The US is now the world leader in new low emission technologies, unfortunately its ambitions do not stretch very far beyond energy self sufficiency. It is not interested in signing up to any kind of emmission quotas that will have a tangible cost, especially not in the middle of a recession. The US is still the world's greatest polluter per capita, although China and India may be set to take the crown in the not too distant future. It's a positive development on the whole no doubt, but lets not mistake practicality for ideology. The focus on the technologies of the future started in the early days of the Bush administration, which should the the only proof needed that the motive here is one of national interest. Unless these clean technologies are going to be cheaper than the old ones, there isn't much hope that they are going to be embraced by the developing world though.

Kara is the one who led them to the eventuality of the attack on the cylon hub, so it makes sense that it would somehow be a momentous mistake.

It's strong acting through and through, and it's got a sort of 1980-90s urban culture feel to it, pay phones and pagers, corruptuion alive and well. Like before they 'cleaned up' NY, although the setting is present day. I watched a few episodes that dealt with the murder of a young woman who was a witness/informant. It was very touching.

I dunno, maybe the cylon resurrection hub contains something important to human reproduction as well as cylon resurrection.

Mmm.. I just pondered something, what I think would be a nice twist. What if the destruction of the human race consists in the ability to reproduce passing from human to cylon. This would then be tied somehow with the cylons losing their ability to download. I think I like the percentages of this really being the case.

I did think that Athena shooting her was not sufficiently justified, or maybe Grace Park's acting muscles are just not as fit as the rest of her.

A while I heard an loud bang as I accidentally yanked the monitor connector out of the graphics card connector while the power was on. The box shut down and I though that was that, the computer must be fried. There was even a visible scorch mark and the smell of burnt plastic. Oddest thing is it started up as if nothing had happened. It shouldn't be possible to create a short that way at all, which only ads to the mystery.

Since this is a spy game they should steal from hitman where you can use an enemy as hostage/cover. Something tells me you are not going to be able to go full Jack Bauer and torture or execute everyone you meet.

This is one of those games that friends of mine are wild about, and I can't fathom the reason Why. I liked the voice acting and humor for some of the missions in San Andreas, but fantastic, hardly. Least of all when you are in a gun battle on foot, and the ammo and weapon pickups are giant man sized swirly things. Another thing is that you shoot with a mouse. You can drive with a gamepad that works well, but shoot. Doesn't work.

yes, but that doesn't work very well because the free camera pan is at blinding speed and there is no way to lower it without also lowering mouse speed to a crawl.

I believe that basically noone knows anything. Obsidian is working on implementing the DRM thing into a patch, but we don't know whether it will make it in 1.13 (which shouldn't be much longer I think) or a later one. Would be nice if they could replace the patch mess with just one integrated patch in Westgate. I just tried reinstalling NWN 2 and mask of the betrayer. Apparently you have to do that in a special order, I upgraded after installing NWN, then installed Mask and autoupdated some more. The camera improvements aren't there, but the game version looks correct. Why no one thought of using the right mouse button to pan the camera is beyond me. Instead there is a useless drop down menu, but thats another matter.

When is westgate comming out, anyone in the loop ?

They lied when they said Kara was 'really dead'. No reason Olmos' contract can't be one too.

Helo is definately more pretty face than actor, seems to be the rule for all the pilots in the show.

Maybe she will provide the cylon surprise
