Choking on growth
I like the part where he's learned from the first official trip and gets the crew in before the official trip to do a special on the "river that turns from black to white overnight" lol.

Choking on growth
China's pollution is getting pretty scary. Plus it's hard to clear up with local government officials taking kickbacks and intimidating people that speak up. At least the pic with the psychedelic green looks nice. http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/14/world/as...nyt&emc=rss

President Ahmadinejad's Speech at Columbia University
I agree much with what you say. Although I must point out that I think what you're proposing here is a bit unrealistic. The US government would never allow any Muslim country to achieve certain level of developments. Be it through economic strangulations or military actions (this is an opinion and should only be treated as such). The US would never allow anything /anyone to threaten their hegemony. So even if we were to surrender Palestine and let Israel have their way, we won't ever be truly free to govern our own destiny. At the moment, we Muslims are a threat to the west. And I fear this is how it will remain for many more years to come. What do you think of China's projected rise to rival the USA?

Mask of the Betrayer Redux
Can the spirit shaman spontaneously convert spells to equiv summon creature spells? I'm doing a druid-wiz build now and the defensive and offensive casting is quite mind-blowing.

President Ahmadinejad's Speech at Columbia University
I think it's normal to do a best and worst case scenario analysis. But the "most likely" or "best estimate" is also important in making decisions. Some people (okay most people) go on the "best estimate" when making decisions on the future, but it's also important to consider the distribution and the best/worst case analysis too. For example most people don't just buy lottery tickets thinking it's equally likely, 50/50 they'll win the billion dollar jackpot. Their decisions are tempered by the realisation that it's very unlikely they'll win.

After you pick up the shard from the chest, talk to Bevel and teleport back to Daeghun or you can walk back. I'd recommend talking to Bevel.

Also tickets are finite and there aren't easy substitutes, at least to the fans.

Looks like energy companies from other countries besides China are in on the action. USA's Chevron and France's Total among them. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070929/ap_on_...H5lq7xzsPSs0NUE

It does. I think the argument most people have is where the consumer's surplus should go (difference between what buyer would be willing to pay, and what s/he pays). In the case of "resellers", the surplus goes to the reseller, instead of the band or the consumer keeping more of their money. A better solution would probably be the concert organizers themselves auctioning off most of the tickets. With the internets this should be easy to pull off.

China's got a "we don't tell you how to run things, we just have mutually profitable biz" kind of attitude. They're reaching into Africa, after energy resources and dealing with countries that the west has avoided. Darfur's another prominent example, but also in countries with questionable governments. I think this is why China usually deflects pressure from these places. They're after their energy and I suspect they're happy if they're the only ones that'll be doing biz with them - more for the Chinese.

Burma
It'll be interesting to see the impact on China. The comments I've read on this mentioned how China looks bad as the Junta's main backer (because they dig their energy reserves). Some have said China's pushing the Junta to keep violence down because people'd bitch at the Olympics about China's own problems and how they support dodgy governments.

Anime recommendations: Part 2
The Sasori fight was awesome, but now it's dragging. The Deidara chase is just painful to watch. Painful. I took the time to catch up to where the manga is now, so there def is some good stuff to look forward to eventually.
