The worst I've seen in level scaling lately is Dead Islands Diabloesque weapon rq. You can have a 'strong, flimsy hammer'. Strong because you need to be lv 40 to swing it, and flimsy because of the durability stat. A lv 40 Zombie poses exactly the same challenge for the player as a vl1.

And you will be standing in a dark corridor just when the game autosaves, unable to see the in-game result of fiddling around with the make-a-face for half an hour. It's tradition.

Keep them in the dark for as long as possible seems to be the preferred tactic. It's what you would do if your game was utter sheit, but it's the good tittles as well. Why risk anything when you can just spin a tale about new supposedly revolutionary mechanics without having to show your hand.

Caesar had to be stabbed in the senate, Louis XVI had to be guillotined for all to see. Advancements in our justice systems wouldn't have done away with the necessity. The loyalists needed to know that the battle was lost, now and down the line. Of course it went rather poorly for the new regimes in my examples, but the logic is still sound I think. A small price to pay held up against civil war.

Back when my ISP was unreliable and internet would be unavailable for a few days at a time. It would save the offline information as it was supposed to and seemingly work a few times and then suddenly try and connect to steam when I launched the game anyway and I would get the dreaded 'game not currently available' thingie. I don't know if steam got better or I don't notice it because my connection is a lot more stable. But it certainly has not been without problems in the past.

You mean it's already prepped for water cooling. I don't know that ATI cards work any worse than Nvidia, or that paying extra will somehow improve on that.
