  1. Zwift is pretty cool, I get a lot of Strava updates from people riding around Watopia.
  2. Doubled down with the bike groups today and put in a nice 40 miles. My legs felt good, so I decided to run a couple miles when I got home. Now I am contemplating a nap.
  3. My A Team is always injured, so I usually get a pretty solid B and C team going.
  4. Back to immigration, Trump is really making a difference: https://apnews.com/32bb7d14fa6e4802b65c82905fb0d959
  5. Yeah, 5 sets is too many. I agree with King. Other than that I made it about half way before the smarminess overwhelmed me.
  6. I like how Gfted's attempt at living off the government's dime has morphed into him living off the grid as a survivalist.
  7. Except it isn't really just another product, like a car. You only get the one body. When we monetize health care we are basically saying if you have less money, you shouldn't expect to live as long, or you should get used to being in more pain than wealthy folks. I am not sure if the way we handle vet care is all that better, but at least you can choose not to be a pet owner. Every single person needs good medical care. It isn't a want like a car, it is a basic need.
  8. I just find it hard to believe that there isn't curation happening. As I said, the game in the video was removed, so clearly there is a process for removal. You can report titles from the store page for a lot of different reasons. We don't really know what it happening behind the scenes at Valve, and really that is to be expected from a private company.
  9. You can still get that in Xenonauts, Majestic.
  10. What is your definition of a fair few? Scams and trojans still seem to be a pretty rare occurence on Steam. This is the first I've heard about it at least. I am not the most hip gamer, but still seems like it would be making bigger waves if it was really commonplace. Edit: For example, the game in the video has already been removed.
  11. People tend to blame the companies that release the contaminated food first as long as the store is active about putting up notices, removing the product, and issuing refunds once the contamination is known. Yes the groceries do that, because it's the right thing to do. But have you noticed similar behaviour from Valves side? If yes, please ignore my rambling I've been happy with the Valve return policy since they implemented it. It's a step ahead of the physical stores, for the most part. Stores have a lot of junk food, Steam has a lot of junk titles. I find it is pretty easy to avoid both by simply reading up on it first. I don't really blame anyone for it.
  12. I believe a lot of the Xcom 2 timers are just for reinforcements though, not just 'you lose'. But yeah, given the setting, there is a lot more if a time crunch. Thankfully you also get a lot more mobility options on soldiers.I enjoyed sprinting away fron the zombies, at least.

  14. I think it is supposed to be like a statement of the obvious. But really, it isn't, because flour tortillas would burn, and even corn could be tricky.
  15. Did a 14.5 mile trail run today. It was pretty epic. We ended up out by a beautiful lake. I felt pretty good most of the way, so hopefully I will not be regretting it tomorrow.
  16. There are a lot options when it comes to playing Xcom games. You can play on easy, which is fairly easy as long as you are careful and methodical in your positioning. You can play on harder and enjoy the fact you will lose soldiers to unfair situations because life is unfair, and just remember that unfairness will sometimes work in your favor when you leave a soldier in a bad spot. Or you can save scum. Which is honestly how I always play my first playthrough, because it teaches me about how to play the game carefully without feeling like I'm being punished. I save the ironman runs for later on.
  17. Well as someone with a wife and daughter who deal with dyslexia, I can tell you subtitles are simply not an option for them. Considering about 1 in 5 people deal with some level of phonemic awareness, I'm pretty thankful when there is a dubbing option available. The proliferation of audio books has also been a big boon to my daughter as she looks to expand her cultural horizons.
  18. That's why MLB The Show is the best RPG ever.
  19. Sounds more like a difference between camera angle than anything to do with control.
  20. I decided to read the first novel set in the world, so I'm probably going to buy it.
  21. Well hopefully your words don't come back to haunt you when you run for President of Kanada, Volo. Although we can probably get Oby to rig the election for you.
  22. My father-in-law has a lot of health issues after driving a truck most of his life, and I was thinking about how sore I was after driving a few long days in the RV, plus reading Keyrock's truck adventures. It got me thinking about how you can stay healthy as a professional driver, and this was the best article I read about it: https://www.menshealth.com/fitness/a19534152/on-the-road-fitness/
  23. Makes sense. I'm not sure why anyone would risk their career over social media stuff. I guess it makes sense when you are trying to build a following, but once you've made it, just seems like an unnecessary risk.
  24. Heh, hardly anything new. Marlon Brando has some really crazy stories about his 'process'
  25. I wouldn't say that. I know Leto is a good actor. I didn't care for his Joker, but a lot of that is the residual of Ledger being the best version, and then his being such a radical departure. Plus the Joker is a much more well known role. I know very little about Morbius and so would go into it with no preconceptions about what the character should be.
