If we really want to capture the spirit of the 2nd amendment, we should worry less about our individual stockpile of guns and get into an organized militia. But those people get labeled as crazies.

It has nothing to do with morality and everything to do with maturity.

Aren't you in your late 20's? When I say under-age, I'm not referring to anything sexual. There is simply a point where you are too old to be hanging out with 17 year old girls, let alone smoking pot and clubbing with them. Letting them know that would have been perfectly normal when you learned their age. Honestly I'd also say you are too old to be smoking pot with strangers in car parks, but maybe I'm out of line there. edit: Just noticed your age says 41. That's terrible.

That time when Prince shredded in front of some legendary guitarists: This is also a great song: http://en.musicplayon.com/play-touch?v=399286

I've never been into strip clubs, I just don't think the service of looking good and paying attention to me is actually worth money. But I'm pretty stingy with my money I suppose. I'd rather pay for a massage, and I don't even mean a happy ending one. The whole Bruce smoking pot with underage girls thing is pretty skeevy. How old is Bruce now? How is it acceptable for a teacher to be smoking out with students? How does that not raise red flags?

What other reasons could there be then? Should have a good reason to say someone shouldn't own something in a society. I'd imagine he was referring to the high rate of regular gun violence, accidents, and suicides. Much like terrorist attacks, your chances of being involved in a mass shooting are extremely low, but they get the bulk of the attention. The counterpoint to that is typically something about how dangerous cars are. I'm just not feeling this debate.

Been getting ready for my daughter's 9th birthday part tomorrow. I hit the backyard with the weed wacker. I hate doing that. But the house is coming together and she's got a pretty cool Root Beer theme going on.

I'm not sure that the government is really all that committed though. The Assault Weapons Ban expired and has not been able to get back through the senate. The background checks are the big new thing, and those are facing plenty of resistance within the government itself, so who knows how it will end up looking under new leadership?

I'm confused, did Lexx just refer to Guardians of the Galaxy as mediocre family cinema?

I have my moments where I would like to see some changes in the way gun ownership works in this country, particularly after a tragic event like Sandy Hook. But at the end of the day, it is simply unfeasible both logistically and culturally to put any serious restrictions on guns in this country. Instead I'd like to see better education and awareness, and I think a group like the NRA should be at the forefront of that. But they seem to spend more time on political posturing.

I hate to tell you this Malc, but you are way more chipper than you were a few years ago.

No word on cause yet, but he seemed pretty dang healthy.

I was able to watch the video I posted again during my break, and I cried like a baby.

The news is still being confirmed, but we may have lost Prince. This has already been a tough year for musicians, but this one hits me the hardest. Prince was simply an unprecedented talent. Here is his out of this world Superbowl performance from a few years back... Rumor is there is just a massive trove of recordings locked away in his compound in Minneapolis. My only consolation is that I hope we get to hear some of those unreleased gems.

Blame Social Justice Warriors for Donald Trump
Hurlshort replied to Valsuelm's topic in Way Off-Topic
Actually I looked it up, he may have a skin condition, but it wasn't very clear. Wasn't actually a judgement, more of a query. -
You dont think if there was real evidence against Hilary the FBI would have charged her by now? You seem to foolishly believe the FBI has any integrity. Yes I trust the FBI, thats why I supported Apple assisting them with the backdoor access to there devices Ah yes, supporting pure evil you are there. Realize it though you may not. That is giving the FBI too much credit.

Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear RELEASED
Hurlshort replied to Infinitron's topic in Computer and Console
Maybe you were joking, but I'm pretty sure the vast majority of games either have nothing to do with SJW issues or are pretty clearly not in line with the 'SJW agenda' Simply put, there is no evidence that people like Sarkeesian are actually affecting the direction of the gaming industry. It's all about the money, and games like The Witcher and The Division are setting the tone with huge profits. -

I watched the first few minutes, I love the idea of running into Billy Corgan at an RV park and talking about America with him. But why is he dressed like a hobo? -

Source? https://archive.is/4HIow#selection-4325.1-4341.5 Everyone has a hidden agenda. Except me! - Michael Crichton Yeah... if only Scott were as entertaining a writer as Crichton was, though. Huh, that's pretty tame. "I like to create diverse characters" is hardly the same as "I'm going to cram my agenda down your throat!" But hey, to each their own. -
That looks pretty good.

Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear RELEASED
Hurlshort replied to Infinitron's topic in Computer and Console
That's kind of the beauty of creating stuff though, you are free to push whatever agenda you want. It may not sell well, of course, but there is a point where the consumer complaints get into ludicrous territory. I had zero interest in Hatred, I voiced my concern that it looked like a dumb concept, but I couldn't imagine going out of my way to write reviews and trying to boycott it. That is crazy behavior. -
And I just lost 90 minutes of time.

Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear RELEASED
Hurlshort replied to Infinitron's topic in Computer and Console
If most of those reviews seem to be coming from people that haven't played the game, absolutely. Nothing about the setting or storyline seems to be pushing some agenda. It looks like a pretty typical fantasy game.
