  1. That is hilarious. Yes, we all deserve degrees based on our life experiences.
  2. I would guess HBS will return to Shadowrun down the road.
  3. I've noticed they shovel a lot of ****, they're like the opposite of one of those post-modern liberal arts colleges. Yep, although it is much easier to spot the crazy hippy colleges. Prager works pretty hard to conceal the fact it is just a shill for some conservative rich people. Also it's not a university in any actual sense of the word.
  4. Elves have always creeped me out, so if anything this just validates my distaste.
  5. Good old Prager University propaganda.
  6. Yep, that is definitely the tone of Larian games. If you don't like silliness and tongue in cheek humor, it is not a good fit for you. Honestly, if you don't chuckle when you hear the name DIVINE DIVINITY, you really aren't in the target audience.
  7. One of the documents I show my students is an account of a former Roman citizen who lives in lands conquered by the Huns, and he talks about how his tax rates are better under the Huns, and the law and order system is less corrupt. That video made me think of that.
  8. In the interview, he says it would be an action rpg/mp game like the glory days of Mass Effect and Destiny. First off, when did ME become the glory days? Secondly that sounds bad. I will stick to the hairbrained vision.
  9. Not at all, I am saying video game avatars tend to represent an ideal. It is not really ideal to be overweight.
  10. That's super upsetting to hear, but you are clearly a better man than me.
  11. I think your face is super unfunny.
  12. How is that word even in someone's vocabulary?
  13. Since it was brought up, I have some pretty strong opinions on the whole climate we have today regarding weight. While I am going to be quick to defend anyone who is belittled or attacked over their bodies, I'm pretty concerned about the health implications of normalizing obesity. Living healthy and being active SHOULD be priorities in our society. Video games typically represent an ideal or exaggerated version of a person. You can jump higher, fight better, and run longer than the common man or woman. So why would obesity be common?
  14. SW:TOR lets you play a fairly beefy character, male or female.
  15. If Larian has managed to make interesting companions, that will be a first for them. I love Larian games, but that has never been a priority for them. Obsidian, on the other hand, has a pretty long list.
  16. I agree with you that we should never look at any media outlet as unbiased. They all have their spin. There are tremendous flaws in the whole 24 hour news cycle that we are all subject to today. I just think the only thing worse than a society of biased journalists is a society without journalists at all. What do you replace it with?
  17. Steam used to run like garbage and had a completely botched offline mode. It seems to be much better now. edit: I originally used borked instead of botched, but after research, it did not quite mean what I thought it did. You learn something new every day!
  18. Did it though? It seems pretty unlikely.
  19. Define media?
  20. I don't really see what is so crazy about it, seems like a pretty decent discussion.
  21. So how about that Miss Texas?
  22. I could see the art asset argument being a thing. You only have so many resources to devote. But is it true that Morrowind had breastless Argonians? Seems weird that they would change course on it. I'd love to hear from Bethesda officially on the change.
  23. El Pollo Loco is pretty solid. I'm more about the sandwich shops though. Mr. Pickles is my new favorite.
  24. I only play Wordz Up on my phone.
  25. I expect the male avatars to look good as well, so not really a double standard. They tend to be using it as a funny buzzword more than actual indignation. But I think that glib use of the word at a young age makes it harder for them to have a strong understanding of what racism is. Then you end up with a bunch of kids that think it is funny to be racist and a bunch of kids that think everything is racist. It's ok, I'm taking care of it one class at a time.
