Ah but I am. I love an RPG that contorts on the player's actions. I will replay a game years later and once again be impressed with it. ** What I find that I don't like much is a game whose developer decides that every location needs to be shown off to the player in one go. Its not so terrible for an area to be re-used with differing events, but IMO some areas should never be found by some PCs. ***Put more plainly... I'd be fine with entire cities not being mentioned if it went against the PCs attitudes, luck, or ethics. Consider Tortuga in Pirates of the Caribbean... I prefer freedom. If you want to get on with the main story you can do that, if you want to stop and smell the flowers and do side quests you can do that, but none of the content of the game is blocked on the first play-through. The division between humans and non humans felt as forced as it was in the first game and it would have been better left alone, although this time around they were a little better at not forcing words down your throat that you didn't even remotely agree with.

So you will be running around most of the time with basic augs and weapons temporarily confiscated because otherwise getting the difficulty right would be too hard. That's about as rare as plot induced amnesia. Still, not the most important consideration.

I upgraded my pistol all the way. It is now a wonderfully murderous little thing. Takes down anything up to a heavy quickly and quietly from the front. If I sneak around and take the headshot from the back they go down silently as well.

The second boss battle depends heavily on whether you have one aug or not. I beat her with sprint upgrade and cloak. Was lucky I had enough batteries to keep cloaked while I recovered health from the electricity blasts 3 or 4 times. I prefer playing on normal, but no Typhoon aug allowed.

The biggest annoyance is still the melee system. You can expend all your energy and still sprint at full tilt for 10 seconds, but you can't whack they guard right next to you over the head. The opposition can hit you in melee, they do it all the time in the final mission, you just stand there and listen to an error sound until your energy is recharged, not cool from a game-play perspective. There should be melee attacks, not guaranteed to take someone down silently, but available.

Kid gets mauled by pitbull > media induced panic > legislation. Getting a dog is a 10+ year commitment and responsibility though so telling people they ether have to move or have their dog put down, it's not exactly fair.

I long for the days of proper adons, before salami slice DLCs you could expect a substantial addition, nearing the length of the actual games. Now a gun and a hat would qualify.

, seems kinda worn out for a conspiracy theory. I think there were better options. Overall I liked the game a lot. I wish they had done more mobs for boss-fights instead of all those reloads until you found a method that worked by trial and error.

I saw loads for Final Fantasy # whatever they are at now. Other than that nothing. They did meld rather naturally with the Shanghai experience, no particular complaints.

I liked it better before I had the social aug when I just chose whatever reply made the most sense. Don't really care if Jensen isn't the great conversationalist. I'm just over the haft way mark now and I'm running out of meaningful things to spend praxis points on. I guess I could upgrade stealth or hacking some more. Don't want to upgrade typhoon to max because it already feels like cheating.

Yeah too much hacking, but you can't resist the xp, money and goodies bonus from breaking into everything. I only upgrade the pistol and revolver. That way I can always use whatever happens to be lootable at the time.

I too am getting the urge to restart because I don't like my build. This time I'm going with Hacking (5) and inventory upgrade (3) No energy upgrade above 2. That should make me a lot of money, and the capacity to pick up and carry lots of extra ammo. I'll factor in the jumping and strength augs when I get to Shanghai. I don't see the point of typhoon except against mechs and turrets since it requires energy you aren't likely to be able to use it when you need it the most. This could be said for most activated augs though. Better to max one out and leave it at that than to get them all.
