Well I guess some people see it as an insurance policy against the apocalypse. I shouldn't talk though, I am eyeing a $5k road bike.

This question is about a decade too late. Don't worry, though, it's going to happen on consoles, too. It happens on consoles all the time. The Wii U games are pretty worthless if you upgrade to the Switch, unless you want to a bunch of different consoles around just to play a couple older titles. Nintendo is the master of repackaging their core titles for a new system and making the audience pay full price for it, and they almost never go down in price. On the PC, if I need to re-buy an older title, I can usually get it pretty cheap at least. But really, I'm not all that worried about losing access to a game I bought in the past. I barely have time to play the new games. If a game is important enough for me to want to replay it a decade later, then I usually don't mind dropping a few bucks to play a remastered version. They are just games. I have plenty of products that don't age well, and games are on that list.

I believe the story was RDR1 had some major coding issues.

Huh, I had GTA V on ps4 and pc, and preferred the pc version. More to do with my cheap tv and just being more comfortable, but it ran great on the pc for me.

Geez, maybe it's time for another tone it down a notch movement. I mean, I get that these are crazy people, but they are crazy people being bombarded with hyperbolic politics every day.

There is a lot of button uses for each task due to the amount of tasks your character can do it seems. It definitely is one of the best representation of playing a cowboy from that era it seems. I can see why some people would dislike this game after coming from any other open world game, like AC Odyssey where you don’t have to go through two steps to do most things. Not to a detriment, but to a degree of realism. RDR 2 so far for me has been a good chill experience to relax to and enjoy the ride/experience instead of just go from one question mark to the next. At least so far. Oh I didn't mean to imply I dislike the game. So far it is great. I just haven't mastered the controls. Probably get less stressful after I get past the tutorial type parts.

Shingles are fading away and I had a great bike ride today. I ended up climbing up a portion of a road that was gravel, and it was a bit slippery with my road bike, but as long as I stayed in my saddle and kept turning pedals, I was safe. Ended up with about a 40 mile ride with some good climbing. We were at a really good market with an actual butcher, so I called my wife for a ride and bought some Chicken Apricot sausages for dinner.

There are a lot of buttons in RDR2 and I never seem to hit the right ones. I mean, I was pretty good with the GTA layout, and I still nearly shoot people when I am trying to bring up dialogue, or eat a meal when I'm trying to calm my horse. Hopefully I'll get it soon.

Went to bed after the 13th. Wow.

Picked up Red Dead as well, so I will be playing it once it installs.

Glad to hear the Roseanne-less Roseanne is a dud, but I just can't buy the whole narrative that comedy is dead in a new PC world. I mean, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is like in season 15, and Rick and Morty creators are being given Star Trek.

Mine isn't too bad, I imagine it is worse when you are older. Just uncomfortable. I can still exercise and everything, but I am a bit tired so trying not to push it. The doctor gave me a prescription that is supposed to help.

I don't get it. DM means Direct Message on Twitter and also Dungeon Master in RPG's. So hilarity ensues... I think I preferred not getting it.

Alright, but the president is like the least important thing you vote for. Still, I do hate jury duty.

You scoundrel!

Registered Republicans? Maybe Gfted1, smjjames, and chilloutman. Right wring caricatures - Sharpie and SonicMage at present, but we've had some great ones over the years.
-
It's interesting that we go straight to Right = Republican, when I'm not really sure that is the case. My wife is a lifelong registered Republican, but she didn't vote for Trump or support Cavanaugh. Trump himself was a lifelong democrat until he wasn't. Heck, I vote for Republicans as often as I do Democrats, and some folks here think I'm as leftist as it gets.

I've got shingles. Welcome to 40. There are painful rash spots up and down my left leg.
-
Huh, I think SonicMage's schtick might be even better here in politics than it is in the gaming threads. I mean, maybe it's a bit too obvious to get the same reactions, but the comedy is there. I hope we all appreciate the work that goes into this stuff.

Best shooter in history. -
I get the impression that we have a lot more right wingers here than left wingers, but the right wingers see themselves as some sort of oppressed minority and they need to really double down on the rhetoric all the time. Just my impression.

I think it's more like "bombs get sent to Trump all the time but the liberal media never reports it."

I get that he's a hall of fame regular season pitcher, but that Kershaw guy...

Too bad the last game is one of my favorites of all time, crank out that majestic sequel worthy title at any cost! Chip chip cheerio! Another bummer, their soul eating machine clearly churns out a superior product.

It doesn't help that working on video games is basically a dream job for people, so companies like Rockstar basically have their pick of young idealistic talent to burn out and make bitter about the world.
