  1. Who are you talking about anyway? Snot boogie, they killed snot boogie man.
  2. They are the favorites now, but anything can happen in the KO phase.
  3. A terrorist campaign can only succeed in making the current power structure look ineffective and weak. It's a PR game basically. The theory then suggests that the population are so repulsed by draconian counter terrorism measures that they eventually side with the terrorists against the goverment. This has never actually happened. The problem here is that you can get used to anything, even terror bombs. A guerrilla campaign on the other hand can win simply by outlasting and surviving until all the pieces fall into place and it is in a position to capitalize. Castro fought the greater part of his campaign with a few hundred men.
  4. hahhahaaha... woot. Holland again.
  5. no, i'm not. not at all. you just don't get it - all forms of socialism are tyrannical, the only difference between socialism and communism is that communism lies to you by stating that some day you won't need the oppressive government, i.e., communism's stated goal is utopia. taks Calling an elected form of government in an informed democracy 'tyrannical' is opinion, not fact.
  6. The Irish no forces the EU to move ahead slowly and democratically, this is preferable I think. Merely having the parliaments ratify the treaty can't be considered democratic, politicians aren't exactly an accurate sample of the population.
  7. By the way Taks is mistaking Socialism for Communism this time. Some one has to, it's tradition after all.
  8. The bureaucracy is for making money, don't kid yourselves. Integrated markets and legislation. Theres no way on earth the EU is ending up a planned economy.
  9. Armed forces the world across tremble at the mere thought of a citizen militia
  10. I think it's more that a ludicrously sized gun paints a better caricature of the 'enthusiast' who has enough firepower to overthrow a small African nation.
  11. Because it's the biggest gun out there, why else.
  12. Orb and Hegemonia looked good and played horribly by the way.
  13. I have Sins, I tried playing a tutorial and lost interest almost immediately. On top of that its been 3 weeks of my account web page saying i'm good to go, and the game saying that my account doesn't exist. I never heard of Jupiter, I don't suppose theres a demo.
  14. I mostly want to see Homeworld 3 because theres no other game in town. Honestly, early disruption is a key part of any RTS. Frigs are useless unless they are massed and hit before the most heavy stuff arrives, and a frig rush is hard, except maybe a vagyr one. Recalling wings only works if you are winning, otherwise it just speeds your demise. I don't mind either of these things. It's still very satisfying to blow the other guy's shipyard before he can get anything out of his massive investment. If anything the super heavy ship classes come too soon in HW2. Is it as good as Homeworld, no way, but like I said theres no other game in town.
  15. You would only need to have NWN2 to play any adon, surely. The OC was miles behind Mask of The Betrayer, which felt a lot more like a complete game. Odd that, but it's worth getting just for Mask. Assuming it's somewhat cheaper now.
  16. I didn't think HW2 was so terrible. I played it loads online. I dunno about the single player, that never interested me.
  17. I don't see any tomatoes, this is a hoax.
  18. http://www.geocities.com/zhentar2003/toril_2.jpg Its a little better when viewed as a whole. It looks like proto-earth, I wonder if thats intentional.
  19. Are there two adons, or is this just westgate renamed ?
  20. I think you would have to show that the shooting related deaths resultant from every one being armed would end up being less than those of the maniac killing sprees.
  21. This looks interesting.
  22. Yes the guy in the opening link obviously had some wires crossed. Nothing much to do about violent maniacs. Either they don't show symptoms or the infrastructure to deal with them is just not present. Walsh is on the money there I suppose, but I think achieving a level of readiness that would prevent these occurrences would require an extremely invasive apparatus. We are talking Orwellian in size here, not merely welfare state.
  23. Whoha Holland, I'll be rooting for them from now on. First match without dull patches
  24. Not offside, the situation was between two Italians, the goalie and the defender. The goalie pushed his own man off the field. You can't just jump or be pushed by your own side outside the pitch and prevent a goal against you by having a new last man like that. The rules are specific on this point, as I'm sure will be pointed out after the match plenty of times.
