Anybody tried Spice and Wolf yet? I'm catching up on Hayate and Rental Magica for the weekend.

A loud alarm that goes off usually would encourage burglars to leave, but not to break in in the first place. A katana does the latter.

I learned a manual but switched to auto after I got my license and haven't looked back since. For the rolling backward thing - I was told to have the handbrake on and slowly ease the gas/clutch until I feel the car shift slightly, then release the handbrake. The car should have enough to be still (against the hill) or slightly rolling forward. I think auto's gotten more fun to drive as new tech comes out. The acceleration from a standstill's much better now and the gear changing is smoother. As the computers get smarter the ride will keep getting better. Same with choosing which gear's optimal given the conditions and stuff. Plus personally I find not having to worry about gears frees up my attention for other things. Guess it's just a matter of what you're used to

I've been looking through some local price lists and I can't find a GA-965P-DS3. Instead I'm seeing things like Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3 with FSB 1333 and Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L. Is this a newer/older version?

Lotsa uni students take part time jobs in fast food places, gas stations, supermarkets and stuff. In uni towns those kinda jobs aren't looked down upon. As the other guys said, chances are the girl asking whether you'd like fries with my order's probably a lot smarter than I am and will go on to bigger and better things.

Even in a backward situation there'd be hubs of activity so places like Reno and San Fran made sense I think. Thing that'd suggest the Brotherhood's on the rise was in Tactics where they went on expanding, collecting and acquiring the capacity to manufacture tech they had as well as recruiting the tribals along with the original Brotherhood members.

After looking through some internets I came up with a rough draft for my next rig. It's a combo of a light-medium and medium gaming rig. I picked the mobo, power supply and graphics card of medium rig and the rest from the light-medium rig. Main use will be internets and watching animu, with occasional medium-light gaming like NWN2 sort of stuff. It'd be nice if I could play Aliens if it comes out on PC. My budget's around the numbers listed there, but I think I can squeeze out some (but not a lot of!) cash for little increases that'd make better sense. Here's the draft (sorry for the foreign currency): Processor AMD Athlon X2 4000+ (2.1Ghz, 2x 512K cache) Motherboard ATI690G based RAM 2x 1GB DDR2 667 Hard Disk 2x non-Sata 180Gig (I already have this) Graphics ATI HD3870 Monitor 15" lcd (already have this) Casing Basic casing Power Supply 450w Audio Device Speakers Philips SHP8900 headphones Key/mouse Optical drive DVD-RW Total RM2300 ~ USD689.63 Is getting the better mobo and graphics card awesome or do I need to worry about compatibility issues? The processor's 2x 512K Cache while the mobo can fit a 2x 1M Cache. Also is getting a 450w power supply worth it? I'm also wary of my non-sata hard disks, but I may be able to solve those with some IDE cable magic. Heard it's possible but I'm not sure on the details... Noise is a slight concern for me. I'd be willing to spend a bit more on things that can quieten down the system (heat sinks?) without too much of an overhaul or too much extra cash. Comments are definitely welcome and appreciated. Sorry for my thoughts being all over the place too The selections are made because of my budget range but I'm all ears! Hopefully picking a better mobo will give me more upgrade options in a few years time. Basically I'm willing to wait things out - I'm not a huge gamer.

I enjoyed HotU the most of the NWN1 saga. Some nice stories and roleplaying, and the engine was probably as robust as it was as the last of the saga. I think saving Aribeth and getting her as my soulmate was as good closure as I could have wished for.
