  1. Well, this would be the time to do it. Trump being a trainwreck already and all.
  2. The markup on anything electronic by resellers is beyond stupid. For an example I bought a refrigerator (for a little over 800 euros) and the price difference between the highest and lowest price was almost 300 euros, they all have the same importer. I even managed to drop the price by 50 euro by calling, after I ordered, to say that I found it cheaper at another place, which means that they are still making sizable profit. When I bought my ultrawide monitor there were 2 versions, one with thunderbolt and the other without. Guess which one was more expensive...the one without the thunderbolt. Why? Because it was a model that came out after the one with thunderbolt. This shows how stupid the price markups are and how little sense they make. They will raise the price to whatever the people are willing to pay, and with electronics it goes to another level... Best bet is to by from the importer if you can or through a reseller without a brick and mortar shop. Umm Amazon, Ebay ? In the EU you pay VAT in the country you order from. I dunno if Greece slapped another tax on electronic goods but it's not the norm. I don't understand how prices could vary by that much between EU countries.
  3. I'm kinda curious why you call it 'occupied Crimea' and not 'the Russian federation', slip of the keyboard ?
  4. ohh Well get an external GPU and a middle of the road laptop and free yourself from laptop pricing. It's all the rage. Has anyone seen benchmarks for those. Kinda curious about doing that myself.
  5. Unless you mean cards produced by Nvida, which you probably do.
  6. GTX 1060 is down to to 2200 kr. 350 bucks, give or take. Must have been low availability. So, yeah take a drive to Copenhagen.
  7. You have no idea how this works at all. Really. Why don't you enlighten me how the supreme court gets to set asside the constitution. What could really happen is that the state of whatever passes a law requiring more stringent background checks and psychological tests and so on, there is a lawsuit and it ends up in the supreme court. The supreme court gets to enterpret the constitution and you will still have your 2nd ammendment, as well as some sensible gun laws, hypotheticallly speaking.
  8. The supreme court doesn't make amendments to the constitution. They get to set legal precedent, not much leeway there to ban guns. The 2cond amendment people are just generally paranoid about baby steps leading towards increased gun control. Which is not the same at all as banning guns.
  9. It would take some kind of miracle to break the NRA influence in congress. As for actually making amendments to the constitution, for Hillary to actually spend any political capital on a lost cause like that... She's not stupid remember, just corrupt.
  10. Bush and Clinton, two presidencies a piece from the same family. Those odds ought to be like winning the lottery. Clearly that is not the case. Pretty stark demonstration of just how exclusive a club those with political power belong to.
  11. So it's Hillary. Relieved and dissapointed at the same time.
  12. Human revolution - was that it ?, the next Deus Ex is out in a week. Good RPGs are few and far between these days, so fingers crossed anyway.
  13. Can I nevertheless use this opportunity to state again how ****ty the dialouge wheel is.
  14. Reviews don't matter as long as the movie is popular, Ghostbusters had the trailer shot down, everyone hated it and that was pretty fatal for its earning potential. In a fit of brilliant inspiration they blamed the twitter trolls and at least something was salvaged from the mess.
  15. It's probably because you are sexist. No, it's the twitter trolls, they retroactively made the movie bad.
  16. Best spot in Copenhagen for my money, nothing beats proper italian icecream.
  17. Ben & Jerry's is a horrible icecream. They took chocolate cookies and mushed them into what was probably quite servicable chocolate ice cream at one point and now I have a frozen lump of suggary putty. The nougat one is even worse. How is this a brand.
  18. But is she more criminal than the norm for a washington power broker, or does she just stand out because she got caught.
  19. The context is 'proven in a court of law'. Hitler could have won that case is what I'm saying. Unless you insist that the guy who was in charge bears responsibility nomatter what, this is where the comparison with Milosovic comes in.
  20. I disagree. He was careful only to make insinuations. The whole aperatus of Nazi government was set up to compete with itself, people would interpret his directives differently and use them for their own gain. He did order Commisars shot in the general orders for operation Barbarossa and I'm sure there are plenty of other examples of that sort, just not the Holocaust. He didn't want to put his involvement in that on paper.
  21. Surprising I guess. I mean, I don't think he's innocent of war crimes or knowledge thereof, but I can believe that such was not proven in a court of law. You could make a very strong case that Hitler was not aware of the Holocaust and that he never gave any direct orders. Milosevic is not Hitler, that's not what I'm saying either.

  23. The media appears to be collectively shafting Trump, that's what you get for manhandling journalists. I put money on Clinton 8 months ago and I'm optimistic on collecting.
  24. Exchange Mexicans for Communists and he's like a dumber Reagan. Even after the Altzhermer's
  25. I dunno about that. Very different situations. Besides it's mostly the Russians bombing in support of Assad isn't it. The coalition is trying to hit IS. Lots of civilians getting caught up in the mix. Those that haven't fled yet. The US gained next to nothing by all the ordinance expended over Vietnam, the same could be true for it's efforts against IS, if that's the insinuation then I agree.
