  1. Appart from the fact that you can get it wrong and damage something valuable, ask Bokshi, putting it together is not much harder than building a lego castle.
  2. My feeling on this is either go full monty or don't bother. Very few games ever have a fulfilling story. If it doesn't have intrinsic reward, like talking to an NPC you want to know more about, don't go on endlessly about the desperate need to retrieve the mcguffin/fulfill the prophecy. There is also a really basic fail in the way many assassinations were designed in the first games. You would get a 'mission failed' just for being discovered. That's not a game stopper, that's a result, now show me the consequences, don't quit just after it got interesting.
  3. I can't muster the will to complete it. Been playing warlock. It's insanely addictive. I kinda wish my towers could be set to auto though, so you don't have to give the same order every turn.
  4. Nationaldemokratische Partei Deutschlands ?
  5. So has anyone noticed increased quality from the giant budgets arising over the last decade.
  6. I dunno, they are deliberately baiting the cops. Nothing wrong with saying 'you get one chance, cut it out'. They are cops, not the royal guards
  7. Invisible formatting from a copy-paste operation is the obvious mistake.
  8. One phoneme makes all the difference http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9f9q4u4cdbs
  9. I see nothing to get me excited in the gameplay footage. I feel like I have played it, liked it, and gotten tired of it already.
  10. Yes those. I just haven't seen a turn based game in a while.
  11. I can recommend trying out the demo. Unlike some games, this one gives a fair indication of what to expect. What's with the octangular grid (actually what's the word for a something with 6 sides) it's visually distracting. Getting the demo though.
  12. Was going to see Avengers, but I left my credit cards at work. Looking at a wicked replacement for my bike that got stolen. Of course the more wicked the faster it will get stolen as well. Does anyone know if one of those GPS transponders do any good. Maybe I should get insurance this time, it's just so ludicrously expensive and homeowner's doesn't cover. Well not unless it was stolen from your livingroom.
  13. I googled Dai the Maniac thinking my lack of knowledge of Britons was preventing me from getting a joke. This came up. I don't know what it is but I approve. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bo3v9savzg
  14. Why should it matter if it was a choice. Is it more noble if it was thrust upon you and you had to cope as best you could. Is it that if it were a choice that it would be something you could reverse. It's probably a little bit of nature to a little bit of nurture, the exact formula being unquantifiable and also largely irreversible. People don't generally change, and even less so after a formation of sexual identity. As long as you can trump the basic human group dynamic of pushing away those that are 'different' intellectually, you're good.
  15. On a related note, they want Danish priests to come up with an alternate version of the ceremony for use by priests in gay marriages. They won't do it. On the one hand gays pay part of the sallary of clergy in Denmark so they sort of have a right to demand services in return, on the other it's a religious tradition and thousands of years old. Shouldn't reform come from the inside rather than from activists on the outside.
  16. So, isn't it really the segment that want to reserve it for man+woman who are trying to turn back the clock ?
  17. What I don't understand is why gays want anything to do with a religious ritual from a church which does not recognise their right to be together. The word 'marriage' is not reserved exclusively for man+woman, that's a false argument. Does anyone here have any trouble with what the term 'gay marriage' means... I didn't think so. Surely usage is the final arbiter of language. A segment of population want to claim it exclusively for a heterosexual union. That's really on them though.
  18. The lobby kinda forced him to 'come out' and make it official. Left to his own devices he would have done as little as he could get away with. Gay and lesbian rights is not a place to spend political capital but a good place to get it, from the purely pragmatic Democrat's POV.
  19. Don't use any of those over the counter nasal sprays. Get one of these ridiculous looking things instead. They will actually alleviate the problem rather than excaserbate it. The idea is that you flush warm salt water from one nostril through to the other, I can attest that it actually works.
  20. Time to shelf this series and wait untill there is a complete season to watch. My attention span can't manage waiting a whole week for another episode.
  21. I think it might fare better as a smart phone game. Provided they could find the fun factor. Those few clips didn't have it.
  22. I don't think we should be making that many noises right now considering the state of the squad.
  23. I'm confiusing him with Ben Foster. , or they are secretly the same person.
  24. The leads are supposed to be 21 year olds, thereabouts. Why, it's pretty obvious that they are not. What's so horrible about being in your 30s. Act your age Timberlake, so to speak. Maybe his days as a teenage hearthrob has convinced him that growing old and growing up will destroy his career. In in all the gangster movies he's allways the inexperienced one who invevitably betrays Mark Wallberg/ Jason Statham/ Jet Li/ whomever.
  25. The boss fight with the Kraken was so boring it turned me off the game entirely. Same as the earth titan only you have to wait forever for an opening and then do it all over again a dozen times. Not good.
