What you did Today: The Story of you
Ah, I miss the Yo Gabba Gabba stage of my kid's life.

Politics: The Undiscovered Country
Technically she really doesn't need to poll too high at this point, as long as she can bring in enough money to stay in the race. Once a few more drop out, she will gain visibility. But yeah, still a long shot. I looked up how Obama was polling before he become the frontrunner and he was a lot more visible.

What you did Today: The Story of you
Welcome to the forum, Rihanna. So tomorrow is my 41st birthday, and I think I crammed in enough major achievements in year 40 to level up safely. It was a good year.

Guns vs. Video Games: Which One Would You Ban?
I actually went over that arrest video with my son earlier. It's pretty heartbreaking to watch as a parent.

What you did Today: The Story of you
I have a 20 year old truck with 267k miles on it. Parts are actually pretty easy to find and replace.

The drinking thread
Lagers are getting some love in the craft beer world, so there should be some good options out there now. It's a longer process than ales, so it can take a bit of patience.

I just hope they appreciate my high score in WordzUp!

TV and Streaming: The Thread
Wu Assassins seems pretty fun, kind of has that Big Trouble in Little Chinatown feel. Although it is a bit unrealistic. I mean, one guy asks to borrow money for rent, and he only asks for $1200. Puhleeeze, rent for anything in San Francisco is 4 times that.

Politics: The Final Frontier
I'd say 50/50. Of course, I didn't think there was any way in heck he would win after being caught on camera talking about grabbing women in the crotch, so what do I know?

Random Sales again
Ooh, that's a good one!

TV and Streaming: The Thread
Screwball on Netflix is possibly the best documentary I have ever seen. I mean, it is a great story, but the reenactments are just perfect.

I never take any thralls with me. They are for crafting and looking cool on the parapets.

Politics: The Final Frontier
Bingo. I suppose you can argue the Japanese internment camps were better because they didn't separate families, but I'd say they are both tragic and terrible parts of US History.

Politics: The Final Frontier
Eh, not worth it.

Age verification and account

Politics: The Final Frontier
They shift with every administration on a federal level. Of course, state and local laws are going to vary as well. https://www.pbs.org/weta/washingtonweek/blog-post/how-us-immigration-laws-have-changed-over-past-25-years

Politics: The Final Frontier
I know I have gone over this like a billion times, but it is not a criminal offense to be in the country illegally. It is civil. So yeah, it is also illegal to jaywalk. Also we are regularly shifting immigration laws in this country, so it shouldn't be a surprise that it is a complicated issue, instead of the black and white one so many people seem to think it is.

The Blockbuster Oscar Bait Movie Thread
I'm not sure about Endgame being garbage. I watched it at home recently, and it was an enjoyable bit of action. I mean, they were tying up a bunch of loose threads from multiple franchises that are all connected, so I think it deserves a fair bit of credit for not being a train wreck.

Politics: The Final Frontier
There is a pretty interesting history behind the Bracero program.

Where did you read it is an economy wrecker?

What you did Today: The Story of you
You should have sent a postcard back with a simple "tl;dr" I've always had bad handwriting. I hand write a ton of comments on projects and papers for students, and they often bring them up to me so I can decode the writing. But that also gives me a chance to talk it over with the students who care enough to find out. Ah, just a few more days until I get back in the classroom. I think I'm ready, it was a very restful summer.

My dad died today
My condolences daven. He is lucky he had someone like you checking on him and with him in the last moments.

What you did Today: The Story of you
That is terrible Bart, but it sounds like the kids are young enough to still have a shot at a normal life, hopefully with you.

Pictures of your games 12
Yeah, I still play it from time to time. It's still a blast to get around the maps, and the DC lore is great. It shows its age a bit, but not as bad as some of the games out there.

Politics: The Final Frontier
The rationale is that we are all responsible for making the world a better place. Empathy, self-awareness, humility, etc. What does it cost you?
