A while I heard an loud bang as I accidentally yanked the monitor connector out of the graphics card connector while the power was on. The box shut down and I though that was that, the computer must be fried. There was even a visible scorch mark and the smell of burnt plastic. Oddest thing is it started up as if nothing had happened. It shouldn't be possible to create a short that way at all, which only ads to the mystery.

Since this is a spy game they should steal from hitman where you can use an enemy as hostage/cover. Something tells me you are not going to be able to go full Jack Bauer and torture or execute everyone you meet.

This is one of those games that friends of mine are wild about, and I can't fathom the reason Why. I liked the voice acting and humor for some of the missions in San Andreas, but fantastic, hardly. Least of all when you are in a gun battle on foot, and the ammo and weapon pickups are giant man sized swirly things. Another thing is that you shoot with a mouse. You can drive with a gamepad that works well, but shoot. Doesn't work.

yes, but that doesn't work very well because the free camera pan is at blinding speed and there is no way to lower it without also lowering mouse speed to a crawl.

I believe that basically noone knows anything. Obsidian is working on implementing the DRM thing into a patch, but we don't know whether it will make it in 1.13 (which shouldn't be much longer I think) or a later one. Would be nice if they could replace the patch mess with just one integrated patch in Westgate. I just tried reinstalling NWN 2 and mask of the betrayer. Apparently you have to do that in a special order, I upgraded after installing NWN, then installed Mask and autoupdated some more. The camera improvements aren't there, but the game version looks correct. Why no one thought of using the right mouse button to pan the camera is beyond me. Instead there is a useless drop down menu, but thats another matter.

Helo is definately more pretty face than actor, seems to be the rule for all the pilots in the show.

I get his point though, the miniseries and doubleheaders, flight of the phoenix, res ship, worked so much better because they weren't so concerned with cramming everything down to 30 mins. You feel it, as in the cylon civil war, which is done in 5 mins and needed more. The constant cliffhangers might sell more ad space, but they are annoying as hell. Every time you think something is going to happen you realize that theres only 5 mins left and nothing much is going to happen after all.
