Ah, my bad. I guess the new one is called Bannerlord, which is technically a prequel to Warband? I don't know, I just loot and pillage.

Just to eliminate confusion, I was talking about Wartales. Warband is the new Mount and Blade game. Which is actually really good too. What times we live in!

Wartales has sure added a lot since I played back in Early Access. The fact that you can set up pitons and climb mountains is a pretty interesting mechanic. My band is pretty strong at level 5-6, and we have one lucky wolf named Fang who has surprisingly survived from the early game. I've buried a lot of animals, so this pup is clearly lucky. I think it might be better than Battle Brothers. It definitely is much deeper. It might not have the same replayability, mostly because of a more set narrative, but it does give you a lot of interesting options on how to construct your warband and still creates some great storylines amongst the team.

It is the best game ever, so get it. If you play on Civilized, the combat is pretty forgiving. Enemies are basically level locked, so as you level it will be easier to dominate areas that might have been hard early on. Also on Civilized, death is not too serious and is actually an easy way to get back home quickly if you have travelled too far. The only time you really need to use strategy is when you fight bosses, and you don't need to rush those. You can even go into admin mode and change the combat settings if you are having trouble. I've done that with a couple bosses. It's a pretty flexible game when you are playing single player or co-op. You can basically adjust the setting to any play style you want.

That looks like a nice floorplan. Don't forget to add a generator to it. What are you pulling it with? Have you pulled large trailers before?

Yeah, pretty sad. The plans for the Jack London Square stadium are beautiful and could really revitalize Downtown Oakland, but the A's owner and the city have been at war for close to a decade over it. The A's will likely thrive in Vegas, just like the Knight and the Raiders. I'm planning on retiring to Summerlin someday, so I guess I'm not too bummed.

(c) The new commercial was clearly already made and likely slated for release well before the controversy. (d) Bud Light sends personlized cans to a lot of influencers. Choosing Dylan Mulvaney was probably a fairly low level advertising choice. They couldn't predict the stupidity and hatred of people. (e) There is nothing wrong with Dylan Mulvaney. People who have a problem with her are bigots.

Please remind me what the upside is.

Seriously. I don't follow Dylan Mulvaney (or any influencer, really) but she seems like a pretty positive person. These attacks on her and Bud Light are so weird. Why do people care?

Phoenix is practically the same plane ride as SoCal (maybe easier, given LA traffic), so I'd still that is a fairly local matchup.

Have you used the new teleport and transport stuff in Conan Exiles? I'm not far enough in to have seen it, but I was assuming that would swap the reliance on the map room a bit.

Oh. Pretty sure this goes back to my dumb hit pieces on the internet theory. As I have said before, Amazon is already in deep on this IP, they are not Netflix, and they have said nothing to indicate they will be ending this series early. That being said, they aren't even slated to come out with season 2 for another year.

These dumb hit pieces on RoP are so weird. "Here is a statistic that looks bad when we remove most of the context, gasp!" Netflix doesn't even report most numbers. What does 37% total out to? If a tree falls in the forest, but only one person hears it, but they listen to the whole noise, does it get renewed?

I don't think Draymond goes anywhere, for better or worse. He is a Warrior for life. There is a lot of outside noise about him, but the organization knows what he means to the dynasty.

I'm still in love with my hydrogen car, a 2021 Toyota Mirai, a year and a half into owning it. Hydrogen prices have risen, which is an issue, but I'm still using the free fuel card (I think it has another $5k on it.) It drives like a dream. I just hit 30k miles on it and maintenance has been a breeze. I've driven it to Southern California a handful of times with no issues.

Yep, 12 and 15, so they can take something if they need it. But honestly they will probably be fine. I'm the one that will be a mess.

Man, I remember I had to replace my son's and it was painfully expensive. I don't know when they changed the policy in the US, but I felt ripped off.

On Saturday I'm taking the whole family on a flight to Atlanta, Georgia. We are celebrating my mom's 70th birthday. My parents and sister have lived in Georgia for about 7 years, but this is my first visit. I'm excited to see the family, but I'm a bit concerned about the flight. My kids have never actually flown, and I haven't flown in about 10 years. Last time I flew I got a terrible sinus headache that lasted for most of the flight. So yeah, I hope my brain doesn't explode and I hope my kids do alright.

Conan Exiles - My new base and thralls are coming along well. The sorcerer stuff is exciting. You aren't throwing fireballs or anything crazy like that, but you can do some pretty interesting things with it. It also adds a good deal of lore and story to the game. I'm excited to get the teleporter stuff up and running, so I can start a new base is a better spot. Right now I'm near all the early game stuff, which is good, but I am almost ready to move on.

Ah yes, that time Jesus came down from his gaudy gold tower to face Pontius Pilate. I guess Stormy Daniels needs to play up the Mary Magdelene angle in her next film.
