Wow the ending was pretty non climatic. They had built up the wild hunt in all the flashbacks. Barely anything in the way of resolution.

What localization. The most you can expect is a manual printed in your language, and that's getting rare too.

I don't get it. Don't they still get paid if you buy an imported version. Games typically come out first in the US and then Europe. I don't see how parallel imports hurt the publisher in this case. It would be a problem if it came out in eastern Europe where prices have to be really low to try and compete with everyone being thieving bastards.

I got it instantly. What kind of nerds are you people? We're nerds born after 1990 I hate the pacing in newer action movies. I mean there has always been tripe with explosions every 5 minutes, but kids nowadays (I can't believe I actually said that) with their ADD mindset don't have the patience for movies like Aliens or HEAT, when they are of course true action movies. An hour of incredibly expensive particle effects and product placement, that's what you can expect if you want action. The genre is dead.

I will say this though. The game is not good at introducing the vast supporting cast. Often characters will be introduced in passing in conversation and you have no idea who they are and who they work for and you will have to try and remember their names to look them up in the journal after. What-ians live in what country under which king and what are their ambitions. This is not abundantly clear, especially on your first play-through. To make things worse you get references to characters from Witcher 1 who aren't in this game.

Every season needs a new sales gimmick. Looks like 3D is going to collect big time on the strength of the success in the movie theaters. You don't want to buy until it's been run through it's teething period and a standard has been adopted, probably not then either.

I seem to have gotten over the hump regarding difficulty. Parry is kinda pointless except for 1v1 with non monster bosses. Not that many of those around. Dagger throw lv2, another wasted talent. Too expensive to maintain a steady supply. Just finished chapter 2 but it seems like I missed a lot of content around the fort and was cut off by the main quest line advancing. Overall I think it's getting better after the prologue. Button mashing is very much the way to go with quen to reduce and cause damage, doesn't matter what kind of battle it is, just left button attack. Gets even easier after you unlock adrenaline.

Happens to me as well, although it's very rare. It seems to be related to the speed with which the screen is panning and how much of the POW is panning at the same time. Quick is fine, sluggish, and if the whole POW is doing it at the same time. That's like hitting the brown note.

I'd like to know what the alternative is to strafing until swallow has healed you is. Particularly if there are 4 or 5 opponents and you don't have resources like bombs or traps.

The only thing that seems to work is chain hitting intercepted with signs, try and kill one and then roll out of there so you don't get mobbed. I spent a long time running around in circles waiting for my health to regen enough for me to have another go at my pursuers. Not very entertaining.

They are opportunists who are starting to figure out that the opportunity is lost. It might continue a day or two more on the strength of the international news attention, but these global stories have amazingly short half-lifes, as media attention starts to dwindle, so will the rioting.

I don't care if a game has a bad inventory system or not, that's really beneath noticing when it comes to total impression to me. I stopped playing as well though. It lacked... something, I don't know what, and it was too hard even on normal. Also I didn't relish the idea of waiting until the game was near over until I had most of the combat moves. I don't want to be a lv. 1. anything again.
