Went to see the new Guardians. It's nice to see Kurt Russel still at it, other than that, meh. Better than all the other Marvel stuff, but that's not really saying that much. No regrets, pretty solid for what it is.

All all the enemies black swirly things and what are the mudcrabs from Half Life called... Sounds a bit one note.

The Fallout basebuilding does nothing though. It's all cosmetic, slapped on in response to the success of Skyrim mods and Minecraft. The settlement defence missions are totally uninteresting. The main story is broken, specifically it's faction alliances that should make certain things impossible but do not. They have made no attempt to fix it. Probably realising that it would take too long.

The last Bioshock wasn't that good. I mean I could play a decent System Shock clone, if that's what it is. I'll wait for more real world opinions

That's how they do.

There aren't any good guys in the Greek pantheon. They are all selfish and toy with humans for their own satisfaction.

The Displayport listing is incorrect, it's DVI dual link. Bastards. Almost ordered. Read somewhere that having both Radeon and Nvidia will cause problems with physx not to mention the usual driver mismatch that can happen if you don't remove drivers before swapping cards around.

I don't care about their shenanigans one way or the other, is the game good - that's what matters. Bethesda still has a decent track record. Pray might be good, I'll make up my mind in a couple of weeks I guess.

This one is less than half the price of the Thunderbolt cable alone and no fan on it. Score. Wonder if I have room though. http://www.pricerunner.dk/pi/37-3204272/Grafikkort/Gigabyte-GV-N710SL-1GL-Produkt-Info

Does the card itself need to be k4 capable, because I'm not sure those older Radeons are.
-
Nope, they're all expensive.

ohh I think I might have an excuse to buy a passively cooled one. Always wanted one.

Nevermind that's a crossfire thing.

Mine just has the one. HDMIx3 and DVI. Board has DVI , HDMI and VGA. What other card though. How does that work. When do you get signal out of a graphics card, I assume it can't be any old card. I have a Radeon somethingorother in a box with a DisplayPort on it. Maybe a cheap physx card. Is that still a thing. Another 1070 would be too cramped for airflow not to mention expensive. Displayport 1.2 runs 4k 60hrz as well I should think, it's what my monitor has, on a splitter it's probably not cost effective to boost the signal to 60 hrz on the output as well. How about a littlebrother SLI card. What's the cheapest I can get away with. That way I would be upgrading as well. In principle anyway.

Here's a challenge for you. Any way to make another Displayport option out of HDMI 2.0 connectors. The point being 4k at 60 hrz. Or two displayports out of one for that matter. (i know the latter is possible with a spliter but you lose 4k 60 hrz in the only ones I was able to find) The point being to add another displayport option to my GTX 1070. It's the only way I can have my digitizer and main display at 4k 60 hrz. My monitor is stuck with HDMI 1.4 Unless... I can run it through the display in daisy chain. Nope, no out option. http://www.club-3d.com/index.php/products/reader.en/product/displayport-12-to-hdmi-20-uhd-active-adapter.html ^^ that's the wrong way though. Its for connecting your PC to say a 4k TV. Gender changer x2, one on each end. I think not. The only other option is a thunderbolt 3 Pcie card. The thunderbolt cable (40 gbs) gets very expensive at its maximum length of two meters, add to that the cost of the PCIe card. One meter from the back of the PC to my digitizer does not make for comfortable sitting. Displayport PCIe card, does that exist, can you use two graphics cards at the same time. Maybe a barebones one will give me what I need. To be continued. Edit : that would be two different display drivers active at the same time. Too far out of the box I should think.

The terms 'white people' and 'black people' are kinda meaningless anyway. What can one say that applies to all the people in those subsets. Not much.

The context is different though, I mean if you have the memory of being lynched by the clan. That's part of the context of (I can't believe I know the ones I used was weak sauce cept cracker, they were used as examples. The thing is u can flip the word and instead of "damn there's a bunch of Whitey's in here" is acceptable, but "damn there's a bunch of darkeys in here" is not acceptable right? That's what makes it confusing because it seems like a double standard. There is historical context, specifically the cultural memory of being lynched, repression and so on. That's why whitey is so anemic. There aren't really those types of memories associated with it.

Yeah but crackers don't generally care.

...Uh, actually, a billion is a thousand times a million, not a million times a million. That would be a trillion. In British English, a billion used to be equivalent to a million million (i.e. 1,000,000,000,000), while in American English it has always equated to a thousand million (i.e. 1,000,000,000). This is my fig leaf, I will cling onto it determinedly.

I dunno, nothing. What's going to stop racism ? I mean until we have all interbred enough to be the same colour, and when that happens we will think of something else. Some other reason to hate each other.

How large a percentile of African Americans support reparations, and how many of those just wouldn't say no to a cheque. Can you really make the broad assumption that 'they complain about it'. Does 'they' mean a majority, how large is that majority.
