  1. I'm a bit surprised at the people grumbling about it being episode IV all over again. That movie came out 38 years ago. Is it really a problem that they are following the same blueprint?
  2. Those bandits are crazy tough. Had to break out a couple stim packs.
  3. I did that once, ended up hiding out in our complex's laundry room for a few hours until my wife got home. Had no cell phone on me.
  4. Huh, I wasn't a fan of Skyrim's story either. I think I liked the start of Fallout 4 better than most Bethesda titles. But once I entered that first town, it went downhill. I haven't finished the story, I figure I'll get around to it over the next 7 years.
  5. Not Einstein, Eisenstein, meaning Sergei Eisenstein, who was Soviet film director, who are noted for his silent films like Strike (1925), Battleship Potemkin (1925) and October (1928) and his historical epics like Alexander Nevsky (1938) and Ivan the Terrible (1944, 1958). I would say that his style was much different than what Michael Bay for example uses. Ah, my mistake, I am chagrined.
  6. I find it bit stupid that they didn't bother to actually explain how he survived even though they used his implied death as plot device to make Finn do stuff that he probably otherwise wouldn't have done. Hmm, that is why I think there is more to it than that. Gives me a LOST vibe, for sure.
  7. So no one else thought the way Poe survived the crash was odd?
  8. I'm really not following what you are saying Tigranes. What is with the Einstein vs. Michael Bay example? Are the two somehow incongruous? It seems like I see an awful lot more of the "Oh, you like Michael Bay, you are a lesser mortal" than anything else. Granted that is probably because people who enjoy popular stuff are too busy out, uh, enjoying stuff.
  9. I'm getting ready to watch San Jose State play in a few. Go Spartans!
  10. Yeah I only made it about halfway through the two times I played it. I think the world is a bit hard for me to stay interested in, honestly. But I appreciate that it gets attention, because it is a good example of how writing should be done.
  11. It is weird to compare them, really. I was just pointing out they benefit from a big screen and a rockin' sound system.
  12. Really? Huh, I guess I just assumed it did since it looked really bad. I never saw it, honestly.
  13. Boo doesn't like anything. I haven't seen any of those three movies, but they clearly have an audience. I'd imagine they are all plenty enjoyable. I still remember when our comic book movies were terrible, Jurassic Park sequels went straight to video, and young teen movies were dominated by Twilight. It's a great time to be alive!
  14. I have a love-hate relationship with inventory management and crafting. I start with the honeymoon phase where I love the possibilities, then I get overwhelmed by too many items and lack of understanding. Next I start to figure it out and craft some cool stuff, and then lastly I tend to give up as I realize it is too hard to keep up with. No idea if that will apply to Underrail, but that is my modus operandi. Really I just miss the way Jagged Alliance 2 worked.
  15. I feel like I should add that if you did not go see this in a theater, you are doing yourself a disservice. Much like Mad Max, the experience warrants an impressive venue.
  16. The perfect storm will be Bush versus Clinton, with Sanders and Trump running independent. Throw in Ralph Nader and Ross Perot (who, I looked it up, is still alive!) and we'd have a fantastic show.
  17. Uh, I think you watched a different movie. He is no more of a comic relief than Han Solo. Stereotypical black guy stuff? He was the star of the film, what are you talking about? I'd actually say this was Fin and Han's movie. They got the bulk of the character development, they drove the narrative. I would assume the next movie will be the story of Luke and Rey, although I imagine Luke will get less screen time.
  18. In what crazy world do you guys think that 10% of Muslims are extremists? That would be a huge amount.
  19. Well, that was fantastic. I was just in love with every moment. It was such a pleasure to watch Harrison Ford play the character again, he nailed it without it seeming like a cheesy tribute. Fin is fantastic too, I'd say he may be the best actor in the bunch. It was such a treat to watch, considering the prequels really lacked that. I cared about the characters by the end of the movie, and that was great.
  20. I have got a pretty solid game going in Divinity as well, but I am sure I will jump to something else soon. Maybe Mordheim or Underrail.
  21. I plan on quitting the tree business as soon as the kids are out of the house. So about 13 years. If they are in the house after that, they can go get the tree themselves.
  22. The modern right-wing in a nutshell.Oh you sensitive little pink flower. Did it hurt you? Want me to kiss you or hug? I mean poor little man... Ah, covering up insecurities by calling people names. Digging deep in the playbook with that one.
  23. That 3rd quarter, wow. I was running around getting the kids to bed, and every time I checked the score it just got more outlandish.
