  1. I'm not sure I buy that the democratic turnout reflects on the general election. You are still coming off 8 years of democratic leadership, meaning there isn't a terrible amount of panic about where the country is going on that side. It will be a different scenario when you get to the general election.
  2. You are really starting to sound like one of the crazy conservative radio hosts that make their money off hyperbole and shock jock antics. I don't like her politics and won't vote for her, but trying to demonize her when Trump is running across the way is hilarious. He's a much better target.
  3. ACA, or Obamacare, is not going to get overturned. It may be changed, and it's got plenty of flaws, but you can't really go in reverse once you've made health insurance mandatory.
  4. I'm loving the Story time mode in Pillars, I was able to clear out the Caed Nua dungeon in an hour instead of a week.
  5. Deadpool has ruined every other superhero movie for me.
  6. The affordable care act, whether you love it or hate it, was a pretty big deal.
  7. Wait, people actually watch the Oscars?
  8. I don't know breakdown by country, but Bruce was talking about Africa in general. Yeah, the point would still stand. That's a pretty long way to float a raft.
  9. Are there a lot of South Africans coming to the US illegally?
  10. I underestimated him, he smashed his mark in 1 game. It came down to the wire, but the Warriors clinched a playoff berth.
  11. Dr. Pepper or Mr. Pibb would work I thought about that, but my wife hates the stuff and I know I'll need to share. Granted she tends to drink her fireball with hard ciders. edit: Hot chocolate sounds intriguing. edit 2: Cherry pepsi works decent. I really need to learn more about mixed drinks, they are a mystery to me.
  12. The Cowboys branded themselves as America's team, which is a great way to get most America to make fun of you. For awhile, they were the Yankees of football, but the Patriots have owned that title for awhile now.
  13. Was in the mood for a mixed drink, so I picked up some fireball. Now I'm trying to decide what to mix it with. I have a cherry pepsi, I think I'll try that. Should have got rumchata to go with it.
  14. So you read that article and you got the impression she is a felon a thousand times over?
  15. Yeah, but to be fair, your sources tend to be terrible.
  16. I am pretty shocked Christie endorsed Trump for the candidacy.
  17. I'm just enjoying how he will smash his 3 pt. mark again in about 2 games. He is going to set a gaudy mark this year, it might be up there with Wayne Gretzky's untouchable points numbers.
  18. Getting in a huff about changing terminology is just as ridiculous as getting in a huff about terminology.
  19. Well card counting isn't illegal or anything, it is just frowned on. If I ever made it to the point of getting interest from the pitboss, I'd consider that a success. I tried a few of those online drills to see if I could keep track, it's extremely hard unless you have a good head for numbers. In addition you need a decent bankroll and all it really does is give you the edge instead of the house. You turned $3 into enough for dinner and a ride? That's a pretty big win margin. I'm pretty happy if I win enough for a dinner, but usually it's more like win $20 here, lose $20 there, slink away after 20 minutes.
  20. I'm curious if Ballast Point will continue to be as inventive now that they are owned by Coors. I hope so. All the San Diego places seem to charge more than the usual. Some are worth it, of course.
  21. I just read a book on Bob Stupak, it was a great read and it started with his dad running dice games in Pittsburgh. Honestly I do very little gambling. I love the idea of winning some money, but chicken out very quick. I go for the alone time with the missus, the great food and drinks, and the spas. Like Gromnir, I used to be thoroughly uninterested in Vegas and thought it was tacky and a money pit. But then I went with my wife for a hockey tourney, and I realized you can get great rooms for great deals, experience a wide selection of amazing dining options for cheaper than I get in San Francisco, and there isn't a kid in sight (for the most part.) As a person who has kids and works with kids all day long, going to a place geared completely towards adults is a huge escape.
  22. With Disneyland out of the way, I'm focused on planning a romantic trip with the Missus to Vegas in April. I've got a flight booked, fancy room picked out, couple massage planned, and dinners reserved. I did have a brief moment of insanity and think about booking this exclusive dining experience called e by Jose Andres. http://www.yelp.com/biz/%C3%A9-by-jos%C3%A9-andr%C3%A9s-las-vegas-3 It sounds amazing, but $500 is a bit steep for one night.
  23. I don't know, anyone named Bates is worth it just for the giggles.
