  1. Is this in response to the myth about video game violence witch is nevertheless also a really good vote magnet.
  2. Great.... I ****ing love games that are thinly disguised giant shopping malls.
  3. If there is no prompt to change your password when you log in normally then I'd say it sounds suspect. Bioware stores credit card information for its monopoly money system, so being extra careful is in order.
  4. There are a few options for softwareing your way there, but those cripple speed, other than that a UK proxy, which costs money.
  5. Most BBC web programming is only available for UK IP ranges, this is no exception.
  6. There is no valid point to chaos, that's kinda the definition.
  7. I think it's kind of cool, I mean as long as there is no profit involved and sort of an activist agenda going on. Hopless romantic when it comes to antiestablishmentarianism, what can I say. You need a little chaos in the system, not because it's good in and of itself, but because you would definately miss it if it wasn't there.
  8. Ohh good, I thought we were going to have undead Carl Drogo as a major character with even less room for acting finesse.
  9. This is no laughing matter
  10. I would rather have them be killable in hard mode.
  11. So it really wouldn't bother you if people started lining up coke on the counter ?
  12. So Dungeon Siege is out. Looks Diablo/Torchlightish http://store.steampowered.com/app/901638/
  13. Just sucking at the internet.
  14. Hopefully the poll works this time.
  15. Coke used to be the definition of hip. It took a drug war and the elevation of prudishness to virtue combined with the fear of violent crime during the Reagan years to change it. An actual drug war fought among other places in Miami as popularized by Miami Vice, not just a silly label.
  16. Well it's pretty obvious that all drugs are not the same, not equally dangerous. I also don't think you can be addicted to cannabis at all. You can be addicted to a certain lifestyle, or it can function like a psychological band aid, as cigarettes often do, but there are no withdrawal symptoms. Coffee on the other hand, I have to have mine or i get the shakes and a killer headache.
  17. You don't seem to be able to differentiate between hard and soft drugs, it sort of removes a few layers of finesse from the discussion. There are plenty of good reasons why heroin shouldn't be legal, not so hash. And no, what the majority wants is not the guiding principle of democracy. The majority get their way, unless it infringes on the civil rights of the minority, that's one reason they don't hang black folk in the South anymore. Just as a forinstance.
  18. No, the majority has no right to deny a minority whatever they chose do with their leisure time without a real reason.
  19. The latter and the former will be completely ineffective you mean. Hash has become illegal through historical accident more than anything else, and government should stop trying to parent adults capable of making informed decisions. It really is much too late for that. If a drug policy existed that took only into account the relative danger of various drugs and made the worst of them illegal, I would support it, but it's not based on science, it's almost entirely about public opinion.
  20. I support legalization, the only real problem I see is with the new world order resulting from the sudden fatal drop in US productivity.
  21. Nooooooo... No more Sean Bean. The rest of the characters are so meh, a few exceptions aside.
  22. I would say it's pretty straight forward that the US is worse than the Guatemalan goverment for creating a demand for human subjects. It's also beside the point, they are both wrong, and have no exuse for their actions whatsoever. This is really about how bad the military industrial complex can get out of hand. it's a story that is repeated on neuclear test sites and base locations across asia where the populace was displaced, basically kicked out of their homes with no compensation, or deliberately conned into signing their rights away because the US needed the space.
  23. No, yes. Is Old World Blues yet another one of those deals where you get bumped on the head and lose all your items.
  24. They should make an effort to see if any of the doctors were still alive, and have them dragged before the warcrimes tribunal like they still do with surviving Nazis.
