That's a good question. I haven't been reading as much as I'd like to recently, and while the stories I've read have some appealing elements they're not totally happy happy joy worlds where I'd like to spend a year in.

100k years is a long time and we could indeed see some change. However I think natural selection for a superbeautiful genetic race is a bit out with plastic surgery, cosmetics etc. The rich will do jobs to look better, but that doesn't affect their genetic makeup unless they do designer babies and stuff.

Nowadays surfing at 128kbit/s is even worse than it was back then because most pages load tons of media (ie advertisement) content that assume the consumer's got a decent connection

I think to some degree it's schools not wanting to have ppl suing them for negligence in case **** happens. Who's fault? Probably grownups and the parents, media that overreact.

The first two are funny. Anyway satelite images are picking up increased activity in 2 NK spots. Plus I gotta agree that China's wary of a NK collapse because it could mean refugees heading for their border. That's probably what the walls they're constructing's for. Would still be poor form if they leave the refugees in poor conditions next to the walls.
