  1. What.. must have missed that.
  2. Dead Island. It's my new favorite game. I have been playing for two hours and I haven't even seen a gun. Still, I seem to manage throwing various household implements at the infected. It's a bit wonky because it was meant as online coop. You can't die, or rather, it doesn't matter. You spawn a few seconds later and lose a few dollars as a penalty. Bit of a hit to the survival horror aspect of it, but the rest is good enough to make up for it.
  3. I'd make you a deal. Cigarettes banned in public if you weren't allowed to drive anywhere unless you absolutely needed to. 5 kids to drop off, or part of your job ok. Everything else, get on your bike and stop stinking up the place for the rest of us. Or would that be encroaching on personal freedom. hmm..
  4. I'd worry about exhaust gasses before the odd plume of cigarette smoke. You might not like the smell, but you are asking too much.
  5. I dunno, demanding that people can't smoke outside. That seems a bit much. The argument of the strain on public health care (for those countries that have such a thing) is legitimate enough. Ultimately people should be allowed to poison themselves however they see fit and help pay the cost through heavy taxation.
  6. That does back to FO3. Minigun and ripper loops could just be the raider you ran away from 20 mins ago.
  7. They seemed to do increased damage. Or instant kills. Agreed parry could take out a quarter or more of HP, it was actually one of my favorite skills. Yes, but that works about a third of the time. Mostly you fail the counter, even with perfect timing.
  8. It's hard to spot in type.
  9. Watch out for those sales. You will wind up with a load of crap you will never play and would never have bought otherwise, but it was really really cheap !
  10. Good swordsmen kill quickly and effectively, they don't stand around enjoying the scenery.
  11. Come to think of it mine isn't onboard. it came with the board. Probably on the cheap side but very common. I don't think I have ever bothered updating the drivers for it because it never gave me any hassle.
  12. Well sure, if you wanted the fights to last longer than they needed to, you could.
  13. Parrying didn't work before unless you were up against a boss. No point in just standing there expending resources while you hope for a lucky counter when you could be using signs.
  14. Give it a year to get to a presentable state.
  15. That's just consideration and common sense. Who would want to light up when it would piss off the people around you. Smokers are used to having to go outside.
  16. I don't make enough money to be worth downsizing, they will just pay us the same and expect us to run faster.
  17. A gun and a hat, and a single mission. pfffffffffffff...
  18. It's trial and error until you find the formula. It can get a bit tedious. I like mobs better, assuming the game doesn't let you use the same bit of cover as a panacea for every situation which it is somewhat guilty of. If you don't turn your tactical advantage into a disadvantage after 4-5 second crouched behind the same crate the game is doing something wrong.
  19. Get some proper cold medicine, drunk.
  20. Well, I'm done. Uninstalled. On to other things. I got to fire the Bozar in anger a few times, didn't have the caps to check out the rest.
  21. Ulysses is basically Kurtz from Apocalypse Now. I don't remember if Brando came up with most of that stream of consciousness babble himself or if he was just given bad lines. Anyway the important thing is not the words but the overall bouquet of the word soup. As poetry slam characters go, he's not bad.
  22. Later on September 16, Miller placed a new poster on his office door in response to Walter's censorship. The poster read "Warning: Fascism" and included a cartoon image of a silhouetted police officer striking a civilian. The poster mocked, "Fascism can cause blunt head trauma and/or violent death. Keep fascism away from children and pets." On September 12, 2011, Professor Miller posted on his office door an image of Nathan Fillion in Firefly and a line from an episode: "You don't know me, son, so let me explain this to you once: If I ever kill you, you'll be awake. You'll be facing me. And you'll be armed." This is university right, it's meant to be for adults. Drama class is not intended to be daycare for rich kids. How are you ever going to be able to create anything worthwhile if you have to worry about a host of PC rules and guidelines.
  23. i bloody hate bikers.
  24. Doing one last play through with my melee guy. With everything souped up the humble war club turns everything to a fine red mist in a few seconds. Only problem is death claws do so much damage even with my heavy armor it takes just two or three hits, and the feat that protects against KO doesn't seem to work all the time with them.
