I enjoyed Gurren Lagann despite it being a mecha anime. It's a bit cheesy too but funny and enjoyable. It's one of those animes where they go on spirit to succeed or "drill through the heavens" to quote them. Right now I'm watching stuff like Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Minami-ke and Bamboo Blade. When I get my USB down to my cousin's, I pick up his Naruto Shippuuden too. Kaiji was good but I'm a bit short on internets.

I'd be happy with a personal clone army of Maria Ozawa.

Heya all, I'm planning a semi-budget but decent rig. My target's low now with the option for upgrading later (I'll be getting a good Mobo?). I don't play the latest graphics intensive games like Bioshock etc, mostly RPGs like NWN2 etc, maybe Aliens if it's on PC. What kinda juice should I be aiming at?

The quest is interesting, but there's a lot of "come back tomorrow" stuff. That can be annoying as-is but coupled with the spirit meter, craving etc can be really annoying.

Having lived in a conservative society that frowns on miniskirts, bared shoulders etc and Western countries, I'd say the conservatives need to grow up. Hardly being virtuous and more moralistic, they're the ones that catwhistle, make lewd comments, generally be asshats about the women. In the West and Japan, ladies have freedom to do and wear what they want and are actually treated much better and with respect.

I guess she'll do her half-month and would be better off leaving the place anyway. I hope she doesn't get lashes, that'd be yucky. Tough on the kids though, which she genuinely wanted to help. Got to respect her for it, and it reflects badly on the locals the way they're treating genuine nice people that wanted to help them.

Happy b'day! I was at the tabletop game place and it was collectible card afternoon and full of people playing. I admit it's weird seeing a 24 yr old dude playing Pokemans against a 12 yr old. The same could happen in MTG or any other game I suppose, which is what I'm partial to.

I'm playing a sorc/arcane scholar of candlekeep. It's pretty fun running around casting improved empowered, maximized spells on the fly. Sorc really abuses it.

My family's good with each other. I'm heading back home after being away for a long time. Sending emails to everyone (we CC so it feels like a conversation) isn't the same, and people change after awhile so I want to get to know them again. It's the same with some of my closer friends like that. Looking forward to spending Christmas with them. After a year or two, I'll reevaluate where things are going and take things from there.
