  1. Another day another bit of craziness
  2. The enemy would break off and return to a patrol pattern somewhere off in another direction. The AI doesn't know where the fight started just that is was supposed to be somewhere else. Usually happens after the companions attack and are killed.
  3. Got 5 hrs or so out of Technomancer. The spawning started to annoy me and the thing where the enemy walks too far away and instantly regains all his health. My party was cramping my style completely. I had stealth upgraded and it never worked, I suspect because of the two idiots with zero stealth skill trying to sneak after me. Couldn't dump them either.
  4. Ted Cruise is by far the most punchable of any of them. So I'm told he committed political suicide and that I might not have to look at his face again. yay.
  5. I suppose I'll just play rogue then, except their tree looks pretty weak. +1% this and that for advancing agility. Kinda pointless.
  6. Can't really argue with that, haven't played it myself. Heard a lot of nagging about it though.
  7. Haven't played it but it's not that well liked. It's a shooter with tanking, bullets whittle away at the enemy's health bar instead of killing them. What you can expect from a cover based console shooter with PVP elements I guess.
  8. Learning curve is pretty steep, still trying to figure out if I'm supposed to switch stances during combat. I mean it would make sense to shoot your force lightning and then empty your gun, all I seem to wind up doing is pressing dodge and spamming fast attack like Witcher 3.
  9. Never even realised it was a sequel to Mars Wars. Alright, they got my money.
  10. Spotted my first hunting party in the wild, group of teenagers breaking into a run staring into their phones. App idea came to me : Capture pokemon go players trying to capture a pokemon. If you do it before they capture the pokemon you get a bonus.
  11. The suggestion is that whatever extra would be missing from other charities because money spent on charity is usually pretty fixed. 'unnecessarily cynical' is a pretty accurate description of my attitude to most things btw.
  12. Kind of missing the point there. The more people you get using the app, the more corporate sponsors the app creator is going to be able to attract. Look up how freerice.com works if you are still skeptical about this stuff. I'd imagine it is using the same model and people have dissected that one pretty fully. I'm suggesting that it's still a zero sum game nomatter who gets the money.
  13. Well those corporate sponsors are going to give what they are going to give and I'm pretty confident that that number doesn't vary very much on the budget. It's not like you can save the world by having everyone's walking sponsored. The well is going to run dry.
  14. Any relation to Yodorowsky
  15. How is this different than giving money to your chosen charity, without another middleman before the money gets where it is supposed to be.
  16. How does walking generate money exactly, or growing a beard raise awareness for cancer.
  17. Can't upgrade my Android to the version it needs unless I load a ROM because Samsung. Not entirely confident about doing that. Anyway I would feel awkward because well, if I'm honest I hated pokemon back when it was a thing. Not a lot of nostalgia factor for me. I think I'll catch a lets play, just so I can feel part of the phenomenon. It feels indistinguishable from going through the bother of actually playing to me these days, and you can say you did, who's gonna know.
  18. You do kinda wonder at the logic. Do they think this will mean less black youths getting killed by police or more.
  19. It's not out for the Iphone.
  20. I dunno. I'm not sure I believe there is systemic racism to the degree postulated by BLM. I detect a certain level of hysterics and hyperbole. The shooting of unarmed black men does seem to happen with alarming regularity though. Maybe it's just that there is a cameraphone recording it every time now. And they are of course entirely within their rights to protest and you can't put the actions of, for lack of a better term, insane people on them.
  21. Burning of the Reichstag, who knows.
  22. Detaining the president doesn't necessarily work. Remember Chavez. Maybe it's smarter to marginalize him. Besides if you detain the president you are if not admiting to then at least signaling an unlawful coup. In Thailand they just declare martial law and that parliament has been disolved pending elections.
  23. A coup usually comes down to psychology. After the shock does the country believe that this is the new normal ? Erdogan doesn't have a lot of friends to call on, just cronies. Still, I am reminded of Venezuela, and of course they do this kind of thing every other year in Thailand and no one ever bats an eye. Calling for people to protest, that doesn't inspire confidence at all. It must mean he is weak.
  24. When you try to please everybody you very rarely come up with anything interesting, but it is a success and that unfortunately means no more Fallout RPG in the sense we understand the word. Fallout is basically that band you used to love until they sold out and went all commercial. They had meant and hoped to have wider appeal all along but you don't like them anymore because they aren't true to their roots. I'm off the Fallout train personally, but I'm sure Bethesda is laughing all the way to the bank.
