I see a couple of regulars on my train ride to work, begging. Money in it if you're good at it, have a friendly dog for a prop. all tax free and more than they would make holding down a job. I have a 1070 and I find myself playing one or two notches below 4k in new games because it lets me max out everything else. 4k even on medium is kinda choppy. I can't really tell the difference most of the time. Resolution isn't everything. I'd rather have a stable framerate. Older less demanding games you can play though. Borderlands 2 looks gorgeous in 4k.
