  1. That's sad. I couldn't breath the first time I saw the scene when they wake up in the hotel room. I still have trouble getting through it without cry laughing. Honestly it is second only to The IT Crowd Season 2 Episode 1 for me in terms of debilitating laughter.
  2. I don't really consider The Hangover a trilogy, either. The first one is totally self contained and wraps up every story thread by the end. The second one is really just a repeat in a new locale, and even abandons certain storylines from the first that were important (Heather Graham and the baby!) It doesn't work as well because it feels like it has been done before, but again it is self contained. It could almost have a different cast and still be the same movie. The 3rd totally loses sight of the fact it is a comedy, and becomes a weird anti-Vegas experience (when the first was more of a celebration.) It's a bit more of a sequel in terms of continuing storylines from the first, but they were all unnecessary. So yeah, I ignore it and just enjoy the original.
  3. Wait, people dislike the first Hangover? That's super sad. Although I'd give the writers and actors a fair amount of credit over the director.
  4. Eh, we will see if Dragon Age 4 can turn it around. That should be their wheelhouse.
  5. Yes it is.
  6. Ok, bit of comedy with my new place. I bought a dryer for $200 from a, acquaintance who works for a contractor. They had an extra one left from a job. He told me it was electric. It didn't have a 220 amp plug, which I thought was odd, but I'm no dryer expert and I figured new ones must not need the extra amps. I plugged it in and it ran, but without heat. I check all the fuses and everything seems fine, and then someone clues me into the fact it must be gas if it has a 110 plug. Now I need to bug the contractor to take it back or install a gas line. I mean, it is right next to the water heater, so gas should be a simple solution, but I don't want to blow anything up.
  7. I have a plumber coming today, since I figure any serious piping or electrical work is not worth me screwing up.
  8. So we finished moving out of our old place and are trying to settle into the new one. It is about 800 sq. ft. smaller and we are feeling it. Our California King barely fits in our bedroom. There are a lot of nice thing about the new place, but the rooms are small. Thankfully I've got the garage set up pretty well with a den, laundry area, and bike workstation. We are across the street from my local craft beer bar, so that might be trouble.
  9. Today I combined the remnants of 3 different bags of granola to get a bowl of cereal. Cranberry, Cinnamon Flax, and Quinoa Flax. It did the job.
  10. Eh, Bochy will find a way to keep the Giants in 3rd or 4th in the division. Arizona/Colorado/San Diego will find a way to underperform. Also Dodgers blew two WS chances, so I don't think 3rd time is a charm. I think Houston wins it, if I had to bet. No championship hangover this year. In the West I'd probably pick the Cubs to make the Series. Philly might make noise, but they probably need another year to blossom.
  11. Dirt - The Motley Crue autobiography was a blast. How is Nikki Sixx still alive?
  12. I'm kind of concerned about your writing process at this point.
  13. Best ktchong post ever.
  14. Is that all? I got the impression he had a bunch of other community service and donations that helped his case.
  15. Geez, doesn't even come with a gas hookup kit.
  16. So your saying he deserves his own talk radio show?
  17. I would say the Smollet case had reached the proper conclusion. Why waste money on prosecution and potential jail time? He ends up paying some money and is publicly shamed and written off his show. Seems like a pretty fitting resolution. Sure, some people are going to trump this as him being vindicated, but those people never would have believed he was guilty to begin with.
  18. Yeah, I don't get the resistance to automation. It should be viewed as a way to allow people to focus on the interaction aspects of customer service over rote tasks.
  19. possible the only good part 'bout growing up poor in the 80s is we couldn't afford all the horrible fashion nonsense which were the de rigueur. no flock o' seagulls hair. no parachute pants. no mesh anything. is thus no embarrassing 80s pictures o' Gromnir. more accurate, is no embarrassing 80s fashion pictures o' Gromnir. ... we did have a second-hand members only jacket. weird. HA! Good Fun! My parents bought me a Z Cavaricci t-shirt, since I couldn't afford the pants. It didn't work, middle school was rough. At least until I started playing hockey and solving problems with my fists.
  20. Hair loss remedy using bantha milk.
  21. My first impression is that this will be more action-y and less role player-y. Which is fine, I guess.
  22. Don't worry Shady, it gets a lot easier after the kid arrives.
  23. I started doing Yoga regularly about 5 years ago. Yoga with Adriene was a good way to get started, show runs through a lot of 30-day programs that are easy to follow. Now I typically just do my own routines, since I've got enough of a feel for it. I usually mix in a lot of pilates type body weight exercises as well to help with strengthening. I can get a solid session in with about 20 minutes, typically in between my classes. It also makes me way more focused and ready for the next group of students that come barging through the door.
  24. I tried the Epic store. It seems as functional as anything else. I installed a game and it played.
  25. Jim Rice once saved a child's life in the stands.
