  1. http://www.retrevo.com/search?q=HP+2710m&a...odelid=23658715 People are liking this for price - performance wise, but look at the power consumption. 135 Watt while running it vs, 29 Watt. That's insane.
  2. Reviews hate it, and after looking at comparisons, the only thing it has going for it is the price.
  3. http://www.edbpriser.dk/Product/Details.aspx?pid=4728486 I'm looking at one of the mid range sync masters. Very low power consumption, LED backlit, at 29 watt maximum, the lowest I have seen in any of the 27" i have browsed. 2 ms response time, which should be plenty fast. 1920 x 1080. The jump to 2560 x 1440 is quite an expensive one, so it will have to do.
  4. Buying a flat screen for a friend, the specs look pretty confusing though. I'm not entirely sure what it is that makes one model twice the price of a comparable one in terms of resolution and response time.
  5. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:IPA_for_Latin Yes, but given that no one actually speaks Latin in the real world, we use English phonemes, and get 'eI' for eː Yes, this is a waste of time, but now I can't stop.
  6. Not saying I could do better.
  7. looks like he painted over a render instead of figuring out what a sitting human really looks like from that angle in that kind of sofa.
  8. Deus sure as hell ain't pronounced deius by anyone able to actually speak a language that is not English. It's latin dude. Nobody really knows. Google says 'deɪ əs ɛks ˈmɑ kə nə' If anyone here remembers their phonetics course, that's what I said. Excepting that I didn't use proper symbols.
  9. It's pronounced 'deius', as in 'god in the machine', drunk spastic.
  10. lol. interviewer is close to falling down drunk.

    Yep.

The game shipped with a fatal bug 2/3 into the game. I wonder if they even bothered addressing that. Anyway thanks for the link. I've asked for a refund, not sound to reward STEAM for being lazy.

All STEAM offers in the way of help is a probably long dead link to activision support.
  14. Gorgon replied to Rosbjerg's topic in Computer and Console
You might want to hold back on getting it though, I did and I can't launch. The engine thinks I don't have enough video ram. You would think STEAM would have handled issues like that before offering it. The game is either dx8 or 9 and it doesn't play well with modern cards.

This is from way back, from before vampires became lame.
  16. Integration happens when the kids go to the same schools, have the same interests etc. While I don't believe in forcing it, ghettos are usually not a positive factor.
  17. What's to discuss honestly. Whether we should meld into one national ideology, or accept that it isn't possible.
  18. Islamic terrorism accounts for around 10% of the total in Europe over the last 10 years. Maybe it's because we don't understand or at all appreciate religios motives that they seem that much more menancing.
  19. DW does add a lot of nifty features, including ways to keep your BB rating under control by offering a selection of Casus Bellis (if one or more applies), giving different BB modifiers for various actions. You can also chose whether or not you want to call on allies when going to war, so you can (with enough prestige) seriously gang up on select opponents when declaring wars, not just when being attacked. Of course, things sometimes comes back and bites you in the butt, because the AI does it too. As Byzantine Empire, I declared war on the lilliputanian state of Avignon, being only guaranteed by Portugal (defender of Catholic Faith). Portugal then declared war on me, summoning England and Spain to the conflict, Spain summoning France to the war, who again summoned all their sycophant vassal states. I was suddenly very alone in an all out war against all of Western Europe... Time for a reload Logitech makes the best gaming mouse, other than that stay away from them. You can't even download a driver without being forced into a survey. If you don't 'register' your hardware, they nag-screen you untill you do. I have never experienced that level of arrogance from any other hardware producre, ever.
  20. it still says 'August' on steam. That's open to a lot of interpretation.
  21. It's Boromir man. His credit that the first LotR movie turned out as well as it did. I kinda lost interest in that series as well with him out of it. Not sure why, but the rest was just... not as good. Probably not attributed to lack of Sean Bean, but true nonetheless.
  22. I guess he desperately wanted to feel important, nothing less than 1500 pages would do.
  23. Can you actually rebuild your char, I only saw the possibility of changing traits, not perks.
  24. Yes, well, except that dialouge is rarely any good. Bethesda possibly has the worst record of all, both when it comes to writing and voice acting. Personally I engage in dialouge when I get interested, when I don't I skip past it, even on the first playthrough, particularly Bethesda games.
  25. Yes, that's very scary. So is that feeling of falling, like you had just tripped over something and your brain is screaming 'must perform corrective action', but you can't because you are asleep. Actually it's just like that thing in inception, except it doesn't work. You don't wake up.
