  1. I woke up at 2.30pm, had some coffee and Korean instant noodles and now am heading for a bath.
  2. To me, there are 2 parts of Buddhism. The philosophical part which is cool (how to lead your life) and the religious part which has assumptions on the afterlife/reincarnation, karma accounting, the laws over karma accounting and interaction with spirits etc. Anyone who says Buddhism is just a philosophy and not a religion is kidding you.
  3. Most of the intelligent people I've met are religious, whether they're Buddhist or Christians. I haven't really met the hardcore asshat Christians out there, which others like to think gives them the right to to be asshats to other Christians.
  4. I dunno why but I prefer narrow buildings that go up like towers (Durlag's, IWD1's Hand, tree trunks!) than things that go down into the ground like sprawling dungeons (sewers, caves, crypts).
  5. In a party of 6 I usually like 2 fighters (fighter, barb, paladin etc), an arcane user (sorc, wiz), a cleric, a druid and a thief.
  6. Hi, I'll slip my problem in here: After I tell Hlam that Khelgar's completed each quest, I don't get the option to convert Khelgar into a monk. I've been fiddling with rs kr_roster_edit to and increased the party limit, so that may be the problem. How do I fix it? Another thing - during the night solitude before the fight, after Hlam's shown me my room (after Khelgar), the cutscenes where party members come to talk to you didn't load up until I included Qara into the party. My guess is it's related to me having fun with the kr_roster_edit thing.
  7. Actually I read a comic where 2nd coming Jesus was cloned to fight vampires, with his ninja skills and divine powers. Battle Jesus wasn't too happy when he found out he was cloned.
  8. Btw hold on a sec. How many projects does Obsidian have running? And we know two are likely to be Alien and a NWN2 expansion.
  9. They'll probably have something like 1st place prize: 1 year contract with Obsidian! * *Not applicable for Hades.
  10. Good points. I think this is one area where the devs can show their ingenuity at exploiting D&D rules/combos to take down higher level characters, using coordinated AI and strategy. If anything it could be too hardcore and casual players may start wondering why the game's so tough.
  11. If you read, Punisher has great respect for Capt. When Capt surrendered as Steve Rogers (not Capt) to the Registration Act, Punisher was there to pick up the mask. Plus Punisher's taken out B-grade criminals with snipers, regular fragging (in the stunned/shock period) and poisoned and blew up a whole bar where a bunch of criminals gathered at a funeral. Class. Civil War's given me respect for Iron Man, and maybe showed me that Capt, Namor and Black Panther ain't that lame.
  12. Signed.
  13. From voting?
  14. An assumption we seem to be taking for granted is the voting public is educated and rational enough to decide what issues are important. Frequently they're not and are susceptible to low-brow tactics and favour short sighted decisions. Ideally there'd be a free, informed and responsible press that would certainly help, and a good education system in place but that's not the case for developed countries, much less developing ones.
  15. I find being as mean as I can to Grobnar strangely satisfying.
  16. My friend got a +10 healing kit from Judge Olef in the Church, but I haven't tried much otherwise. I did pump Kip's pickpocketing and Skill Focus: Sleight of Hand but he didn't get anything from people at the village fair. I know the devs said IWD2 had some funky items that you could only get by pickpocketing, but I ain't sure if NWN2's the same.
  17. I'd like to hear more from Giuliani, McCain, Hillary and Obama on where they stand on a variety of international, domestic and economic issues before deciding. I'm not sure where the impression that Hillary's a little extreme came from, but I think it's starting to stick.
  18. More planeswalking please!
  19. Depends if we have natural central defenders. Last night's FA Cup was quite exciting for the wrong reasons.
  20. I think a significant problem of politics nowadays is rulers find it politically difficult to implement projects with long-term payoffs even if they're the right thing to do. That's because in the short term it takes resources and could be unpopular (affecting their reelection) and the payoff only kick in when they're no longer around. Maybe worse, somebody else claims the credit for their work.
  21. We might get to play Liverpool in the semis again lol.
  22. Some of the bloodiest are against civilians in civilian settings like markets and processions.
  23. Wouldn't you lose the affect after you've attacked?
  24. The real threat of having you, and everyone you know and your camel killed ain't exactly an environment which promotes feelings of safeness.
