Lord of Flies) but it's not like he's here to engage in actual discussion.
  21. Ikea totally stole my classroom material, I give that same speech when I introduce the textbooks and atlases.
