Total War: Warhammer
ohh allright I'll bite. Installing now. I've gotten very little mileage out of my game purchases lately, hoping for a better outcome.

Is this both the warhammer and total war game we have been wanting ?

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
Theres a fallout DLC out in 2 days. A propper one this time with a new area. Point Lookout part two by the looks of it. Not so sure sure about any of of them. Bethesda seems to have lost their Fallout mojo. Can't put my finger on it exactly but I don't think I will be installing it again.

VR Gaming (Rift, Vive, etc)
It's supposed to be a lot better now than the early oculus SDK, but yeah one should definitely try one out before thinking about getting one. As for the mainstream breakthrough. I dunno, still waiting for the AAA VR titles. We kinda needed someone to come up with a handful of killer apps that would drive adaption. So far it hasn't happened.

Just downloaded torment tides of numenera
I'll play it when it's done, whenever that is. I've had enough early access to last me a lifetime.

- Nvidia Pascal to launch in June
Regarding AMD vs Nvidia it's fair to remember that Nvidia is consistently better at performance per watt whereas AMD is consistently pushing their chips right to the edge resulting in very power hungry cards. Anyway it's best to have no brand loyalty and just judge each chip lineup on its own merits.- Nvidia Pascal to launch in June
Yeah nobody likes the Batmobile very much so far. Waiting for AMD to weigh in in september was it. I wonder how genuine their 'VR' rating numbers are- The Funny Things Thread

- What You Did Today
Today might have been the first day of summer. Thank you global warming. Celebrated by buying an expensive lamp. Now I have buyer's remorse, and a nice lamp.- HBO Game of Thrones Season 6!
I was hopeful, untill I saw him all laid out like Frankenstein on the table, then it was obvious he was comming back with witch magic rather than as some sort of animal. What I wouldn't give to have Charles Dance back and emo Lord Commander out. Roose Bolton seemed like a thoroughly depraved individual, he was the one who orchestrated the red wedding, not someone who would not see a crude plot like that forming a mile away.- Dead Island 2
They are going to ruin it with leveling and multiplayer like all the other games like it, you can count dying light here. lv19 can't use a lv 20 crowbar, I have no time for that anymore. Multiplayer with matchmaking and no server browser is potentially fun but rarely ever in reality, add to that all the tropes that are hallmarks of a multiplayer design, none of which are any good for immersion. meh..- Total War: Warhammer
I suppose I'll give it a go. Feels like they are in no way changing their minds about making it a platform for DLC ripoffs though. Chaos bit them in the ass so they had to give it away for free, but other races, these are still things you are going to need, not cosmetics and more than likely they will be 19,9999 £ a piece.- HBO Game of Thrones Season 6!
The format is starting to grind on me a bit. Ever since the beginning it's been 15 mins here and 15 mins there with an occasional special episode like the siege of the wall and Kings Landing. 15 mins is long enough to yank you away just as you are starting to get interested in that storyline. I think I'll wait until I have a handful of episodes to catch up on.- Josh Sawyer plans to develop a historical RPG after Project Louisiana
You can't let cosplayers ruin steampunk for you, that's absurd. Anyway there is more than one way to skin a cat. It's basically just reimagined technolgy, Bioshock infinite, Dishonoured, Arcanum, whathaveyou, that is heavily influencing the setting. I'm all for a properly themed historical setting where Lenardo Da Vinci/Benjamin Frankin/Nicola Tesla don't show up as questgiving NPCs by the way.- Build Thread 2.0
So the whining and popping stopped. Now the fans just go all the time in games and it's cooling itself enough not to make extra noise. The fans are kinda annoying since everything else in the case is new and operating quietly and effectively, but since they only go in games I'm usually blasting sound out of my speakers or headphones anyway. I wonder why it took so long to change its mode of operation.- Build Thread 2.0
Anyone have a better suggestion than the 750 W version of this ? http://www.seasonicusa.com/G-series-450-550-650.htm- Build Thread 2.0
My PSU started making a lot of noise in games having installed the GFX card, it's drawing more power obviously and the components are making vibration and popping noises, it sounds like an analogue modem or something, regarless of whether the fans are going. This must be the dreaded coil whine and It's much more noticable than with my previous GPU. No fix for that other than getting another.- Build Thread 2.0
Well, I paid more for that SSD than the GFX, I'm getting the heatsink version of the PCI 3.0x4 mode card for the m.2 and I will be laughing maniacally while loading everything seconds before everyone else !!!- Build Thread 2.0
I did not expect to be able to run out of PCIe lanes and effective x16 speed at all, but apparently that's quite doable while adding an m.2 to a PCIx16 slot. because of the way the MB swaps around bandwith. http://superuser.com/questions/1020268/does-m-2-ssd-card-mess-with-pci-express - Nvidia Pascal to launch in June
